Chapter 387: Chapter 372 Chatman’s Snake

Secret Phoenix Airport, a flight bound for the capital of Devil State was about to take off, and the airport staff were checking tickets.

“Next!”

A female staff member, completely ignoring the details on the ticket that were different from the man in front of her, politely let him pass and then reached out her hand with a smile to the next passenger.

Locke, as a burly Big Man, had no fierce demeanor at this time. Instead, he blushed, following Tang Qi with utterly absurdity in his eyes.

What was this?

What happened to the idol-like Big Shot? The persona was completely shattered.

The principal of the Merada Special Education School, using his own Extraordinary Power, forcibly took a couple’s tickets. Although he erased their memories and kindly booked a room for them, leaving some compensation, was this behavior really okay?

And why was it me who had to play the woman?

Locke looked at his own body, finding it quite unreasonable.

However, he recalled many unreasonable signs that appeared after his interactions with Tang Qi and wisely chose to keep his mouth shut.

Locke also admitted that upon being introduced to the new principal by Professor Eva, he immediately harbored suspicions upon first sight.

That was quite normal, as Tang Qi’s appearance was indeed deceiving.

Since Tang Qi arrived in this world, those powerful monsters and Transcendents he killed had similar thoughts — a seemingly weak high school student posed no threat at all.

But soon, Locke felt the horror.

The two hadn’t clashed, but no matter what, everything was decided by Tang Qi, and Locke couldn’t even muster the slightest thought of opposition, whether it was robbing plane tickets or playing a woman.

After finding the couple’s seats and sitting down, Locke intended to discuss with Tang Qi about how to rescue the children and destroy the Lutson family’s plans.

However, as soon as he saw Tang Qi sit down and begin to seriously read a book pulled from a suitcase that looked like it would be placed in a luxury store, he had to swallow back his words.

“Professor Eva said the new principal is a genius polymath, who alone has killed two demigod-level strong beings, acknowledged as the factual leader by the Witch Group. Is he really that strong?”

Although he could faintly sense Tang Qi’s terror, he couldn’t help but harbor some doubts.

Tang Qi’s records were indeed terrifying.

“Polymath? I wonder who’s more learned between him and Mr. Raymond?”

While Locke was twisting his body to fit his burly figure into the small seat, he couldn’t help but compare whom among the genius of his organization, the Blue Lion Society, and Tang Qi knew more.

Although he learned of Tang Qi’s power from Professor Eva after a brief interaction.

Out of emotion, he still considered Mr. Raymond to be more learned, more wise.

Tang Qi didn’t pay attention to the musings of the muscular man beside him; he was engrossed in the book in his hands.

Complete Collection of Mysterious Symbols!

This was the book Tang Qi was now reading, unauthored, only marked with the Merada Witch Group’s logo.

Clearly, this was a book continuously collected and refined by the Witch Group over centuries.

Such books were not rare in the Library Tower.

To some extent, this was also a representation of the Witch Group’s depth.

Official or the Bright Church, as well as other organizations with long histories that had not ceased, all had similar books.

Wild Transcendents or some small, newly established Extraordinary Organizations, were unlikely to obtain such books, so they greatly lacked some Extraordinary Knowledge.

On the Mysterious Side, the monopoly on knowledge was even more severe.

“Rustle”

Tang Qi flipped through the pages at a rapid pace, his gaze flickering as he scanned one mysterious symbol after another.

During this process, with a tremor, the plane took off.

Destination, Devil State.

Out of the numerous states of the Divine Eagle Federation, not all were expansive, some territories were just sufficient.

Devil State was one of them.

Although it was a small state, the educational atmosphere there was excellent, the natural landscapes were well-preserved, and with a pleasant climate, it was a favored retirement place for many wealthy retirees.

This mishap, the kidnapping of three students by the Lutson family and the killing of a Blue Lion Society member, happened at the border between Devil State and Ma Li State.

There, was a city that perfectly blended commerce and tourism, Weia Castle.

“The Lutson family and our Blue Lion Society are both currently in Weia Castle. It seems we need to first head to the capital and then rush there; I wonder if we can make it in time?”

“However, it seems there’s no faster plan available.”

Finally feeling a bit more comfortable, Locke glanced at the ticket information, then said quietly.

At that moment, Tang Qi’s page-turning hands suddenly paused.

Before him, a page appeared, on it a symbol, very familiar.

It was the dark, twisted Blood Maze that Locke had previously depicted with Magic Power, featuring a strange snake at the center spitting out a “Famine Monster,” which was laughing eerily.

The gaze fell upon information recorded by a Merada Witch from the Dark Age, which immediately presented itself to the viewer.

“In a dark Exotic Realm, there exists a type of Monster dwelling in a Mysterious space, known as Chatman’s Snake. They have an affinity for mazes, blood, famine, and fear, and when they descend upon Blue Star, their sign is the amalgamation of these elements.”

