Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband -
Chapter 98
Chapter 98: Chapter 98
"Leaving so soon? I thought we could spend more time somewhere," Lucien said as he approached Winter and Sebastian. He ignored Sebastian completely and tried to talk with Winter instead.
Winter glanced at Sebastian who had a sour face.
It was natural for Sebastian to feel upset over the whole thing. Lucien beat him in getting a necklace that he wanted to give to his wife. If Winter allowed Lucien to step all over Sebastian’s pride like this, it would only end badly for all of them.
Thus, she smiled at Lucien and said, "Thank you for the offer, Lucien. But I’m not used to this kind of event. I get tired easily. So, I prefer going home to rest right now."
Winter hugged Sebastian’s arm, which made the latter jolt. Sebastian quickly straightened his posture once he realized that Winter was hogging his arm like a Koala, a sign that she wanted this man to know who the real married couple was in this situation.
"You heard what she said, Mr. LeBlanc. I suggest you not to bother my tired wife outside of any formal event or work-related activities. Now, please excuse us," Sebastian said as he dragged Winter away from the venue.
Lucien’s smile slowly disappeared as he stared at Sebastian and Winter who briskly walked out of the venue. He stood in silence and sighed as he felt defeated.
"Why do you need to chase a woman whom you can’t touch, Mr. LeBlanc?"
Lucien turned his head, and saw Patricia smiling at him, "Sorry for being pesky, but isn’t it better to just let her go and move on? I’m sure there are a lot of women who want to marry you if you plan to settle down."
"I’m a hopeless romantic, Miss," Lucien replied, but his eyes were still on Winter’s back. "I fell in love with her. I want her. And just her."
Patricia sighed.
She didn’t expect a hotelier magnate like Lucien LeBlanc could have such a naive mind when it came to love.
She had nothing against Lucien, she just found it utterly foolish and offensive to fall in love with a married woman and still insisted on flirting with her while her husband was next to her.
On top of that, Lucien was bullying Sebastian because he knew that the young man didn’t come from a wealthy family like Patricia, by making Sebastian know that he was nothing when facing a real rich man.
Lucien even went as far as buying a necklace that Winter wanted just to embarrass him.
Patricia was around Sebastian’s age, so she knew how much of an achievement it was for him to have ten million dollars in his bank account without a trust fund.
’I’m glad that Winter doesn’t seem to care much about Lucien’s flirting,’ Patricia thought. ’Besides, her new husband will do good in the future. I can tell just by looking at the ambition in his eyes.’
"Are you going to keep chasing her? I don’t think that’s a good idea, Mr. LeBlanc," Patricia advised. "Winter is not the type to cheat."
Lucien clenched his fist but said nothing as he stared longingly at Winter’s back.

Sebastian and Winter stood in front of the hotel, waiting for Arthur. Sebastian had been standing straight the whole time, like a king about to be coronated.
He was so nervous because Winter kept on hugging his arm as if they were truly harmonious newlywed. He understood if she did it so Lucien wouldn’t try to hit on her anymore.
But now that Lucien was nowhere to be seen, Winter was still hugging his arm. It confused him because his heart began to beat wildly and he began to imagine a good life with Winter, something that he didn’t dare to do before, because Winter would repeatedly shoot him down.
"Why are you so tense, Sebastian?" Winter asked. "Still angry at what happened before?"
Honestly, rather than angry, he was just disappointed in himself. It was a wake-up call for him to do more if he wanted to spoil Winter.
Sebastian looked at Winter who smiled at him, and he began to wonder if he should mention how she hugged his arm lovingly.
’If I say it, will she stop hugging my arm? Ah, but I want her to keep hugging me like this,’ Sebastian thought as he stayed silent. In the end, he just shook his head and said, "It’s nothing. I was just tense because I’m thinking about work again."
"Work?"
"Yes, I mean, I don’t want to disappoint you again..." Sebastian muttered. "That necklace..."
Winter sighed, "Stop beating yourself over something you can’t help. You are young, Sebastian. I trust that you will be much richer than him in the future, just work hard and you’ll beat that guy in the end."
Winter wasn’t just trying to comfort him. She was speaking facts, based on what happened in their previous lives.
"Well, since you trust me that much, then I will prove my capability," Sebastian said. He didn’t know what changed. He felt that Winter should’ve hated him after what happened during the auction.
Yet, she seemed to have a newfound trust in him.
’I don’t understand. Shouldn’t she hate me for being poor?’ Sebastian thought.
His mother, Camilla, always told him that a man’s worth was in his wallet. If he was poor as shit, then he didn’t deserve to find happiness, and no woman would love him, even his mother.
Sebastian thought that his already fragile relationship with Winter would crumble right after she realized he lost an auction for a ruby necklace that she wanted.
’I really don’t understand...’
The Rolls Royce that Winter owned finally drove right in front of them after a while. Arthur got out of the car and opened the car door for them.
"My apologies for being late, Madam. There are a lot of cars from other guests who also come out at the same time, so there was a small traffic at the basement parking lot," Arthur said, but he still ignored Sebastian.
