Her eyes flung open as her head raised to see him. "No. I never said that. You did not disgust me."

"You did not say it. I felt your body tremble when I touched you and although I had never been aroused by a girl before, I felt my body change and my insides will me to have you. You were the first to give me that feeling and I reacted."

"It was understandable. Men have needs and I deprived you of yours."

"I never would have forced you, Era. If I wanted, I would have made love to you that night, but I left, waiting for the day you would come to me and love me."

"I thought you were strong enough to fight your battles," he smiled at her. "After all, you did fight against me and you hurt me with your words when you called me a monster."

Just watching his facial expression contort in pain and agony, she was forced to recall how she felt when she found out he ran into a trap just for her. Her body felt like leaving her as her soul dispersed in search of him.

Now she understood it all but he was worse.

She had fallen completely for him and cared so much about him.

She moved both hands, and he lifted his head for her to place her hand underneath his face while he rested against the pillow and the other hand caressed his other cheek.

"I am so sorry, Vidor. I never intended to make you go through so much pain and suffering."

"No. I guess it is one of my punishments for how I treated you."

"Stop saying that, Vidor. I can see you and I know you have changed."

"No love. I was shown how miserable I would become without you in my life and Era, trust me, I do not want it. So, believe me, if that ever happened again, I would leave my throne and come for you. Without you, there is no me and without my Queen, Etheria would have no King."

She pressed her forehead on his, shutting her eyes involuntarily. "I cannot change your mind?"

"No, because I love you so much that it hurts and I cannot do anything about it."

"I promise," Era smiled, opening her eyes.

"Good. I can settle with that, my love. And when you finally give me your heart and love me, I would make Etheria jubilate that day."

"Haha, no. I would love a small celebration with just you and me."

She caressed his cheeks again, moving back to his hair and playing with it. "You are handsome."

Smiling sheepishly, she brought her lips closer, moving her body with her and as she pressed her lips to his, her body melted in his.

Vidor held her close, prying his mouth open to receive her kiss and give back to her with equal passion, if not more.
