"You have changed Vidor," Era felt her heartbeat begin to go at a rapid pace in her chest.

She did not know why it was like that but hearing for a fact that she was indeed having an impact on Vidor gave her the best thought.

"So your majesty, mind telling me why you were hiding those hickeys on your neck From me?"

"You already know the answer Aeverie. Why are you making it seem this way like I am punishing you or something?"

"It is fun teasing you, your majesty. Forgive me. I just could not resist the urge."

Era rolled her eyes at her. This was a good way for her to tease her. Tsk. It was such a sad thing because Vidor was at fault here.

But could she blame it all on him?

"But you loved it."

"I..." Era was about to lie. However, seeing the knowing look on Aeverie’s face she shrugged the idea off. It would be useless thinking she could get away from her with this.

"Fine. Yes, I loved it."

"Yippee!!" Though she was older than Era, her joy right now looked like one of a little child.

"Awwn, I can smell the scent of true love, your majesty."

"You may say that," Aeverie interjected. "But I see it written over you. You are so much in love with him."

"I just like him off now. I wish things were different though and we had met on this circumstance."

"I understand you. If his majesty behaved this way when you first came, by now you two would have become one of the most loved couple histories could produce."

"Thanks. I still want to honour my family’s memory."

"You can, your majesty," Aeverie’s smile dropped a fraction as she walked up to Era and held her hands in hers while rubbing on the back of her palm.

"Your father, though I may not have known him so much I could tell he was a man of peace and he raised you that way. I know for a fact that he would not want you killing yourself in revenge. At least not with your husband because all parents would want their children to find love and you, my queen, you just did."

"Sigh. Father was always good. Too good in fact for this world. He was perfect."

"True," Aeverie agreed. "Too bad the conspiracies of the palace caught up with him."

"And all because of me, they suffered such a cruel faith. I do not deserve happiness when theirs was cut short."

"No!" She shocked Era with her yell, stunning the young girl. "You deserve it. You did not put yourself in any of this in the first place. So please take out time and enjoy. We only live once dear. You once suffered so much pain, allow yourself to heal now."

"Thank you, Aeverie."

"Anytime, your majesty. So, you want a bath? I can feel the heat from your body. It looks like King Vidor worked you up real good."

Era blushed even more. Aeverie was at it again, teasing her like there was no tomorrow.

"You look so cute now. I bet if he sees you acting this way. He would want to eat you."

Era was shocked by that statement not because of what it could mean bed wise but because she now understood part of the reason Vidor was so persistent with his kisses.

"What? Did I trigger a lovely memory?"

Era pushed at her shoulder a little bit. Quickly, she wasted no more time before Aeverie took more advantage of her shyness and walked past her.

"No. I think I just figured out why he never got tired of kissing me."

’Why?"

"What you said. With my face looking so cute made him want to eat me."

"Oh silly," Aeverie shook her head. If only she knew the real meaning of him eating her up. "He would do more than just that if he has his way and eats you up."

"But... B-but, I-I am not meat," she stuttered, finally saying what she thought.

"Of course, you’re not. But you would become his meat when he wants to make love to you."

"Aaahhh, do not corrupt my ears."

She pushed further into her chambers, moved to her bed area and began to undress. "I think I want that bath now."

"The water has been prepared for you, your majesty. Do not worry, I would not tease you any further. Just look at the difference between your body and your face. Red and white."

"Thanks to you and Vidor of course," she winked at her Lady Royal, before stepping out of her gown, leaving her in only her inner garment.

"We are one of a kind. And the best there is."

"Yeah." Slowly she bit down on her lower lip. Her mind recalled his last kiss before they were caught. It was so.... Awwnn...

She let out a satisfied sigh and made her way to her bathroom with thoughts of him in her mind and more importantly, his confession.

Aeverie watched silently from where she stood as Era walked the path towards the bathroom with her finger on her lips. There was no doubt about it. She was thinking and it was simply thoughts of her time with the king.

If only there was a way she had seen it all and disobeyed her.

She had wanted to do that but did not want to disobey Era but the hickeys proudly showing on her neck, made Aeverie wish she did.

Not because she was naughty but she just wanted to see more of their PDA, it was so cute and heartwarming. Yet it gave her the best hope she could ever have about the kingdom.
