His injury had not completely healed.

At night, Ji Yunhuan looked at his injuries and said, "Qi Cheng, maybe we should postpone the wedding. I’m really worried about you like this."

He glanced at her coldly and said, "If you want to find an excuse to call off the wedding, just say so."

Ji Yunhuan took his pajamas from the side and helped him put them on.

Due to his injury, the pajamas were larger than usual and made of a softer material.

She knew Qi Cheng was being so forceful to avoid her hesitation.

He was actually doing this for her sake.

The door to Chen Chen’s room was half-open. Ji Yunhuan pushed it open and walked in, seeing Bai Liyan there.

He was chatting with Chen Chen, and they were getting along well.

Ji Yunhuan stood aside and didn’t disturb them.

Until Bai Liyan stood up, saying, "I’m leaving now. Good night."

Ji Yunhuan walked a few steps towards him and stood in front of him. "Thank you for taking care of Chen Chen. I’m really sorry."

"Nothing to apologize for. He’s my patient, and I should take care of him." At this point, he sized her up. "If you really want to thank me, treat Qi Cheng better."

Bai Liyan gave a clear smile.

He had a clean and simple smile, but he was also a man who wasn’t easy to understand.

He seemed unfathomable.

Looking at him, Ji Yunhuan nodded.

She trusted that this man wouldn’t make unreasonable demands.

Nodding, Ji Yunhuan thought of Qi Cheng. "Actually, I came to find you for something else."

Not just to thank him for Chen Chen.

"Something else?" Bai Liyan looked at her curiously, "What is it?"

"Can you..."

"Chatting?" Bai Liyan frowned, displeased with Qi Cheng’s wording. "Which eye of yours saw us chatting?"

"What are you two talking about so late at night?" Qi Cheng’s voice was indifferent.

Seeing Qi Cheng like this, Bai Liyan realized he was truly jealous. Who would have thought his obsession with this woman had reached such a degree?

Bai Liyan decided not to make it worse. "I’m leaving."

He walked through the path Qi Cheng had taken, returning to the main building.

Watching him leave, Ji Yunhuan felt a bit frustrated, regretting not speaking up sooner.

It was impossible to call him back now.

Qi Cheng was right here.

He glared at her, eyes cold. "Aren’t you going to see your brother?"

Ji Yunhuan deliberately ignored the sharpness in his eyes. "Why did you come out like this? Not even wearing a coat. Do you care about your health?"

"If I hadn’t come out soon, who knows what unclear relationship you would be having with Bai Liyan."

His deliberate provocation made him seem like a super jealous lemon.
