Madam Wants To Divorce Her Second Husband -
Chapter 38
Chapter 38: Chapter 38
Sebastian tried to chase Winter, but the moment she slammed the door, he knew the best thing he could do was leave her alone.
Cindy glanced at the door quickly before returning her gaze to Sebastian. She gave a meek smile and said, "You don’t need to worry about her, Mr. Saenz. I think Winter is just a little jealous. I am sure she’ll know I’m no threat at all."
Sebastian sighed.
He returned to his desk, ignoring Cindy, whose eyes were glued to him the whole time.
He sat down and absentmindedly turned to look at Cindy, who blushed and lowered her head in embarrassment. "P—Please don’t stare at me like that, Sebastian—um, I mean, Mr. Saenz. Is it okay for me to call you Sebastian in private? Since we are in-laws and all."
"Keep your professional attitude. Call me Mr. Saenz in the office," Sebastian clarified. "You can call me Sebastian if my wife allows you to do that."
"I’m sure my sister would prefer me to call you Sebastian," Cindy insisted. "But it’s okay if you’re not comfortable with it. I’m just trying to be more familiar with my brother-in-law, that’s all."
Sebastian didn’t respond. He stared at Cindy, his mind filled with complicated thoughts.
He knew Cindy Hazard.
In fact, he knew her very well because she had been his secretary for one and a half years after Camilla fired Iris.
Cindy was a talented young woman, capable of handling many difficult tasks as a secretary, accompanying Sebastian wherever he went for a meeting and checking on the construction of the real estate the company was developing.
Sebastian also knew that Cindy was in love with him. She had made it obvious with many hints and advances.
But Sebastian never reciprocated because he was too busy working and was still a traditional man about marriage.
He believed he was bound for life to his wife due to their sacred vow, even if he didn’t love Winter—or so he thought.
But everything changed when Camilla noticed Cindy’s infatuation.
For some reason, Camilla started trying to match them together. No matter how much Sebastian tried to show his dislike for this nonsensical matchmaking, Camilla persisted in it.
Of course, Cindy gladly took part and continued trying to seduce him in the office.
Everything finally went down when Sebastian had just finished a hotel meeting, and he drank a lot with his business partners.
Cindy accompanied him as his secretary and once he was too drunk, she helped him back to his hotel room.
That was the last thing he remembered before passing out. He didn’t know what happened after that. When he woke up, he found himself in his bed with Cindy sleeping next to him.
They were both naked, and it didn’t take long for him to realize that he screwed up real bad.

’Why the fuck are you in my bed?!’ Sebastian yelled at Cindy.
She woke up, rubbed her eyes, and smiled sweetly. ’What do you mean, Sebastian? You’re the one who seduced me last night. You said I’m better than your wife.’
’I NEVER SAID THAT! I WAS PISS OUT DRUNK!’ Sebastian shouted desperately. He was certain that he hadn’t done anything with Cindy that night, but without any real evidence, he also couldn’t deny her claim, especially when he woke up naked with her.
He got up, put on his suit and trousers, and said, ’This never happened between us. Never!’
Cindy looked hurt and began to sob. ’You were my first time, Sebastian.’
’And I don’t give a damn! I didn’t feel anything last night. I was fucking passed out!’ Sebastian insisted.
’You raped me, Cindy!’
’Oh come on, man cannot be raped,’ Cindy retorted, rolling her eyes. ’I know you liked it. That’s why you were hard as a rock last night!’
’You–You’re disgusting... you’re a monster! What the hell is wrong with you?!"
Cindy ignored all of Sebastian’s accusations and said, ’I want you to be responsible for our baby, Sebastian!’
’What baby?’ Sebastian asked in disbelief and confusion.
’You fucked me last night without a condom! Of course, I’ll get pregnant soon!’ Cindy claimed. She sounded so certain, and it scared Sebastian.
’I don’t consent to what happened last night! That child is not mine!’ Sebastian yelled. ’This will be the last time we ever meet, Cindy.’’
’But your mother told me that we would be together! Why should I leave when I only want to be your wife!’
’I ALREADY HAVE A WIFE!’ Sebastian shouted at the top of his lungs. ’I will never divorce her, so get the hell out of my life!’

After that incident, Sebastian arranged for Cindy to leave the USA and live somewhere where she couldn’t disturb him anymore, hoping Winter would never find out about this.
He might have been an asshole, often following his mother’s idea to stage ’affairs’ with various women just to push Winter away from any hope of reconciliation.
But he only did it all because his resolve to ignore Winter was weakening, and his mother didn’t want him to fall into what she saw as Winter’s ’trap’ to make him subservient.
He never really cheated on Winter because he believed in the sacred vow between a husband and wife.
So he was devastated when he found out that his mother had secretly recorded Cindy helping him into his hotel room and sent the picture to Winter.
And that picture was the final push that led Winter to the edge of the balcony, where she jumped to her death.
Sebastian clenched his fists, frustrated by his situation. Even if he never actually cheated, he had still participated in staging those fake affair photos to keep Winter from crawling into his heart.
’I am the idiot who did idiotic things. I shouldn’t blame anyone else, whether it’s Cindy or my mom,’ Sebastian told himself. ’I shouldn’t have followed my mom’s cruel idea to mentally torture my wife in the first place.’
