Once they had gone, Vidor returned his gaze to Era, enjoying how shy she was. "Ahem!" He cleared has throat and looked away.

"No. You seem out of it and forgot to eat." He lied and sat up straight. "If you feel uncomfortable in your position, allow me set the pillows for you so you can feel cozy."

"There you go." They resumed eating, not saying more to each other until they were done. Once that as out, one served the wine for her himself, got the snacks ready as well and placed them in front of them.

There was so much he wished to tell her and now that she was right before him, he found it almost impossible to utter anything out to her.

"The meal was nice," Era began, breaking the awkward silence.

"It is. I am glad you like it."

"Yes. Thanks for inviting me."

"Well breakfast wasn’t breakfast without you yesterday," Vidor confessed.

"Ah, I see. I am sorry. I just did not feel like it."

"I understand. I am also sorry. Th sight of those men obviously disgust you. I can ban them from joining in the din8ng and only make it for the royal family as it should be."

"No. It is also a way you keep your eyes on them and remind them who rules."

"Something like that," he agreed. "But more than that. The dining is meant for the royals and although I have won them over, I want to remind them of their dignity as royals."

"Really now? Most kings won’t do that. Which brings me to the question, why not call yourself the emperor? I mean you already have an empire with so many kingdoms conquered under you."

A smile formed at the corners of his lips before he took his drink and sipped it slowly. Era stopped eating and watched him, silently waiting for him to finish and give her an explanation.

"Well, I guess in as much as I want to have all under me, I just do not think of myself as an emperor."

"It wasn’t much of my decision. Anyways, would you love to be the empresss? I can arrange for that and change the system for you. So if you itch for the title that and, I would give it to you."

"And if we are in front of your subjects?"

"I would kiss you still."

"That is enough." She shut her eyes and covered her ears quickly. That’s as a moment she did not nat to admit in his presence.
