Chapter 310 The End?

Chapter 310: Chapter 310 The End?

We don’t get very long to relax, as the feeling of an army arriving in our Realm forces its way into our consciences, followed by the arrival of Karl near the equator of the magical planet.

[I’ll take care of this world. You all can deal with that one.] Karl’s voice Echoes through the mate bond and I pass the message to the others.

In a world with no Cultivation type Energy, he has a massive advantage over any attacker he might face, so we prepare to deal with the attackers here.

"I’ll fight. You two keep the planet stable. If you can’t, banish us all, and I’ll finish the fight in whatever Plane whatever we end up on."

The first of the enemy cultivators laughs at my assessment. "Less than an hour after your Tribulation and the power has already gone to your head. You won’t stabilize your Divine Power for months yet, much less advance fully into the Divine Realm."

"We will never allow you to enter the Divine Realm. The Four Horsemen will never be a pantheon." The old man beside him declares with absolute certainty.

They don’t know yet that it’s already too late for that. We’re already a Pantheon, and they’re standing on our turf.

In front of me stands an assembled army of Immortals. I can see that they have gathered Cultivators from at least six different species and an unknown number of worlds, and they’re all here for one singular purpose, to stop my closest friends and me from stabilizing our Realm in the Mortal Plane.

"Are you certain you want to remain here and make us angry, old man? Can you afford to pay the price for defying me on my own world?" I ask in a light tone, hoping he gets the point that this is OUR world.

He’s about to respond when a Titan Oracle in the distance begins to scream. "Stop, it’s all wrong; the prophecy was changed, you stupid humans. This isn’t what’s supposed to happen. Without Balance and the Black Lord here, there is nothing for us but eternal death and rebirth."

"Then we will change it again. ATTACK." The human leader calls.

My Energy Dragons rush out as I charge into the attackers. My energy attacks are being enhanced by True Divinity and the knowledge I’ve gained on bending reality to my will; everything they touch vaporizes.

Even the souls and Divine bodies of the cultivators they touch are shredded and pulled into the Underworld Realm in tatters that may never heal.

The world’s residents flee the destruction while Song and Lala do their best to hold the world itself together. As the cultivators die, an immense amount of stored every is released, soaking into the world and purifying it, bringing it closer to being a Mixed Realm Cultivation world.

The army that came to challenge our Pantheon is trapped here, we control the natural laws, and I will not allow them to flee.

They never stood a chance facing this level of overwhelming force, they can neither block nor counter the attacks, only dodge or die. When the battle is over, fewer than a hundred out of the thousands that came to face us still live, prostrating themselves on the ground in front of me.

Their pledges of Devotion and pleas for Mercy ring though our Divine Souls and Song binds them with their words, forbidding them from ever betraying us.

On the other planet, Karl was less merciful. A quarter of the Northern continent is barren, scorched bare, and cratered to form a steep mountain range around a flattened volcanic Caldera. The amount of mana in the area is incredible, but the planet itself seems otherwise undamaged.

Lelou returns not long after the battle, looking pristine and drenched in Divine Power, with Hui’Jin only a few minutes behind her.

With everyone present, the Realm finally stabilizes, and our authority as a Pantheon becomes unquestioned. At least here.

"What comes next? I mean, I never expected to make it this far, so what do we do now?" Lala asks.

"The next stage takes millennia while the worlds we made grow and mature. So I suggest we do what other Divinities do. Merge our bodies with the Realm and use Divine Avatars to keep a watch over our creation." Elder Song, The Librarian and our God of Wisdom suggests.

That makes everyone at least a little bit happy. We’ve been working hard to get everything ready for this transition, and now it’s finally time to relax.

The Dragon Relic tucked away in my Shrine has two more final gifts for us, though. The first is a method to hide and seal a Mortal Realm. Nothing gets out; nothing gets in. Perfect for us to grow in safety while the reinforcements for the armies we had just destroyed search for us.

The second is a functional feature of our Divinity, allowing it to bestow gifts and blessings upon our loyal followers. That is the one we use to establish our priesthood. It’s amazing what a few healing spells can do for a planet’s faith, but we can also grant more significant blessings.

The world of Dragons and monsters needs very little attention, regulating itself for the most part. But the mixed species magical world is far more interesting, full of politics, intrigue, tension, and war. Within a generation after the battle, we have to intervene to stop their antics from turning genocidal, so we start planning a new system for managing things there. It will take time, but we’re confident it’s possible.

The biggest shock is when we look in on Earth to see how everyone is doing. The two Realms are way out of sync in their time lines. Currently, Constantine is Emperor of Rome, and neither Karl nor I will be born there for another thousand and some more years.

It is a bit like watching a historical drama. We know roughly how things will end, but we’ve never seen all these details before.

As Song suggested, myself plus Karl, Song, and Lala merge our actual bodies with the Magic Planet, while Lelou and Hui’Jin choose the Dragon Planet for theirs. The exact location doesn’t matter much; we can sense everything that happens in this realm and create avatars to move among the people, causing trouble and playing pranks—or doing diety things like saving interesting people and keeping things working correctly.

As time passes, we get comfortable with our routine, and the populations of both worlds grows and stabilizes. Our duties and roles are ingrained in our very nature now, completed without conscious thought while we cultivate and spend our time experiencing and testing every new concept that comes to us.

Elder Song has so much fun with it that the people of the Magic Planet even give him a new name. No longer is he the Librarian or the God of Wisdom.

He is The Laughing God.
