Chapter 318: Chapter 272: I Am Disabled Because I Cannot Make an Elf Pregnant Chapter 318: Chapter 272: I Am Disabled Because I Cannot Make an Elf Pregnant After about ten minutes, Ash was almost done with his treatment, and the floating car had stopped.

But Hanna didn’t open the car door. She took out a remote control and pressed it, causing a drone to rise from the back of the car. It appeared to be a special model, silently floating up to the height of about ten stories.

“The Beastman Mage we were talking about lives here,” Hanna explained. “His plan for tonight was to study from 8 PM until 4 AM, then enter the Void Realm in the education pod, spend three hours there, and leave for work at 7 AM.”

Ash commented, “That sounds like a very fulfilling life.”

“His wife thinks so too,” Hanna said as she pressed the remote again, and a Light Screen projection appeared in the air. “This is the footage from the drone… I don’t mind much, but you won’t be able to see the screen while lying on my lap.”

“Ah, has the treatment finished?” Ash suddenly realized as he sat up. “I thought…”

Before Ash could make sense of his thought, he was captivated by the scene displayed on the screen.

The drone footage showed a heart-stopping battle–a Beastman brutally beating a naked, blond-haired man while a female Elf in pajamas, her hands tied, hid fearfully to the side.

No further explanation was needed; Ash instantly understood that the combatants were the Pure Love Orc Warrior and a blond-haired Minotaur.

“Can Beastmen and Elves reproduce? I thought different species were not able to breed?”

The first thing Ash noticed was this– he remembered how, in the Kingdom of Blood Moon, strict reproductive separation among species was enforced. Thus, humans, ogres, goblins, and Beastmen, which had strong reproductive capabilities, were rampant, while Elves and Meiwa, who had poorer reproductive capabilities, were quite rare.

“The breakdown of reproductive barriers was solved hundreds of years ago,” Hanna said. “Long ago, people believed that babies with the bloodlines of all species could inherit the talents of all races, and for the rewards of the Weaving Festival, so past Mages constantly researched the Miracle to break these reproductive barriers.”

“But the results were not as ideal–newborns could only be dominated by the dominant bloodline of one species; other species’ bloodlines were recessive and silent.”

“Nowadays, all newborns are vaccinated and given adjustment shots. After over a decade of genetic adjustments, adults will break free from reproductive barriers. There may still be some families who adhere to tradition and refuse adjustment shots, but in a broad societal consensus, having reproductive barriers is almost akin to having a disability.”

With that, Hanna glanced at Ash.

Ash blinked–Am I considered disabled because I can’t impregnate an Elf!?

“Moreover, the race bloodline priority has a lot of randomness, like this Beastman Elf couple. Their child might be a Beastman or an Elf, so over the years, the population ratios of originally minority species like Elves and Sea Demons are almost catching up with humans and Beastmen. This couple has an Elf daughter ,but she’s staying with her grandparents tonight, not here.”

Hanna looked at the Light Screen. “Inter-species marriages like this Beastman Elf couple are not uncommon, or rather, marriages within the same species have been much rarer in recent years.”

At this moment, Ash truly realized how massive the differences were between the Gospel and the Blood Moon–these two realms differed not only in their level of technology but even in their cultural systems, which presented an insurmountable divide.

Biological Adjustment was not just about breaking reproductive barriers; it was the cornerstone for a great convergence of races, similar to how the “Bloodline Prohibition Act” in the Kingdom of Blood Moon led to a society full of orphans, Biological Adjustment could serve as a foundation for racial amalgamation.

The Blood Moon’s “Bloodline Prohibition Act” and the Gospel’s “Biological Adjustment” represented almost completely opposing social reforms.

The former not only maintained racial distinctions but even escalated them to individual distinctions, making each individual isolated, unable to form any stable relationships; the latter completely broke down racial barriers, merging all cultures together, erasing any trace of racial contempt–after all, if someone’s human mother was a Sea Demon, could he really proclaim ‘Humans are more noble than Sea Demons?’

At this time, the blond-haired man seemed to say something, and the Beastman Mage hesitated momentarily but didn’t let him go, instead, he tied the blond man up with a rope.

“What did he say?”

“He claimed he was someone from the Kelmo family, which basically means he’s of significant importance,” Hanna explained. “He can pay in points and money as compensation.”

“How did you know?” Ash dug at his ear. “There’s no sound in the footage.”

“I can read lips.”

“Wait, isn’t the blond man facing away from us? How could you read his lips?”

“You just need to add a little imagination.”

“So you’re just making it up…”

At that moment, not knowing what the blond man had said, the Beastman Mage got enraged and kicked him so hard that the blond was thrown against a wall, coughing up a lot of blood, then rushed up for another round of beating.

Ash was initially quite amused watching it, but the smile slowly faded from his lips, and he suddenly asked, “Did you know this would happen from the start?”

“Yes,” Hanna said. “The reason I had you chase away the Beastman Mage was that he needed to come home and see the footage of his Elf wife cheating.”

“You just said that these days, the partners in a marriage are the most suitable matched. Why would there still be this kind of betrayal?”

“It all depends on how you define ‘most suitable.'”
