Chapter 110: 7010 Gacha Pulls

"So," Xavier asked, opening up his stash, "where do I use all this crap I just got?"

Oliver leaned in and skimmed through Xavier’s new collection. "Beginner’s Reward and Initiate’s Blessing? You can pretty much ignore those now. You’ve got money, so just buy better stuff."

"What about the Epic Item Voucher?"

"That one’s useful," Oliver nodded. "You can pick any epic-tier item with it, but I’d say wait. Once your class gets assigned, you’ll want something that fits your skill tree."

Xavier nodded.

"Starter Mount Token can be traded at most major shops," Oliver continued. "You’ll only get a few hundred coins for it, or you can exchange it for a common mount or gear. Honestly, not worth much."

"Alright, and the housing voucher?"

"That one’s nice. You can buy property in-game. The voucher knocks off around fifty percent on base price. Pretty sick if you’re into player homes or bases."

"Noted."

"And this," Oliver tapped the glowing Class Catalyst, "is gold. Don’t use it now. Early class upgrades are easy. Later on, once you hit advanced branches? That’s when this thing’s a godsend."

"Got it." Xavier scrolled down. "That just leaves... this."

[Gacha Pull Tickets: 7010]

Oliver whistled. "Holy crap. Bro." Oliver deadass just stared at him for five whole seconds. "That’s not normal. Most people get like, ten a week. Maybe twenty during events. I’ve never seen four digits on someone’s gacha stash."

Xavier shrugged. "Anniversary event bonuses, top-up rewards, and those 1-ticket-per-100-bucks deals."

"Well then," Oliver said, rubbing his hands, "we’re going to the event plaza. That’s where the gacha banners are. Follow me."

They walked through the plaza, past the glowing signs and bustling players, the whole area buzzing like some digital fairground. Giant screens floated in the air showing ranked players, limited-time events, and dramatic teaser clips of upcoming updates.

Xavier spotted some guild recruiters yelling over each other in front of a bulletin board while cosplaying their game avatars like idiots. A guy with a flaming mohawk challenged anyone who looked his way to a duel.

Oliver led the way without a pause, hands behind his back like a seasoned player giving a tour.

They turned into the main street, the noise of market chatter, clanging weapons, laughter, and clashing armor echoing from all sides. Banners hung between buildings, reading 10th Anniversary - Relic Gacha Festival with animated fireworks exploding across them.

"Let’s go blow some luck," Xavier muttered, smirking.

And they walked into the heart of the celebration.

They reached a huge black-and-gold dome glowing with runes and fireworks. Music thumped, and players ran around screaming over drops or crying in the corner over trash pulls. Giant floating banners hovered in the air, spinning gold text for all to see.

[ANNIVERSARY RELIC GACHA – RATES: Guaranteed Epic in every 10 pulls, Guaranteed Legendary in 100 pulls, Chance of Mythic every 100 pulls. Rate boost active! Mythic Drop Chance: 0.5%]

The inside was way fancier than Xavier expected. Ornate carpets, giant golden statues of legendary characters, and glowing loot chests suspended in midair. In the middle was a round platform like a summoning circle, and standing by it was a tall blue-haired NPC in a suit who looked like he belonged to a casino for gods.

Oliver waved his hand toward it. "This is where the magic happens."

Xavier stepped up to the panel, eyes glancing across the options. There were three types of pulls:

[Single Pull – 1 Ticket]

[Ten Pull – 10 Tickets]

[Hundred Pull – 100 Tickets]

Each had a note under it flashing:

[Mythic Drop Rate x2 – Limited Time Only]

He looked over at Oliver. "Let’s make some noise."

Xavier and Oliver stood near a massive crystal pillar glowing in all colors. It was the main gacha shrine—some NPCs stood nearby acting like priests, blessing pulls like it was a sacred ritual.

Xavier brought up his ticket count.

[Tickets: 7010]

He looked at Oliver. "You ready?"

Oliver grinned. "I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment."

