The New Operative is a Holy Sanctuary Mage!

But more surprisingly to Ash than that was her prowess in the Magic Faction—she not only had a Holy Sanctuary Level Truth Faction but also a Golden Level Fire Technique Faction and a whopping twenty-four Silver Level Magic Factions!

She even mastered more Magic Factions than her age!

Although her Innate Talent "Fate" was a dual faction talent for truth and fate, it seemed at first glance her talent far exceeded that of the Sword Witch. However, she had only mastered the Truth Faction, and it was clear she had not dabbled in the Fate Faction. If Ash’s guess was right, she must’ve first become a Two-winged Mage through the Fire Technique Faction before entering the Truth Faction—Prophecy, Fate, Truth, these three factions couldn’t be entered through conventional means.

Thus, the talent "Fate" might not be better than "Sword Maiden" or "Witch." If the New Operative hadn’t entered the Truth Faction, the talent would amount to nothing. Like a Beastman’s Space Talent, without stepping into the Distant Realm, one is always a lower being.

However, this was just Ash’s subconscious attempt to belittle the New Operative, or rather, he was looking for reasons to convince himself that ’she is actually just as strong as the Sword Witch’—because the New Operative’s stats on paper were too outrageous!

Holy Sanctuary Level Truth Faction!

A bona fide Three-winged Mage!

Not one of those smugglers who snuck into the Distant Realm just to make up the numbers. The New Operative had been recognized by the Void Realm and had summoned a three-winged Technique Spirit on her own strength, thus opening the Gate of Truth to the Distant Realm!

Putting aside how rare the Truth Faction was, the fact that she had mastered so many Magic Factions was terrifying enough. It was worth mentioning that she had not mastered a Silver Level Space Faction, which meant she had not yet constructed her Holy Domain, and her progress in the Void Realm was about the same as Ash’s—this gave Ash a sense of conflict; he was relieved and yet regretted not being able to cling to her coattails.

She also mastered two Secret Poisons, the Vortex Secret Poison goes without saying, but this Illusion Mirror Dragon Secret Poison was obviously related to her talent, so they would have to ask around in the Void Realm.

Besides, she had a very rare Technique Spirit—Thousand Mechanism.

This was the precious Technique Spirit casually mentioned by the Sword Maiden when she was talking about the "Unparalleled Secret Swords Five Spirits." Even a One-winged would be priced the same as a Four-winged Technique Spirit, and Holy Sanctuary and even Legendary Mages had a strong desire to purchase it.

The biggest characteristic of this Technique Spirit was that it had no characteristics—it could become any Technique Spirit.

There were, of course, many restrictions. The Mage needed to understand, own, or have touched the target Technique Spirit, and the wing count of the changed Technique Spirit had to match that of the Thousand Mechanism, but this was enough to make Mages covet it.

Just as the Sword Technique Faction had the "Unparalleled Secret Swords Five Spirits," other Magic Factions also had extremely precious and powerful Technique Spirit wish lists, such as the "Ancient Scrolls Six Spirits" and the "King of Fists Eight Spirits." Under normal circumstances, if a Mage wanted to acquire these precious Technique Spirits, they had to either coerce or try their luck in the Void Realm, but the former rarely happened—unless it was very obvious, otherwise, it was difficult to recognize what Technique Spirits the Mage had, and those that could be recognized at a glance were generally common Technique Spirit effects.

Those who dared to show off their rare Technique Spirits were usually strong Two-winged or higher, their social status ensuring they wouldn’t be plundered and they had the confidence to refuse all trades. The power of the Thousand Mechanism Technique Spirit was that it didn’t require Mages to give up their precious Technique Spirits; it could itself become a replica.

"You’re not willing to sell your Technique Spirit, but there’s no problem just borrowing it for a touch, right?"

Not to mention that Legendary Mages of the Holy Sanctuary often have one or two very critical and rare Technique Spirits, whose importance could be compared to a wife. If they die in the Void Realm and lose a key Technique Spirit, it could even lead to the collapse of their Technique Spirit system, like losing the core card of a deck in a card game. Having a Thousand Mechanism Technique Spirit as a backup wife, at least allows them to survive the most dangerous periods.

Without doubt, the new operative far surpassed Ash and the others in aspects such as Magic Faction, Technique Spirits, and Talent. However, Ash wasn’t too worried about getting along with the new operative because he saw Yooran Weiser’s character illustration—wearing glasses, a trench coat, a small round hat, sitting quietly on a couch reading a book.

She didn’t seem like a 24-year-old Holy Sanctuary Mage, but rather a student absorbed in her studies, looking even more youthful than the Sword Witch.

The new operative was likely to be a scholar focused on Magic, with "Protective Color" and "Protective Color" Blessings indicating her disinterest in fighting, with "Veil Shadow" suggesting she led an unnoticed life—perhaps as a librarian or working in a research lab. In short, a homebody girl.

