Mage And Wolf
Chapter 305

Chapter 305: Chapter 305

Now that we’ve heard from all the Oracles, the Representatives start to argue about how much validity each of the warnings about our Pantheon should hold. Of course, none of them agree, so I move over to sit by the others while they argue, stroking Lala’s fluffy bunny ears.

Everything seems to be going well, and they’ve almost reached a conclusion when the most gut wrenching feeling comes over me. Someone has opened a portal under my seat and is trying to throw me through the planes again. Only this time Lala is mostly in my lap, with Elder Song on one side and Lelou on the other.

They all grab tightly to me and each other, with Hui’Jin climbing on top. The last thing I hear before the transition is complete is the roar of a dragon and the sound of claws tearing cloth as we’re pulled out of reality.

Just as we leave the Divine Plane and enter the limbo between Realms I feel a tug at my consciousness and the five of us are pulled into some sort of isolated space.

The amount of energy here is incredible, and it seems to be in some raw form I’ve never experienced before. It’s somewhat similar to Divine Energy, only not. There’s no hint of life or will to it like Divine Energy has. Could this be pure Cosmic Energy? We seem to be floating in a cloud that isn’t water vapor, an unsettling feeling for certain, but our surroundings are just too fantastic for me to care.

On closer inspection, it appears we’re in a nebula, just loose elements everywhere and immense amounts of energy for as far as the senses coin comprehend. As far as I can tell, we’re in space, but the nature of the Creation Sphere is a mystery, so this could all be an illusion, one giant learning program beyond Immortal comprehension.

Then I see Karl, floating our way at a tremendous rate of speed. He seems comfortable here, as if he’s been here a while, so this must be the Creation Sphere. By my guess, it’s a type of hidden Realm. Fully stocked but unformed.

"Welcome, the Divine Transfer the you through reality at exactly the time. I’ve finished the construction and calibration of a Dyson Sphere for cultivation, you’re just in time to test it out." Moving here requires only a thought, and after a few attempts, we’re all following along behind him effortlessly.

The Dyson Sphere he created is a latticework of impossible complexity encircling a star. It’s mostly just a bare structure, covered in runes and inscriptions, but it radiates an amazing level of energy, hundreds of times stronger than the ambient in this already intense realm.

"Sit and cultivate a while. The Mortals should become Immortal in a few days, and the rest of us will quicky build our Divine Body. Song can just do whatever it is that Divinities do when nobody is worshiping them."

The old man chuckles at that and begins to inspect the structure. "We learn new things of course, comprehend natural laws. It’s not until you’ve fully comprehended one that you can advance out of the Immortal Realm, and it’s not until you’ve mastered and transcended it that you can be called a true God."

"Once I arrived here, I formed that star to help focus my cultivation. Time is irrelevant here, so I began building the Sphere. Now that it absorbs most of the energy of an entire star, this is a much better place for cultivation. I tried to focus it all on one spot, but the effect was too intense and became unusable." Karl explains.

That’s interesting, so we can build things here? Or more correctly, we’re expected to build things here. An entire Galaxy if I’m not mistaken about the amount of matter and energy present.

Hui’Jin was already most of the way through Core Formation before we arrived, and I can feel her Core rapidly solidifying and gaining density as I watch. Multiple days might be a conservative estimate of when she will reach immortality.

Even my own Divine Body is becoming corporeal at a noticeable rate. But the best thing I can do now is cultivate and stabilize myself so things don’t get out of control.

Karl already has the lucky beanbag chair out, but he’s talking with Elder Song, so I climb on it alone and focus on my cultivation. The beanbag chair makes everything better, plus it smells good, like Karl.

The essence of the afterlife that I focus on cultivating and that of raw creation in this place complement each other, and I begin to understand how they’re part of one another, with Souls never meant to leave the Realm they are in, as every gain or loss is upsetting the eternal balance of a Realm as it cycles them through from life to death and back again, changing with every cycle.

I have no idea how long I was in that trance, but when I opened my eyes Hui’Jin had obtained Immortality. My Divine Body was coming along very well, and should be getting close to strong enough to challenge the Divine Tribulation, but I’m still very lacking in the knowledge of the fundamental laws of the universe.

Karl is likely much further along, seeing what he’s built, and Lelou is assembling materials to build a planet. That’s actually an excellent idea. I’ll make a solar system from these materials and use them to comprehend the laws that govern them. Of course, that’s going to be easier said than done.

For a moment I wonder how many times that’s been done before. How many aspiring Divinities have attempted to gain enlightenment here? How many succeeded, and how many are now part of the Cosmic Energy that has suffused every breath we’ve taken since we arrived.

The easy part comes first. A collection of light gasses, condensed and heated will make a star. Here, energy control seems to have no maximum range, but my ability is unchanged. So it’s a long process to say the least, but I’m learning a lot about the way the elements interact with each other and the various forms of energy I’ve tried using so far.

By the time I’ve finished, Lelou has a very pretty rock built. It’s a planet for sure, and should have five Continents, three around the equator and two surrounding the poles. But as a Fire Element Dragon, water control is not her strong suit.

That’s what her and Karl are working on, so I move my newly formed light blue star in their direction, finding as I struggle that space has a flow to it. Raw energy does very little against a star, but if you just bend the nature of the space around it, things move nearly effortlessly.

That bit of enlightenment requires contemplation, so I return to the chair to mediate, losing track of time once again.
