Chapter 120: A Family Breakfast

Andrew recommended some good companies for her work application. She felt glad and lucky that he fully supported her in her decision.

Out of hundreds of companies on Andrew’s list, he didn’t choose even one of them. Instead she researched and found ten businesses. All were just small companies that just started their business.

She didn’t really mind to start working in a not-so-popular firm because she believed she could help in a start-up company rather than the big ones.

"Are you sure? They just started like three, four years and offer a small salary. I don’t think you should work for one of them." Andrew frowned.

"Yes. They are perfect. Remember, I want to start as a normal employee. I have no work experience and all I have is this two-page resume." She said.

Andrew was at the table reading the morning paper while Brie was sitting on the left side eating pancakes. She smiled seeing her husband and daughter together on the dining table.

She always dreamed of it. Preparing meals for them and eating together as a family.

She put a cup of coffee in front of Andrew, and then gave another pancake to Brie.

"Mommy, your pancake is tasty." Brie smiled.

She giggled. "Oh, thank you, my love. What do you want for dinner?"

Brie’s face lit up. "I want fried chicken."

"Then fried chicken it is. How about you, my husband?" She asked, smiling sweetly at Andrew.

Andrew frowned. "Do you need anything?"

She laughed and slapped Andrew on his shoulder.

"About the wedding, do you already have a date in mind?" She asked.

Andrew took a sip of coffee and looked at his wife.

"Well, we can get married anytime. If you want we can get married today." He said.

She stared at Andrew to see if he was joking, but he looked so serious about it.

"Really? So, you don’t mind if I choose a date for the wedding?"

Andrew shook his head. "It’s our wedding. And I want you to remember that day, so do whatever you want. You can ask Alora and the others for help, and if you need me to help with the preparation, just tell me."

She nodded. "Can I consult a feng sui expert?"

Andrew frowned. "Why?"

She pouted. "Because the last time we got married, it didn’t work well. So, I want to consult an expert."

Andrew laughed a little. "The date doesn’t matter. Our relationship will last long if we work together as husband and wife. But if you like to consult someone, that’s fine with me."

"Really? Thank you, love!" She exclaimed, jumping into his arms.

"So, what else?"Andrew asked.

She giggled. She was already being spoiled by her husband.

"Mom, don’t look at Daddy like some food." Brie said while chewing the pancake.

"Young lady, how many times do I have to remind you to not talk when your mouth is full." She scolded her.

Andrew laughed. "I think she got it from you."

She frowned. "What? No! When was that?"

"I remembered when I visited your ramen shop. You were eating when I arrived and you immediately shouted at me while you have some noodles in your mouth." Andrew laughed.

Brie’s eyes widened in excitement. "Really? Is mom really like me?"

Andrew nodded.

"No! Definitely not!" She denied it, but also started laughing remembering the time she almost pushed Andrew out of their shop.

The three of them were chatting and laughing when they heard a vehicle honking.

"That’s the Wilson twins. Be nice to Lucas and Alira, okay?" She said.

Brie nodded and kissed her and Andrew. They looked at their daughter when she stepped inside the black Rolls-Royce car.

"She’ll be fine, right?" Andrew asked.

She nodded. "Of course. Brie is an independent girl."

Andrew sighed. "I’m still worried. It’s her first day in Golden Oak. I should be the one to bring her there."

"But she clearly declined your offer to bring her in school. She said she’s fine because Lucas will be there." Nina teased.

"That’s the more reason I should go with her. How could she trust that brat instead of her own father?"

Then she burst out laughing. "I’m sorry. But if you’re that worried, why don’t you go to Golden Oak and check on her?"

Andrew glared at her. "It’s not funny."

She chuckled. ’You’re adorable. But I’m serious. If you’re worried, visit her in Golden Oak."

"How about you? You’re not coming?" Andrew asked.

She shook her head. "Nope. Brie will get mad at me. But if it’s you, I don’t think she’ll get mad. I have to prepare everything for tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? Prepare for what?"

"There’s a job fair tomorrow in Northbay City Mall so I will go and try my luck." She smiled.

Andrew frowned. "You’re joking, right? There’s a lot of people in a job fair. What if something happened to you?"

"But I really want to go there." She whispered.

Andrew stared at her and then took a deep breath.

"Fine. But you’ll bring a bodyguard. You have no choice. I won’t allow you to go alone."

Her face lit up. "Really? Yes! It’s fine! I really want to go. The companies I chose would be there so I want to check them out."

"Okay. But I’m warning you, don’t run away from your bodyguards or I will really get mad at you." Andrew said.

She knew what he meant by those words. Andrew was reminding her about what happened in Paris. She ran away from her bodyguards and met with Paolo Santelmo.

She bit her lip and nodded. Andrew noticed she became quiet so he pulled her from her seat so she could sit on his lap.

"I didn’t mean to remind you of that day. I’m worried that something might happen. What if someone’s following us again? Remember at the proposal someone took a photo of us." He explained.

She nodded. "I know. And I promise, I won’t run this time. I don’t want you to worry about me."

Andrew wrapped his arms around her and leaned on her chest.

"I want to have desert." He murmured while brushing his fingers between her thighs.
