Chapter 22: Chapter Twenty

LEO

Never in my life did I think that I would have this much fun in my life. I can undoubtedly say that today is the best day of my whole life.

"The last is the ferris wheel." Erwin remarks as he flips through the guide book.

"Why did you put it off for so long?" I crane my neck to look over at him. "The sun has already sat."

"It’s because you will get the best view now." He closes the guide, "Let’s go." He stands up and extends a hand toward me. I stare at the extended hand for a beat before finally taking it.

"It better be worth it."

"I promise, it will." Erwin smiles at me warmly.

My cheeks heat up as I evert my gaze from him. I don’t know what is happening to me but every time I see him smile at me it makes me so restless and breathless that I can’t explain. At times it makes my heart beat so violently that it almost hurts. How can he pull this kind of reaction out of me just by a smile? It is unbelievable...

And he was right. The view from here right now is one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. It’s like hundreds of thousands of stars shining from below.

I scoot over to the window to get a better look at the dream world below me. I put a hand over the clean glass, my eyes glittering with amazement and surprise.

"Is it worth it?" Erwin asks me, who is sitting across from me, arms folded over his chest, a seductive smile forming on his face. I am sure he already knows his answer even so he is asking to hear it from my mouth.

"I-It’s beautiful..." I croak.

That maddening smile on his face widens. I can sense him boring a hole through him but I deliberately ignore him. I don’t want to miss even a second while the wheel is spinning. Its view is getting more and prettier as it is reaching its peak.

After a brief moment of silence, Erwin suddenly speaks up.

"But Leo," This time Erwin’s slow voice comes right from behind me, his warm breath fanning against my nape, "my favorite view is you."

My heart and lungs both stop working. I was too engrossed to watch the view that I didn’t even notice when he moved over here. His beautiful hands are caging me between him and the sold glass.

"E-Erwin..." I stutter.

"Shush, we are reaching the top." He shushes me.

I hold my breath and wait for the key moment. And when it comes the only word I can describe it is, ’beautiful’. It’s so beautiful that it is almost breathtaking.

"It’s beautiful, isn’t it?" Erwin whispers into my ear, his soft lips gently brushing against my sensitive earlobe.

I nod my head, my movements fidgeting. I slightly turn my face toward him to look at him only to be captured by his sinful lips.

Erwin’s tongue invades my mouth by parting my lips with just a little pressure. I grab his t-shirt, pulling him closer so that I can melt in his mouth more properly as he occupies mine with his tongue. I can’t get enough of him. The way his tongue moves against mine. The way he sucks it and wraps his tongue around it. It’s almost illegal.

I don’t know what it is that makes me submit to him every time. Every single fucking time. Is it his wonderful pheromones? Or is there something more to it? I don’t know. And I don’t wanna know either. I just know that I will submit to him every single fucking time as long as he wants me to.

Erwin one hand grabs the back of my head and tugs so that he can drive deeper inside me. He pulls away a moment later to sneak some fucking oxygen though he doesn’t remove his hand from the back of my head and I still cling to his shirt.

We stare at each other, a thin silver line of saliva connecting our mouths as electricity starts to bloom between us. But then abruptly he releases me from his fist and sits properly.

"We are almost down." He remarks, dissatisfaction clear in his voice.

"Oh." Frustration surfaces in my expression.

Erwin chuckles. "Don’t worry I will finish what I started when we get home."

I am already blushing because of the earlier occurrence, now his words get me flushing even harder.

"Sir, the time is up." The stuff says as he opens the door for us.

Erwin nods and hop off, I follow suit. The stuff member halts as he sees my slightly red cheeks and our swollen lips. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what we did up there. He nervously looks away. When other people get down from the ferris wheel their gazes are fixed at us as they whisper and giggle among themselves.

I shoot an angry look at Erwin who just keeps grinning at me like an idiot.

"Since we have done playing here, do you want to grab dinner?" Erwin offers.

"Let’s go." I nod, "I am quite hungry."

"Where are we?" I ask as I swing my head around to take in my surroundings.

The restaurant’s interior is quite spacious but the design is pretty simple. There is a bar too at the end of the hall. The weather of the restaurant is quite warm with the pitter-patter of other tables. It is clear that this is a family restaurant.

"The food is very good here." Erwin remarks, not answering my previous question. "John told me."

"Why are we here?" I tilt my head a little, "We could’ve just gone to some five-star restaurant."

"I don’t like that place." He shrugs, "That place is so lifeless and cold. So, I thought of coming here instead. Why? Do you not like it?" He asks, anxiety swarming up in his eyes.

"No, no." I shake my head in denial, "It’s just my first time at a place like this."

Before Erwin can respond to my statement a waitress shows up, "Dear sirs, may I take your orders?"

"Hmm," Erwin skims through the menu card then asks me, "anything you like, Leo?"

"Anything will do." I put down my menu card, "just a little spicy."

Erwin appears to be surprised once again, "Do you like spicy foods?"

I just shake my head, ’yes’ in reply. Erwin turns his attention toward the waitress once again and orders some spicy dishes.

"What do you like?" I ask him.

"I like nearly everything. I am not a picky eater." He hums.

"Oh." I reply, "So, are we going home after dinner?"

Please say no. I don’t want to go home just yet.

"Nope." He says simply, "We are going to watch a movie afterward." Erwin informs.

"What kind of movie?" I randomly ask.

"Cobweb," He replies, "a horror movie."

My face ashens. Oh no... Thankfully he doesn’t notice that as he helps the waitress serve our dishes.

***

Just like Erwin said, the food of that restaurant was quite good. I liked it. But the problem now is the movie we are going to watch. And the worst thing is we are sitting in the front row.

Oh this is bad...

"Hey Leo, are you okay?" Erwin asks, there is something in those gray eyes of his, maybe concern? "You don’t seem quite alright."

"W-Well I don’t do well with scary stuff, you see." I fiddle with my fingers as I fix my gaze on them.

Erwin takes my hand from me and intertwines our fingers and holds them up to show me, "You will be alright, I am here with you."

A small smile sneaks its way to my face. "We will see."

And the movie starts so do my mini heart attacks every two minutes. Various complaints swarm in my mind.

Why does it have to be so scary?! And it hasn’t even been five minutes since the movie started then why is the ghost making an appearance already?! Can’t it wait just a little?!

While I am fighting off my fear with my whole soul, the only thing that is keeping me sane is Erwin’s hand, which is squeezing mine occasionally, letting me know that he is still here, by my side. But what is pissing me off right now more than the movie is the man beside me himself. That expression of his is something that I dearly wish to smack off his face. He is fucking amused. He is not even winching. Is he not scared? Possibly not.

So, this is the reason he brought me to watch a movie like this. Because he is not scared. I should’ve known.

By the time the movie ends, I think my poor soul has turned into a small gust of wind and is about to leave my body and ascend to the haven.

"Are you okay?" Erwin asks as I get out of the theater.

"You are asking this now?" I shoot him a glare of distaste.

He snorts and starts to laugh.

"Don’t laugh!" I snap.

Since I have no will to walk to the metro, Erwin calls a cab. I fall into slumber as soon as I get into the cab. If it were any other day, I’d rather die than fall asleep like this but today is different. Today I am with someone, someone who makes me feel...safe for some reason, so I figure that it is quite alright to let your guard down now and then.
