Married To The Blind Alpha -
Chapter 21: Born Blind.
Chapter 21: Born Blind.
Diamond Industries.
Apart from being a Beta in the strongest pack in the world, Cole Dawson was also known as the CEO of Diamond Industry, a billion-dollar company that deals with all kinds of accessories.
"That will be all for today." Cole said, putting an end to the one-hour meeting with his department’s managers.
Cole stood up and glanced at his secretary, who was following him. "Have the instructions for the card been given to the accountant?"
Rose, his secretary during the day and bed partner at night, nodded and said, "Yes. From now on, whether you are around to approve it or not, fifty million dollars will be transferred monthly to Ms. Aria Wilson."
"Good." Cole replied as he reached the elevator and entered along with Rose.
Rose pressed the floor to his office and glanced at her boss, who had been focused on his phone. Could it be that he was chatting with that girl?
"Is she your girlfriend?" Rose couldn’t handle her curiosity anymore. She wanted to know who this Aria was.
Cole raised his head from his phone and replied, "She isn’t my girlfriend, and she is none of your business."
Rose was already used to Cole’s cold way of speaking; she was just glad that Aria wasn’t his girlfriend.
The elevator opened, and Cole walked out as he said, "Set a meeting with Jones and Co. Jewelries and also..."
Cole’s words were left incomplete the moment he opened his office.
Rose saw a young woman, dressed in an elegant red dress, elegantly sitting on one of the couches. She was sure that in all the three years of being Cole’s assistant, she had never seen this woman before. Could this maybe be the Aria?
"You are here?" Cole asked calmly. He looked at Rose and asked her to excuse them, which she did with no questions asked.
Cole locked his door to ensure no one would barge in and asked, "What are you doing?"
The woman stood up and asked instead, "Did he get married?"
Cole sighed and said, "You know how much the Elders were pressuring him to get married, and also other packs were looking down on ours because we didn’t have a Luna."
The woman scoffed and said, "Sasha told me that the girl he married wasn’t even among the ladies selected by the Elders."
"Lia..." Cole called out her name helplessly.
"Who is this girl anyway? Is she the daughter of a powerful Alpha?" The woman named Lia asked.
Cole let out a mocking laugh and said, "The girl didn’t even have a pack until Tristan married her."
"What?"
"Listen, Lia. Even I don’t approve of the girl Tristan had married, but there is nothing to be done."
"You are his beta; how could you let him marry a nobody?"
"Lia."
"Do you really think the pack will accept that girl as their Luna?"
Cole scoffed and said, "Don’t make it so obvious."
"Don’t make what obvious?"
"I thought after what happened with Eva, you would have already learned how to tame that jealous side of yours."
Lia looked at Cole angrily and said, "I had nothing to do with what happened to Eva. She made the decision of taking her own life."
"Then swear that you didn’t push her to it!" Cole shouted. He sighed and said, "The man doesn’t love you, Lia. To Tristan, you are just a girl his aunt pleaded to take care of."
"Shut your mouth."
"I bet the only reason he ever slept with you was because you threw yourself at him."
"I said, Shut up!" Lia shouted, her fingers grew longer while her eyes became dark green.
Cole smiled and said, "You know you can’t fight me. I’m stronger and faster. I wouldn’t be his Beta, otherwise."
"Why are you trying to provoke me?"
Cole laughed coldly at her question and replied, "Because I don’t like you either, and I think you know exactly why that is."
Lia’s claws reverted back to their normal size, and her hair returned to its normal color as she softly said, "You know Tristan will never leave me. He will always choose me; he did so with Eva and will definitely do so with that girl. To Tristan, I will always be his number one priority, and even you have been a witness to that truth."
Cole chuckled and said, "Not anymore, Lia. I have seen the way he looks at Aria, and believe me when I tell you this: he will kill you if you mess with her."
Lia smirked. "Challenge accepted. Now, I am dying to see our Luna."
....
KIRHA VILLA.
Aria opened her eyes to see a naked chest in front of her, and her cheek became warm as memories of last night came flooding into her.
Last night, when he reminded her that it was their wedding night, she thought that they were going to have sex. Thankfully, they didn’t, because she wasn’t ready yet. He had only kissed her and asked her to help him take off his shirt, and together they fell asleep.
It was her first time sleeping so intimately with someone else, and to her surprise, she didn’t hate it at all. In fact, she found it so comforting that she didn’t know the time she drifted off to sleep.
Seeing that he was still asleep, Aria used her fingers to slowly trace his chest and wondered how many times a day he worked out.
As her finger slowly traced his belly, a firm hand held it, and she looked at Tristan to see that he was awake, but his eyes were still brown.
"As much as I appreciate you exploring my body, your touch is currently doing more bad than good." Tristan said amusedly.
"Huh?"
Although he couldn’t see her face, Tristan could already imagine her looking at him confusedly, so he dragged her hand to his morning dragon and laughed when she quickly removed her hand from his.
"You...." Aria didn’t even know what to say; she could still feel the burning touch of his... No, don’t think about it.
Even though she chanted in her mind not to think about it, her eyes still looked at it, and she couldn’t help but wonder how big he was.
Aria gasped at her filthy thought and slapped her cheeks gently to correct her mind. As soon as her mind was clear, Aria remembered that she had classes to attend today, but can she leave Tristan alone like this?
"Tristan." She softly called out.
"Yes," Tristan replied. He wished he could see her face, but unfortunately, today was one of those times when he had to get used to the darkness.
"Your eyes are still dark brown; does that mean you won’t be able to use Zolan eyes today?" Aria asked.
"I won’t, but I will be fine. I will call Sasha to take you back to your university, and don’t worry, this time, you won’t be unconscious."
Even with his assurance that he was going to be fine, Aria still didn’t feel good leaving him alone.
"How did your mate blind your eyes?"
"What?"
"I know that you got blind by your mate, so I’m curious about how she was able to do it, but it’s alright if you don’t want to tell me."
Tristan smiled and said, "I think you have been told the wrong information. I was born blind, Aria." He wondered why he was born blind in this lifetime and why he was given a mate in this lifetime. Why did his mother in this lifetime look at him the same way his first mother had looked at him? He could still remember how she had called him an abomination before taking away her miserable life.
