Chapter 525: Chapter 489: Infiltration

Night in Ciwane.

The noise was deafening, and the crowd buzzed with activity. This was an ultra-large Entertainment City located in Ciwane’s most bustling area, featuring all kinds of large arcade machines on the ground floor, and upstairs, there were pool rooms, cinemas, and more.

Two men in gray trench coats entered the main gate of Entertainment City. One of the men wore glasses and appeared somewhat dull, while the other was tall and his solid muscles made his clothes bulge.

Once inside, they looked around and then headed toward an arcade machine, a two-player shooting game. They picked up the toy rifles in front of them, inserted coins, and began to play.

"...Your shooting technique is nothing short of terrible."

"A martial artist doesn’t need to practice with guns."

"True, I only did some training when I first enlisted."

"This game is too boring, when is our person going to show up?"

"They should be here soon..."

The two were Wu Power and Xing Jun, and tonight was their first time partnering on a mission. They were both in disguise, completely unrecognizable from their normal appearances; even acquaintances wouldn’t be able to identify them.

An Asian man dressed in Entertainment City staff attire was holding a stack of flyers, continuously speaking to the passerby tourists, seemingly promoting something.

A few minutes later, he gradually approached Wu Power and Xing Jun, eventually heading towards them.

"Gentlemen, would you like to learn about our promotional event?"

He spoke in English, smiling as he handed over the flyers.

"Yanhuang," Xing Jun took the flyer and said quietly.

"Huaxia."

The staff member continued to smile and swiftly replied in Chinese.

Xing Jun’s eyes brightened. Pretending to look at the flyer in his hand, he asked softly, "How’s it going?"

"There’s a big gambling event tonight. Our target arrived ten minutes ago and should now be in the rest area."

"Good, is everything ready?"

"It’s all set up."

"Great work."

"Be careful, there’s a lot of security here, and the target has some tough guys with him."

"Got it."

They swiftly finished their conversation. Xing Jun looked impatient, waved his hand, and indicated for the man to leave.

The man left with a crestfallen face, turning to approach other tourists.

Xing Jun held a USB drive in his hand, concealed by the flyer. He turned to Wu Power and said, "Get ready for action."

Then he turned and left the Entertainment City, got into a compact car parked by the roadside.

Sitting in the car, Xing Jun inserted the USB drive into a laptop and skillfully began to operate it.

Soon, all surveillance footage from inside and outside of the Entertainment City appeared on the computer screen.

"Let’s begin," he said into the microphone, wearing his headset.

In Entertainment City, guided by instructions from Xing Jun coming through his wireless earpiece, Wu Li made his way deeper into the populated corridors.

Right at the crossroads of the corridor ahead, a warning sign blatantly read "No Admittance for Non-Staff", and a security guard from Entertainment City stood at a junction further down. However, at that moment he pressed his earpiece as if talking to someone, and after a moment, his gaze shifted to the side.

In the central control room, a nearby security camera had apparently come loose, and was now uncontrollably pointing to the ground. The person in charge asked a nearby security guard to handle it, which led to the guard speaking a couple of words and then walking towards the camera a few meters away.

Wu Li passed through the junction, taking the opportunity to slip on a pair of gloves.

As one of the Mandela family’s key strongholds in Ciwane’s underworld, this Entertainment City had a complex array of internal pathways surrounded by tightly sealed rooms, with surveillance covering the entire route.

Wu Li’s pace was neither fast nor slow, and following Xing Jun’s instructions, he walked calmly through the corridors without showing a hint of nervousness.

When to walk, when to stop, when to change direction, when to speed up... Xing Jun’s guidance was quick and precise, and Wu Li inched closer to the location of the target individual.

In fact, if either of them made any slight mistake, Wu Li would have been discovered. A premature exposure, even without considering Wu Li’s safety, could possibly cause the cautious target individual to flee immediately.

Qian Kun and a group of intelligence officers had exerted a great deal of effort to finally capture a trace of the target individual, thus creating this opportunity for Wu Li and Xing Jun tonight. Therefore, Wu Li couldn’t afford to reveal himself too early.

Up to this point, Wu Li’s progress had gone smoothly, thanks to the intelligence officers’ groundwork preparation and Xing Jun’s accurate judgment. If it were Wu Li in charge, he definitely couldn’t have managed, as he lacked professional training in this area. Hence, tonight’s plan had Wu Li making the hit, while Xing Jun was ready to assist from the outside.

Of course, Wu Li had his own advantages: his powerful execution ability. He could complete any of Xing Jun’s commands without fail.

For example, at this moment, Wu Li passed the corridor ahead, turned the corner at the next junction, and as he approached the next fork, he pressed his foot against the side wall and his hands and feet braced across the opposite sides of the passage.

In less than a second, Wu Li clung to the ceiling like a gecko.

The next second, a guard turned the corner and appeared at the fork, passing slowly beneath Wu Li.

Looking at the man passing below, a blade silently protruded from his sleeve. Wu Li’s gaze was calm as he watched below, devoid of any murderous intent, but should the guard notice, he would encounter Wu Li’s ’Dark Fragrance’.

A few seconds later, the guard walked past Wu Li’s position. A few more seconds and he seemed to sense something, looking back.

But the long corridor held no suspicious figures, so with a shake of his head, he moved forward.

Wu Li had already entered the next bend. As he approached the next turn, his right fist flew out!

A tall man, standing at one meter eighty and muscularly built, happened to walk around the corner perfectly into the narrow view, as if he had suddenly entered the scene to meet Wu Li’s casually thrown fist.

Without a sound, the man’s face didn’t even have time to show confusion or surprise before a tremendous power focused onto one point on his fingertip burst upon the fragile spot of his Adam’s apple, and in that instant, it seemed as though he could hear the sound of his cervical spine shifting.

The next moment, consciousness faded away.

In a brief instant, it all seemed smooth and natural, as if everything was meant to happen that way. Wu Li’s casual punch flew out, yet his pace didn’t slow down because of it; he continued straight on.

Figures crossed paths, and Wu Li naturally reached out to grasp the man’s head.

A brief, strange "crack" sound filled the air, as if something snapped abruptly.

The two silhouettes brushed by each other, separating naturally, and Wu Li casually flung his hand backward to catch the man who was about to fall to the ground.

Then, the sound of his heels brushing against the carpet whispered through the beautifully decorated corridor...
