Lord of Mysterious Wizard -
Chapter 358: 348 Clown
Chapter 358: Chapter 348 Clown
The Molten Furnace Eye currently harnesses two powers: Judgement and Red.
Neither belong to the standard witchcraft of a Melter Wizard.
However, their might is enough for Tang Qi to temporarily set aside the idea of exchanging merit for witchcraft.
Tang Qi plans to use each advancement in his Meditation Method to enhance both Judgement and Red.
If possible, he will try to elevate these two Skill to their limits. He has an odd, inexplicable thought that perhaps, with continuous improvement, they could undergo some sort of sublime metamorphosis, enough to compensate for Tang Qi’s slight deficiency in offensive methods.
At the same time, this could prevent other Transcendents and Extraordinary Forces from guessing Tang Qi’s identity as a “Melter Wizard.”
Since books like “Molten Furnace Faith”, “Melter Wizard’s Complete Record of Death”, and “How did the Melting Furnace go out?” are stored in the Library Tower, it means that to the powerful Extraordinary Forces, the existence of a Melter Wizard is not a big secret.
Choosing not to exchange for matching witchcraft could prolong the time before being discovered.
After all, Transcendents who can hurt Evil Gods with flames are quite common on the Mysterious Side, possibly second only to Holy Light type Transcendents.
“Boom!”
“The Molten Furnace Eye is evolving!”
“The effectiveness of Judgement is enhanced!”
…
After undergoing the enhancement process four times, Tang Qi woke from his meditation.
His gaze turned towards himself.
The Skill section on the screen showed what used to be “Judgement Second Rank” had now astonishingly become “Judgement Third Rank”.
The power, as expected, had increased significantly.
A regular Professional Transcendent would probably not withstand even one look from Tang Qi.
“Sigh”
He exhaled and then glanced at the progress of his Melter Meditation.
Unknowingly, he had completed over half.
A somewhat mad but long-brewing idea became even more certain at this moment.
To hit the Professional Level!
This thought was unwaveringly firm.
Despite the array of Skill like that of the Melter Wizard, Ralph Witchcraft, Chaga Fighting Technique, and his so-called cheating “Special Ability”, Tang Qi’s combat power was more than enough to crush most Professional Level Experts. However, strictly speaking, he was not yet at the Professional Level.
But the accumulation for such a breakthrough had long been sufficient.
In Winston Town, he had successively slain the Immortal Earl and the First Generation Melada, but unfortunately, the former was sacrificed by him, and the latter was collectively cursed to death by the Witches.
Through the Sacrifice Method, Tang Qi could obtain merit from the projection of the Master of the Crucible. Merit could be exchanged for Extraordinary Power or mysterious Knowledge that is impossible to find in the real world.
During the Dark Age, the Melter Wizards were so desperate that they sacrificed Evil Gods heedlessly, all for “merit.”
However, sacrifice could only yield merit.
If a Melter Wizard wanted to advance their meditation, besides arduous meditation, the most effective method was to add fuel to the crucible, meaning to Devour… souls.
The First Generation Melada would have been excellent fuel. Nevertheless, those killed by the Profanity Blood Curse were doomed to have their souls scattered.
Fortunately, there was still “Diana’s Corpse” as a significant gain; otherwise, Tang Qi would have been very upset.
To have killed a Demigod and yet not be at the Professional Level.
Is that normal?
In the Dark Age or even the more ancient Ignorant Ages, this was uncommon but not unheard of.
Most genius Transcendents in history who had made a name for themselves had slain Demigods or even entire true, real Gods.
In the Mysterious Side, Level can be very stringent at times, yet at others quite vague.
Knowing a weakness, even a mere Human could Slay God.
And Tang Qi’s greatest strength was his Insight into weaknesses.
Of course, this does not mean Tang Qi would purposely suppress himself to catch tigers by pretending to be a pig. In fact, without matching witchcraft and without burning souls like a traditional Melter Wizard, Tang Qi’s progress was already rather quick.
Now with sufficient mental accumulation, Tang Qi naturally would not deliberately delay.
After the enhancement of Judgement completed, taking less than half an hour, and once he familiarized himself with the new effects, it was still broad daylight outside.
However, he did not plan to stop there.
A single “Resentful Demon” was not enough to satisfy Tang Qi at this moment.
Moreover, even during the day, some vicious Resentful Souls or monsters may still appear.
If Tang Qi were willing to let the “Curse Mark” go, even at noon under the fierce sun, some horrific monsters might appear, coveting that power related to Destiny.
However, this could be done in Messer City.
In Secret Phoenix City, even for Tang Qi, hunting in this way would still be reckless.
Since there’s a “Black Mountain Beech Wood Plate”, there’s no need to take risks.
“The Melter needs fuel.”
Murmuring this, Tang Qi once again opened a Void Gate.
Beyond the gate was his chosen hunting ground.
As Tang Qi saw the desolate, gloomy scene, a corresponding piece of information also emerged in his mind.
“Three thousand kilometers west of Green Dragon Ridge Lake, Gael Village, an abandoned Amusement Park where more than ten murderous Clowns reside. As per local newspaper stories, they were subject to the wrath of angry parents due to a child’s disappearance incident, resulting in all Clowns working in the Amusement Park being beaten to death that night. Eventually, they all transformed into vengeful Clowns, killing any human that approaches the park.”
