Chapter 192

"If you had not used that example, I would not know what your fear was about," Era explained further.

"I see the mistake and error of my past had become a problem in yours, but my dear not all love has to be ill fated like mine."

"No, your majesty. Your love with his majesty is not ill fated. If there is anything, I admire it. Everyone in the palace is talking about your kiss with his majesty after the battle. I love it."

"Ah!" Era blushed. How had they gone from Azzura’s love problem to hers and Vidor’s.

"I wish to hav e alive like that."

"Do not wish upon someone else’s love because you do it know the battle they face," Era warned.

"But you could forgive him after what he did and love him, that is remarkable."

’Have I really forgiven him?’ Era questioned within herself. ’He hurt me and created an emptiness in my heart that none can ever fill up. I won’t say I have forgiven him for what he did but I cannot also deny I care or I do not even know what is is going on between us.’

Unfortunately for her, she was giving love advise whereas she was in equal dilemma, only that she wasn’t torn between the tove of two men but between her revenge and her feelings.

"This isn’t about me. His majesty and I are still sorting out our problem. This time your case is different. Who knows perhaps after you ah e come to know Jasper, you may love him more than Avi. At times, not all you see is just what it seems. Get both of them to open up more. Test them, their temperament towards you and so many other things. Marriage is a big step, Azzura."

"Yes. It is, so think carefully and do not be too bothered that it weighs you down and affect your work. Your first duty is to her majesty before anything else," Aeverie reminded her.

"Calm down, Aeverie. My subordinates can marry and live a good life. I am not against that. Anyways what she is trying to say is that you should be more free and happy. Take your time and take it from me. Given the choice, I wouldn’t have gotten married now. I would have loved first but as you know the situation did not permit that."

"I see. Thank you, your majesty. Thank you Lady Aeverie. This means a lot."

"Anytime. Now what I asked you about before. How are the kids?"

lThey are fine, your grace. Ira is bleeding in well. She and little Ava have become inseparable."

"That is good. I won’t be able to go there for a while. I need things to quiet down at the palace first. It was my leaving that gave Caspian the guts to accuse me and make Vidor leave to battle in the first place. I cannot allow such happen again. So please the next time you return, tell Ora and the kids that I need to sort somethings out for now and once I can, I would visit them again."

"Yes, your majesty. I understand. I would do just that."

"Thank you dear. Now, I need to have my bath and prepare."

"Your majesty, what abou breakfast with everyone?" Azzura asked.

"No worries. I just want to have breakfast while in work in my study. Those scrolls would not tend to themselves alone, would they?"

She chuckled lightly at Era’s remark. "No, it won’t."

"Good."

"I am glad you realize that and you need to do the same, Azzura," Aeverie scolded. "Now off to work."

She stood up, lowered her head before Era before heading to prepare her bath.

KPOR! KPOR!

She had just gotten to the bath chambers when a knock came on the door. She lifted her heard and arched a brow at the door. In the same vain, Aeverie turned around and went to answer it.

Rather than doing something else, she decided to wait to see who it was that was coming to see her this early in the morning.

The bolts of the door unlocked and Aeverie pushed her body out a bit while sticking her head out of the door to see who it was.

"Good morning, Lady Aeverie."

"Good morning. How may I help you?" Her eyes draped over the body of the young man, making sure he was not a threat whatsoever.

While she was busy accessing him, the young lad smiled at her and peeped into the room. The second his eyes met Era where she sat looking towards his direction, she looked away and blushed.

Till now they and not had any time for a proper discussion due to how stingy Vidor was with Era’s time. It was even a surprise he had agreed to let him deliver a messag to Era for him.

"Yes?" Aeverie questioned one more time.

"Yes. Ahem!" He cleared his throat, straightened up while giving her the most charming smile. "Good morning ma’am. I am here to see her majesty."

"On what grounds?" Aeverie asked, scrutinizing the boy.

"On the majesty’s orders." He poped his chest out a bit,to show her he was the least afraid even though he felt like peeeing form the kind of look Aeverie gazpve him.

"I see. Okay, what is your name. I would check in with her majesty first."

"I do not think that is necessary ma’am. Please inform her majesty that the king sent a message and it is of utmost urgency."

Seeing that he knew his stand, Aeverie chuckled lightly before stepping aside and opening the door wide. "Very well then, young man, enter and deliver your message."

She had a weary smile on her face, causing him to gulp as he made his way in.

To celebrate he was fully in, she shut the door behind them, loud enough to frighten h boy. However, he was delivering his king’s message and behaved as though he felt nothing.

’Yikes. This is why Vidor sent me here. He knew I would be treated like this. Tsk, I knew he would always want to bully me.’
