Married To The Blind Alpha -
Chapter 59: Did She Just Become A Millionaire!
Chapter 59: Did She Just Become A Millionaire!
Tristan and Aria stood in front of a huge wooden door, and the guard who was checking people in before allowing them through bowed at them and opened the door.
"We are one hour late." Aria whispered to Tristan who only smiled.
The moment the door was opened, Aria was surprised when almost everyone rushed to the front and bent one knee and bowed their head, saying.
"Long live Alpha Tristan!"
"Long live Luna Aria!"
Cole, who knelt at the front, stood up, and the rest of the members of the pack followed.
Aria smiled and looked at the man beside her. "You are really loved by your people."
"Not just me; you are also loved by them." Tristan said, tightening his grip on his cane as the sudden urge to cough almost conquered him. So far, he has been able to make sure that Aria never sees him cough up blood.
Cole came forward and said, "Please follow me."
Aria saw the two golden seats facing the crowd and knew that was where Cole wanted to lead them to.
As she held Tristan’s hand, she sighted Hailey, who was also looking at her, but Damien was not by her side. Did he not come with her?
Just like a King, Tristan sat on his golden throne and Aria sat beside him.
Cole stood in front of them as everyone began to offer their gift to him.
Aria was amazed as the gift kept piling up, and to think that this is the first birthday he was celebrating. Is that why they went all out?
It was time for Damien and Hailey to present their gift, and Damien handed a document to Cole, who looked through it.
"As a gift to Alpha Tristan, I have put two percent of my company shares in Luna Aria’s name."
Hailey frowned when she heard that and looked at him. She had long been asking what gift he was presenting to Tristan, but he never answered her, and now he was doing this? Why was he giving two percent of his company shares to Aria when he has not even given her a cent?
Aria frowned when she heard him. Has Damien lost his mind? Why was he giving her two percent of his company shares? And judging from Hailey’s reaction, she was sure that even her friend was unaware.
Tristan removed his dark glasses and opened his dull brown eyes; he chuckled and asked, "Just two percent?"
Damien frowned, not understanding his question.
Cole, who understood Tristan very well, decided to help Damien with his confusion. "The Golden Rills pack has not only earned the title of the strongest but also of the richest. We do not lack money, so therefore if Alpha Damien wishes to show his sincerity, giving a measly two percent shares is like an insult to our Luna. If I’m not mistaken, two percent of your company shares is probably worth sixteen million dollars, and let’s just say that is not even enough for our Luna to change her wardrobe."
How is that not enough for her to change her wardrobe? In fact, it is more than enough, Aria thought to herself.
Damien accepted the document and said, "In that case, a ten percent share should be enough for the Luna to change her wardrobe, right?"
Tristan smiled and replied, "Thank you for your generosity, Alpha Damien."
Hold on! If two percent shares are worth sixteen million, then how much would ten percent shares be worth? Oh my, did she just become a millionaire!
Aria leaned to her husband and asked, "Why did you do that?"
Tristan shrugged and said, "He wants to spend his money, so why not help him?"
After Damien and Hailey left Tristan’s presence, Hailey held Damien’s hand and angrily spoke to Damien, "Ten percent shares? Have you lost your mind?"
"Watch your tone! I am your Alpha."
"And I am your Luna. You have never even once offered me even one percent, but yet you are giving another woman ten percent of your company shares. Why? Is it to buy Tristan’s favor?"
"I owe you no explanation, Hailey. It is my company and my money; whether I choose to throw it away or give it all out is my business." Damien replied and was about to leave when Hailey held his hand.
"The day I became your wife, your business also became mine. Your money also belongs to me, and that goes with your company, and there is no way I am giving ten percent of our company shares to a poor wretched girl who only got lucky in life by marrying Tristan."
"I said watch it! The next time you speak about Aria this way, I will send you back to your father’s house and terminate this marriage. Nothing I have belongs to you, Hailey. You are nothing but my tool to get what I want; stop acting as if you are anything else than that." Damien said and left to go get a drink.
Hailey’s eyes became watery, and her gaze moved to Aria, who was smiling, and the seed of envy began to grow in her heart.
After the collection of gifts, the atmosphere became filled with celebration, and Aria excused herself to meet Hailey.
"I saw her here a while ago; where did she go?" Aria asked herself, searching for Hailey. Did she perhaps go somewhere quiet because of the noise? Aria thought, already leaving the hall and walking to a dimly lit hallway.
As she walked further looking for Hailey, the noise of the hall became distant, and a new noise invaded her ears. She could hear soft moans coming from behind one of the pillars, and Aria wanted to leave and give whoever was there privacy, but as she turned to leave, she heard a familiar voice: "Please, faster."
Aria frowned and stepped closer. To her surprise, she saw Hailey with her gown raised, eyes closed, while a man, who was definitely not Damien, was on his knees, his head buried between her legs.
Hailey covered her mouth, stifling a moan, then opened her eyes, only to see Aria watching. She immediately pushed Jazziel away and arranged her clothes.
Jazziel, confused on why he was pushed away, noticed another presence and turned to see Aria.
"Aria, it’s not..." Hailey tried to explain but stopped when she saw the disgust in Aria’s eyes.
Aria couldn’t even say a word, she only looked at both of them in disdain and disgust before leaving.
"Are you just going to let her go away?" Jazziel asked angrily.
"Why are you getting angry?"
"Because I didn’t want to do this. I told you it was dangerous for us to do this right here, but you... Do you have any idea what will happen if she tells Damien that his wife is sleeping with his Beta? He will kill the both of us."
"Aria is my friend; she won’t say a thing to Damien. I will talk to her and if that doesn’t work I will find a way to silence her."
Jazziel looked at Hailey and asked, "Are you out of your mind? Do you really think we can kill Aria the same way we killed that maid who had seen us? She is the Luna of the Golden Rills pack. She may be your friend, but she is no longer your equal. Both Damien and Alpha will hunt you down if you even put a scratch on her."
Hailey looked confused as she asked, "Why will Damien hunt me down?"
Jazziel looked at Hailey in confusion and realized that she didn’t know "You really didn’t know that Aria is actually Damien’s childhood friend, and currently, he has a lingering affection for her."
"What?" Aria is Damien childhood friend. Aria has told her that she only had one friend since she was a child, but they haven’t spoken for two years, so Damien is that friend.
Wow, Aria, I’m actually impressed by how you are able to get two powerful men to dance around your fingers. Now she understands the intense look Damien gave Aria on their wedding day. Did they perhaps rekindle their feelings when they were alone? And she dared to look at her with disgust.
"What are you thinking?" Jazziel asked, anxious about what will happen next. If Aria tells Damien what she has seen today, then Damien will never forgive him and won’t even hesitate to kill him.
Hailey took in a deep breath and said, "Aria won’t say anything; after all, I also know a secret of hers."
Jazziel shook his head and was about to leave when Hailey held his hand and asked, "Are you leaving?"
"Should I wait for Damien to come before I leave?" Jazziel said with a tinge of irritation in his voice, he forcefully removed his hand from Hailey’s and left.
Hailey didn’t mind Jazziel’s anger or guilt, because that has never stopped him from sleeping with her. Her affair with Jazziel is the only thing that makes her feel alive, and she will be damned if Aria ruins that for her.