She should be easy to get along with, Ash thought.

The new operative was probably not proficient in combat, likely inclined towards support and reconnaissance, but their team already had plenty of damage dealers, and the new operative could complement their shortcomings. There was no denying, just "Protective Color" and its Gold Blessing were incredibly handy—directly reducing the enemy’s intelligence, making the strong flee and the weak perish. Even if it only affected them for a moment, it could decide the outcome of a battle.

Such a teammate should be acceptable to the Sword Maiden and Witch, right?

Although he felt there shouldn’t be a problem, given he had an "Advanced Trial Card", Ash casually used it on the new operative. He didn’t insist on absolute obedience from the new operative, but he hoped they could develop a bond.

Ash had a feeling he would get along very well with the new operative.

Because they both had Substitute Technique Spirits!

As long as you also like using Substitute Technique Spirits, we’re like siblings from different parents and capitalists at that!

Next up was the highlight of this draw: two artifacts!

"Moon Star Swimsuit · Sword Maiden: When using multi-faction Composite Miracles, Magic Power consumption -10% (must be gifted voluntarily and accepted by the operative)."

"Empress in the Rain · Witch: In the rain, all Water Magic Miracle effects +50% (must be gifted voluntarily and accepted by the operative)."

Huh?

Ash blinked and opened the details of these two artifacts, his pupils contracting instantly—although the resolution wasn’t very high, they were indeed corresponding new character illustrations!

The Sword Maiden was wearing a pure white swimsuit with a see-through off-shoulder cloak, looking embarrassed yet with a bright gaze as if asking, "Do I look good?"

The Witch stood in the rain in a black and white gothic dress, and though it was called a dress, it only had a back hem, under which she wore shorts and silk stockings, allowing free movement of her legs. She was drenched, her dress clinging tightly to her body, with an expression like a kitten abandoned in the rain, invoking sympathy.

In all fairness, both artifacts were excellent, and with such good-looking illustrations, wouldn’t they be even more stunning in person?

But the problem was, needed to be gifted voluntarily and accepted by the operative?

Ash initially thought he’d equip the operatives with the artifacts, and they’d switch into them the next time they entered the Void Realm. Even if they got angry, the worst that could happen was a beating before switching back, but at least he’d enjoy the view.

But approaching them with swimsuits and skirt stockings was different—the gap between the two was like the difference between getting caught by a teacher after trying to fake your way through a holiday homework assignment, and yelling that you simply wouldn’t do the holiday homework. The former was a sneaky prank, while the latter was an outright provocation.

While the Witch might be persuaded, Ash didn’t dare to even think about the Sword Maiden, fearing he might get hacked together with the swimsuit.

Damn it, so the operative’s outfits even have these kinds of conditions, which could mean he could only draw more appropriate outfits in the future?

Wait a second, did that mean the bride outfit would also need...?

While Ash was seriously considering how to handle it if he drew a bride outfit, Igula suddenly said, "Actually, we could have escaped back then."

"Hm?"

"When you realized you couldn’t beat the Four Pillars God Sect, you could have taken us out directly with the power of the Tribulation Fire Technique. That woman was strong, but as a Commander, she couldn’t abandon her post, and we had a good chance of escaping."

Ash paused and then nodded, "Yeah, you’re right. But at the time, I thought I still had a chance of winning."

Igula couldn’t understand, "After she called upon the Blessing of the Pillar Gods, their pressure alone could scatter your Meteor Fireballs. How could you still believe you had a chance?"

"What if she wasn’t proficient in close combat? What if her Four Pillars Blessing faded quickly?" Ash scratched his head, "Plus, I’ve received the Four Pillars Blessing before, but Geralt quickly punished me. I thought I could punish her too, but who would have guessed..."

Harvey interjected, "What are you really puzzled about?"

"I’m just curious about Ash’s actions at that time," Igula pondered. "He suddenly became fierce like an agitated stray dog... Unless there’s no room for avoidance in a fight, such as when we are being pursued, Ash rarely shows so much Battle Intent. The Four Pillars God Sect wasn’t targeting us, and since Ash held the Tribulation Fire Technique, he also held leverage; he could have established a standoff and gained more at the negotiation table. Yet he recklessly chose a fight to the death..."

Harvey remarked, "What’s so strange about that? He just gained great power and got a bee in his bonnet thinking he was unstoppable."

"Right, right," Ash nodded in agreement. "Always hanging out with you guys, isn’t it normal for me to occasionally lose my mind?"

Since the person in question put it that way, Igula had nothing more to say, though he remained cautious in his heart.

A major reason Igula had given up on the plan to collaborate with the Four Pillars God Sect was that upon analyzing the daytime battle, he realized he was increasingly unable to see through the woman who had defeated Ash.

Moreover, Igula thought he could detect a familiar scent on her.

It was the scent of a kindred spirit.
