Before she could finish, his cold palm covered her mouth. He stared at her and said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "Xiao Ling’er, shut up."

"I don’t want to hear that. I love you, and you belong to me. So be good, and don’t provoke me. I don’t want to hurt you."

Detecting the suppressed anger in his voice, Yan Yuling nodded obediently. This man was a madman, she couldn’t afford to provoke him. Her first priority is to protect her children and buy time so her husband can find her.

Tears welled in her eyes as she whispered, "Why are you doing this to me?"

"Why?" Jian Yuan laughed bitterly.

Leaning closer, he gritted his teeth and said, "Because you promised me! You swore you would stay with me forever. Yet you married that bastard and had his child!"

Startled by his sudden rage, Yan Yuling stammered, "I—"

"I don’t care if you forgot your promise," Jian Yuan interrupted. "You made the promise, so you will keep it. If you go against me, don’t blame me for what happens to your baby."

He leaned in, brushing his lips against hers, and whispered with a hint of madness in his voice, "If you keep rejecting me, I might take you by force. If that costs you your baby, you can’t blame me."

Yan Yuling’s body trembled with fear at his words, and she forced herself to mutter, "I understand."

Satisfied with her answer, Jian Yuan buried his face in her shoulder. He took a deep breath and whispered, "Good. Now finish your meal and get some rest. We leave tonight."

"O-okay."

Before he left, Jian Yuan gripped Yan Yuling’s chin and kissed her deeply. Although she clenched her teeth and refused to let him in, Jian Yuan didn’t get angry at all. He bit and licked her lips as if savoring a delicacy.

When he was finally satisfied, he kissed her eyes and licked away her tears while saying, "Be good, don’t cry. I will give you everything, even my life. So, just stay with me, choose me, okay?"

Yan Yuling lowered her gaze and said nothing.

Seeing her like this, Jian Yuan patted her head gently and smiled. No matter how long it would take, he would make her fall for him again, just as she once had. She had liked him before, so she would like him again.

After he left the room, Yan Yuling heard the door was locked. As soon as she no longer heard footsteps, she lost her strength and burst into tears.

She wiped her lips with the back of her hand until they were swollen, yet she still couldn’t rid herself of the disgusting feeling from the kiss Jian Yuan had forced on her.

Hugging her knees, she lowered her head and cried, "Husband, where are you? I’m scared."

After crying for a while, she took out the necklace from her bathrobe pocket and saw the red diamond had shattered. Holding the necklace tightly, she sobbed silently.

After Jian Yuan left the master bedroom, he went to his study to check the CCTV. He wanted to see what she was doing.

As he typed on the laptop, he noticed something and frowned. He checked the system for a moment and saw the connection between his laptop and a phone.

He tried to track the phone’s location but noticed he couldn’t break the firewall. In an instant, he knew the other party was Joker, or more accurately, Feng Zhexuan.

Feeling angry, he slammed the table and shouted, "Bastard!"

Despite his anger, his mind remained calm, and he quickly created a decoy. When he was done, he activated the self-destruct program. He went to open the safety box, took out his passport, and gathered the documents he had prepared for Yan Yuling.

Afterward, he walked to the master bedroom and said to his subordinates, "Prepare the helicopter."

The man nodded at his words and went to inform the bodyguards and captain. When he entered the master bedroom, he saw Yan Yuling eating. Suppressing his irritation, he said, "Change your clothes. We are leaving now."

Yan Yuling was taken aback but nodded and went to change. For now, she could only follow his orders and act according to the situation.

Before she entered the bathroom, Jian Yuan blocked her path and snatched the necklace from her hand. He looked at the pendant and said, "This pendant is broken. I will buy a new one for you. Just throw this one away."

As soon as he finished speaking, he turned away and began packing clothes for her.

Seeing that it was impossible to get her necklace back, Yan Yuling swallowed her words and went to the bathroom.

Forty minutes later, both of them were waiting for the captain on the rooftop when Yan Yuling saw several helicopters flying toward them. As they got closer, she finally saw the Feng Group’s logo on the helicopter, and her eyes lit up instantly.

Seeing her smile, Jian Yuan sneered and said, "Xiao Ling’er, do you think he can save you? You are still as naive as before."