“Chatman’s Snake was active for a long tenure during the Dark Age. Their Believers often possessed the terrifying power of Enchant, spreading the force of Fear, and following contamination, lascivious phenomena inevitably emerged. Devotees who offered sacrifices of fear to Chatman’s Snake had chances to receive a grant of power.”

“Typical deeds during the Dark Age involved a fanatic of this Monster constructing a real-life Blood Maze. Tens of thousands were thrown into it to brutally slaughter each other, and after the plague, starvation, and killing intertwined, extreme Fear was produced; this enabled the fanatic to receive a Legendary conferment and suddenly rose as a super strong individua.”

“…”

“Sigh”

It was merely a single page, yet Tang Qi took more than a dozen minutes to finish reading it.

The complex information fully enlightened Tang Qi about the true nature of the “Lutson family.”

Clearly, they were a group of fanatics as well, worshipping and serving “Chatman’s Snake.” Unless unexpected, their aim might be to replicate the actions of their Dark Age predecessors; reconstructing a massive Blood Maze seemed unlikely.

However, reducing the scale slightly and enhancing the quality of the source of fear was a feasible opportunity.

For instance, their targets for capture, from ordinary humans, shifted to Transcendent humans.

Such fear generated, even if not as grand as their Dark Age predecessors, would not be much lesser.

Once successful, within the Lutson family, likely a “Legendary Level” or close to Legendary Level strong individual would emerge.

“Such ambition suggests there must be at least one Professional Level Expert in the family.”

Tang Qi slowly closed the “Complete Collection of Mysterious Symbols,” and stuffed it back into the belly of Gluttony.

Then he turned his head and glanced at Locke who was about to sleep, lightly stating: “Introduce the Lutson family.”

Locke had been waiting for this question from Tang Qi, although startled for a moment, he quickly processed and relayed the information in his mind.

“The Lutson family, they are a bunch of madmen, but their leader, the soul figure and founder of the family, Charlie Lutson, is a shameless, lascivious pervert. Initially just a deformed child born to a prostitute, he learned to commit crimes from a young age, theft, robbery, fraud… His childhood was entirely spent in various confinement establishments.”

“If not for that mysterious accident, he’d be just a normal societal scum, but due to some unknown incident, not only did he recover his limbs, he also obtained extraordinary Enchanting Power unimaginable. He quickly established the Lutson family, expanding the members to nearly a thousand in a very short time.”

“This family came to public knowledge when they conducted a death Trial to eliminate some disloyal members. The members collectively ingested poison, with loyal ones surviving and dissenters dying, but the truth was, the survivors had drunk the antidote in advance. Those who died were the believers who still retained some autonomy.”

“The second major case was when they barged into a villa district, held all the wealthy people hostage, extorted huge sums of money, and then brutally murdered one of the celebrities who paid the least, along with his family. This incident finally put them on the Church and official wanted lists.”

“But because of Charlie Lutson’s bizarre power, unless the Church sent real strong people for a large-scale siege, it was impossible to annihilate them entirely.”

“Our Blue Lion Society has always been aware of their existence, but due to the significant disparity in power, although we wanted to exterminate them, we’ve never taken action. Unexpectedly, they took the initiative to strike, killing our members.”

“Boom Boom~”

By the end, Tang Qi seemed to hear Locke’s heart pounding fiercely, his tone filled with surging anger.

At that moment, Tang Qi seemed to remember something, seriously looking at Locke.

“Extraordinary Creatures: Nearly Professional Level Demon Hunter, unable to find a way to promotion due to being an incomplete faction…”

A picture formed in Tang Qi’s mind without much deviation from expectations.

Among the plethora of Extraordinary Professions, those in the Combat Class were the easiest to rise to “Professional Level.”

However, even among Demon Hunters, possessing faction heritage and those with wild or incomplete inheritances had a vast difference.

Locke and Jason!

Both appeared to be in the same Realm.

But if they were to engage in combat, the results would likely be astonishing.

Even without Jason using his “Tilos Magic Bag,” his combat power could overwhelm Locke.

Once the Magic Bag was used, even Tang Qi would need to be cautious.

Second Generation of Demon Monster, truly terrifying.

“About time!”

“Ah?”

Just after listening to Locke’s narration, Tang Qi suddenly stated this after estimating the time.

While Locke expressed his confusion, he saw Tang Qi quietly cast a spell, which made all the cabin attendants and travelers completely ignore them.

Tang Qi’s hand suddenly landed on his shoulder.

“Whew~”

An unstoppable Magic Power surged over, and Locke watched as his body turned into mist. When he opened his eyes next, he was suddenly in the high sky.

Just as he was about to scream out, his mouth was stuffed with the cold fierce wind.

“Weia Castle, we’ve arrived!”

“Ah!”

As Locke plummeted toward the ground, Tang Qi’s words finally echoed in his ear.