“As the Spiritual Tide becomes ever stronger, without special intervention, a clown entity as powerful as a human Professional Level Expert will be born there.”
“Clown?”
“Huh”
With just a light statement, Tang Qi steps through the portal.
…
Gael Village, at the forsaken extent of the abandoned highway, Tang Qi appears out of thin air clutching a briefcase. Before him lies a desolate amusement park, encircled by the forest, paths covered with fallen leaves and various animal dung, where the mark of time is exceptionally evident.
Once vibrant and bright colors have become mottled and dim, with motionless Ferris wheels, broken roller coasters, and merry-go-rounds missing half of their horses in view… Compared to the haunted Oak House, this place delivers an even greater impact of horror.
Even in the broad daylight.
Tang Qi stands at the entrance, peering through the rusted iron gates, his gaze sweeps inside, and immediately, wisps of ghost light begin to surge, one after another, special images start to form.
Just as he thought to step inside, suddenly a noise arises from behind.
Tang Qi doesn’t turn around but already has insight into the movements behind him.
Seven children, four boys and three girls, all appear to be of elementary school age, laughing as they run over from the other end of the highway. Looking at their faces, both tense and eager, along with that sense of inquisitiveness, it’s clear without a doubt that this is a group of naughty children on an “adventure in the Horror Amusement Park.”
They quickly notice Tang Qi, and also the moment Tang Qi casually flicks his finger, the tightly locked iron gates suddenly swing open.
“Wow, is he a magician?”
Amidst their exclamations, the children gather around.
On their faces, there is little to no color of fear, but instead, a keen interest in Tang Qi.
Questions like “Are you here looking for inspiration?” “How much do you earn in a month?” “Is magic deceiving people?”… are thrown at him, as if completely oblivious to the helpless expression on Tang Qi’s face.
Tang Qi is certain about children.
Like Little Lioness Nina, or eccentric lolitas like the Hannahs, they belong to the category of endearing.
But the ones in front of him, do not.
Perhaps it’s because these children are a bit older than the Hannahs and a little younger than Shay, at a stage where they fear no one and their curiosity is excessively vibrant.
Because Tang Qi is dressed formally and with a briefcase in hand, they mistook him for a magician.
“Shh!”
Suddenly, Tang Qi raises a finger to his lips signaling for the seven naughty children to quiet down for a moment.
Then he says mysteriously, “Don’t speak, I’ll show you a magic trick.”
As soon as these words are spoken, the children are simultaneously stunned, with various expressions, the one thing in common is incredulity shining in their wide-open eyes.
They discover that they can’t move.
The Body Control Spell!
After fixing the seven kids with a gaze, Tang Qi, maintaining an air of mystery, steps into the amusement park, which had started to blow a chill wind at some unknown time.
Almost the moment Tang Qi sets foot inside, the amusement park that should have been abandoned for many years,
Suddenly, comes to life.
“Ding-a-ling”
“Clack~Clack”
“Whish Whish Whish”
At the same time, the equipment that looked like it needed to return to the factory for repairs comes back to life.
The flickering neon lights, the upbeat music, and the once again operating attractions light up the eyes of the seven naughty children with a flash of surprise.
If they could speak, they should now be exclaiming about Tang Qi’s “magic” as they joyfully rush into the amusement park.
Unfortunately, their surprise only lasted for less than three seconds.
Because at the next moment, amidst the cheerful background music, suddenly mixes in a spine-chilling wail—an anguished wail from a clown.
The source of the first wail is at the merry-go-round, where with a passing gust of wind, a tall and thin clown holding balloons appears; his already grotesque face now full of fear as he tries to flee until a hand wrapped in light flames reaches out for him.
The second comes from the center of the amusement park path, looking like a clown who hands out toys, its over-sized head smashed with a punch.
The third is startlingly at the top of the Ferris wheel, a burst of light flames erupts, the clown in charge of operating the machine screams as he vanishes, and the Ferris Wheel grinds to a halt.
…
Outside the iron gates, in the eyes of the seven naughty children, one could no longer see excitement, anticipation or inquisitiveness, only fear, and nothing else.
The Body Control Spell prevents them from fleeing, and also spares them from wetting their pants.
After an unknown amount of time, the kids see the figure of the “Great Demon King” again.
His clothes haven’t changed, still neat and nice-looking, and his face still bears a trust-inducing smile, but to the seven children undergoing a “mysterious event,” that is an unknowable, unpredictable devilish grin.
“Remember to go home early!”
The Great Demon King, Tang Qi, utters this phrase before casting an Illusion Spell.
Memory alteration!
After executing the practiced skill, Tang Qi vanishes on the spot.
And after a collective shiver, the seven naughty kids, snapping back to reality, feel as though nothing happened other than a shared moment of distraction.
Until one of the plump kids points at the iron gate and mutters, “How did it open on its own? Last time we came, it was locked tight. If we’d known, we wouldn’t have brought the wrench.”
“Huh”
With the chubby’s comment, an inexplicable sense of weirdness seems to trigger something in everyone’s mind.
A nameless fear sweeps over them, and a singular thought emerges in their hearts: “Maybe we should… go home early!”