Xavier tapped the [Pull x100] button.

A sharp chime echoed. The ground beneath him pulsed once—faint, but deep—and then the whole gacha chamber lit up.

Cards flew into the air.

Lights slashed across the dome like blade beams.

A giant 3D hologram of the Relic Wheel rose up from the center, spinning violently. Sparks of blue, violet, crimson, and gold burst like fireworks, raining down pixelated stardust.

The NPC priests started chanting.

"Blessings of the Rift! Reveal the Chosen One’s fate!"

The wheel slowed.

[Rare... Rare... Epic... Epic... Legendary... Legendary...]

[MYTHIC!!]

BOOM.

A golden bolt of lightning slammed the platform. The floor cracked—visually, of course—and a card hovered mid-air, glowing like a small sun. It rotated slowly, displaying its name.

[Mythic Acquired: Astral Breaker – Sword of the Rift]

People around the plaza lost it. Some screamed. One guy fell to his knees. Another girl rage-quit and vanished into pixels.

Xavier tilted his head. "Looks nice."

Oliver was gripping the rail like he was on a rollercoaster. "Bro—BRO—you just pulled Astral Breaker on your first roll?! That’s supposed to be one in a million!"

Xavier didn’t reply. He just shrugged and hit [Pull x100] again.

The relic wheel spun faster this time, as if feeding off his energy. More cards shot up—some exploded into light, others vaporized midair. The chanting NPCs raised their arms higher. The ceiling dimmed and then lit up with falling fragments of comets.

[Epic! Legendary! Legendary! Legendary!]

[MYTHIC!!]

Another flash. This time, wings burst out from the sky. Literal wings. Feathers of light rained down.

[Mythic Acquired: Harbinger Wings – Flight Gear]

Oliver eventually had to sit down on a bench. "Bro, you’ve pulled more in ten minutes than most players do in ten months."

Xavier smirked. "Nice."

He wasn’t done.

He hit Pull x100 again. Again. And again.

Each time, the plaza reacted like a damn earthquake. Light shows, holograms, relic banners flashing above his head. At some point, a massive golden dragon circled the dome before shattering into stardust, revealing a relic drop.

[Mythic Acquired: Leviathan’s Embrace – Waterborne Relic]

[Mythic Acquired: Crown of the Sun Eater]

[Mythic Acquired: Riftwalker’s Emblem – Passive Class Relic]

Oliver was dead silent now, arms crossed, just watching. His eyes couldn’t even keep up with the loot anymore.

It took over half an hour. Xavier burned through all 7010 tickets like it was chump change.

By the end of it?

His inventory looked like the treasure vault of a forgotten god. Dozens of mythics. Most legendaries in the game. Stacks of epic duplicates he didn’t even glance at.

Rare relics. Epic sets. Mythic-class gear. Limited-time cosmetics. Mounts. Skins. Even a few relics labeled [???] with red borders and warnings saying "Requires Class Awakening."

Oliver peeked at his screen and whistled. "You just skipped like... half the game."

Xavier smirked. "I didn’t come here to grind. I came to win."

The gacha wheel slowed. Lights faded. The NPC priests dropped to one knee. A final chime rang through the event plaza.

[World Notification]

Player "Xavier" has broken the Anniversary Gacha Record!

Most Mythic Relics acquired in a single session.

A new legend begins...

Every player on the server got the alert.

The plaza erupted into murmurs and whispers.

"Xavier...?"

"Wait, the Xavier?"

"Who the hell is this guy?!"

Oliver finally sighed. "You just broke the game, bro."

Xavier opened his inventory and casually scrolled through the mythics like he was checking groceries.

"Guess I did."

Meanwhile, Ethan and Lucas were having fun with their friends on a private beach of the game, when they got a notification about Xavier.

Ethan turned to Lucas with a curious look on his face and asked, "Heh! What are the chances that it’s that village rat?"

"Zero!" Lucas scoffed. "There is no way that dumb fuck even knows how VR works, let alone have money to even afford it."
