Married To The Blind Alpha
Chapter 61: Drunk Aria.

Chapter 61: Drunk Aria.

Damien’s gaze moved round Tristan’s office, and he was not expecting it to be this big, well-furnished, and perfectly organized.

"What is it you wish to speak to me about?" Tristan asked.

Damien wondered why he felt nervous standing in front of a blind man. To hmm, Tristan power has always been overrated because how powerful can a man who does not see be?

Cole, who was standing beside Tristan, cleared his throat, seeing that Damien was still silent.

Coming back to his senses, Damien replied, "I would like to bring before you a proposal."

"A proposal? Fine, let’s hear it." Tristan said.

Damien let out a deep breath and said, "As you must already know, I defeated James in our duel, and now known as the Alpha of two packs, I am ready to end the war Shadow Moon Pack has always had with the golden rills, and as a peace treaty, I am offering the golden rills access to lands that Milton had once restricted you all from."

"In exchange for all these things, what do you want?" Cole asked.

"I want two things, actually. The first is Alpha Tristan’s support to become an Elder, the highest position a werewolf can attain."

"And the second?" Tristan asked, not showing any surprise at his demand.

"I want you to give Aria her freedom."

"Freedom?" Tristan asked with a laugh, but inside him, he wondered if Aria told Damien that she feels trapped with him. Now that a cure for her grandmother has been found, it was only natural for her to want to leave him, but still...she could have come to him herself and not sent a clown to do her dirty work.

"Aria told me the truth, that she only married you because of her grandmother’s cure, and now that the cure has been found, I think it’s only right that you set her free from this burden of a marriage."

"How dare you?" Cole asked angrily.

"Cole, leave us." Tristan ordered.

Cole gazes at Damien coldly before stepping out of the office. After everything the Alpha has done for the Luna, how could she do this? Sending Damien to ask for her freedom as if Tristan has ever treated her badly. So after using the Alpha, she wishes to go her way? How can she be so cruel?

Back at the office, Tristan stood up with his can in his hand and asked, "Is this what she told you?"

"Yes. Aria feels suffocated with you, but yet she pretends to be happy because only by pleasing you will her grandmother get cured."

"And now that her grandmother is cured, she wishes to leave me." Tristan said, unable to believe how she was able to feign her happiness with him. Was everything, including all the moments they spent together, a lie?

Even though Aria never told him any of this, he felt like it was up to him to free his friend from this loveless marriage. "Aria has a bright future, and getting tied down to you will only dim her light. I have offered her a house and have promised to help her start again with her grandmother, and she has accepted, but she fears your reaction, and that is why I offered to talk to you in her stead."

Tristan chuckled darkly and said, "When Aria first mentioned your name to me, I was curious about what type of person you are, and now I see it."

"What do you mean?"

"You hide your hunger for power and greed in your gentleman aura, and your type is what I hate the most. Since you have decided to become Aria’s spokesman, then tell her this: the only way I will let her leave my side is when I’m dead, and if she is lucky, she won’t have to wait long." Tristan said, clenching the cane in his hand.

Damien’s expression darkened at his response. What does he mean by she won’t have to wait long?

The door to the study was gently knocked, and after getting permission to come in, Cole entered and said, "There has been a slight problem with the Luna."

........

"I won!" Aria shouted, chugging down another glass of drink.

Tyler looked at Luna’s current drunk state and whispered to his wife, "Let’s hope the Alpha doesn’t kill you for getting his wife drunk."

Nyla laughed and replied, "Who cares, as long as she’s having fun." She turned to Aria, who was now sitting on the couch with her eyes closed.

Aria opened her eyes when she noticed her presence and asked, "Do you think they like me?"

Nyla looked at the guys that they had been playing cards with some minutes ago and replied, "I don’t think they like you; I know they love you."

Aria smiled, and a soft laugh escaped her lips. "Really?"

"Who wouldn’t like you? You are so cute. Drunk but cute."

Aria sighed and rested her head on the couch as she said, "I don’t think Tristan likes me. Hailey says he is only attracted to my innocence, and that’s why he won’t sleep with me."

"Ok, too much information, and I do not know who this Hailey is, but screw her. I saw the way Alpha Tristan was with you, and not once was he like that with Eva. Perhaps he doesn’t feel that you are ready to go that far with him."

"But I have told him that it was alright." Aria said with a pout, remembering all of Tristan’s rejection of them going further with their intimacy.

Nyla stood up and went to collect two glasses of whiskey and gave Aria one, coaxing her to finish everything. She then drank the one in her hand and said, "Since he doesn’t listen to your words, then maybe he will listen to your action. Why don’t you show him that you are ready?"

Aria was sure she couldn’t drink anymore because her head was already spinning. "Nyla, why are there two of you?"

Nyla laughed and replied, "I think I can also see two of you."

The two girls laughed, and Nyla leaned towards Aria, whispering something in her ear.

Aria gasped, using her hand to cover her mouth and widening her eyes dramatically. Her cheek flushed as she said, "I don’t think I can do that."

"With alcohol, you can do anything, and right now there is enough alcohol in your system for you to do it. Do not allow him to give you any hangover medicine because the best medicine for hangover is..."

"Mind-blowing sex." Aria repeated, laughing at what she had said.

Nyla rubbed her head and replied, "You are such a fast learner. Stick with me, and within a month, I will make the Alpha become a man that cannot even breathe without you."

"Aria!"

Aria sat upright when she heard her name, and suddenly everywhere became silent.

Cole glanced at Tristan and then at everyone as he said, "The party is over. Every one can now take their leave, and the rest can return to their quarters."

Confused by the sudden stop of the party, they still lingered around until they heard Tristan Alpha’s voice, commanding everyone to leave.

Aria stood up and shouted, "No. I command you all to stay and party."

Seeing a drunk Aria, Damien rushed to her, ignoring the fact that all eyes were currently on them. "Aria, are you alright? Why did you drink so much?"

Aria narrowed her eyes at the man in front of her because her gaze felt so blurry that she could barely see anything. "Who...who are you?"

"Cole." Tristan called out softly.

Cole nodded and then instructed everyone to leave. Within minutes, the hall was clear, leaving only Damien, Hailey, Cole, Tristan, and Aria.

Hailey rolled her eyes and asked her husband, "Don’t you plan on leaving?"

"Can’t you see that Aria is not ok?" Damien replied.

"I believe that I am more than capable of taking care of my wife. Aria, come to me." Tristan said, and the atmosphere felt dangerously heavy to the point that Cole, who was already used to all of Tristan’s moods, wished he was anywhere but here.

Hearing her husband’s voice, Aria smiled and pushed Damien away, walking towards Tristan. She wrapped her hands round his waist as she said in a loud voice, "Golden eyes."

Damien stood frozen as he watched Aria rubbing her head on Tristan’s chest as a little cat asking for affection, and he wondered why he felt a little void in his heart watching this. He immediately looked away and walked out of the hall.

Hailey was about to follow him, but then she stopped and said to Tristan, "You should remind your wife to stay away from my husband. You may not be aware, but lately, they have been getting so close that one would even find it disgusting."

"Get out." Tristan replied, raising his hand to gently pat his wife’s head.

Hailey scoffed and left, but watching the scene that just took place gave her an idea. If she could prove to everyone that Aria is having an affair with Damien, then Aria would be the one who would be executed for treason while she would live her life without losing anything.
