Radiating roguishness, boldness, and unrestrained confidence, his royal blue, custom-made suit, and neatly styled hair highlighted the contrast between his flirtatious gaze and the cold aura of a businessman.

In the lobby, a young man awaited their arrival. Spotting Jian Yuan, he stepped forward and extended a hand, "Welcome, CEO Gu. President Feng has been expecting you in the meeting room. Please, follow me."

Jian Yuan shook his hand briefly, offering a polite smile, and said, "Lead the way."

In the meeting room, Feng Zhexuan was on the phone with his wife as he waited for the guests.

"Wife, how are you feeling? Are you still dizzy or nauseous?" he asked gently.

"It’s much better now. Aunt Chen bought some sour plums for me," Yan Yuling replied cheerfully.

Smiling at her response, Feng Zhexuan said, "Good. Make sure to drink plenty of water. I read that pregnant women should drink at least two more glasses than usual."

"Mn, I know. I will take care of myself and our baby. Don’t worry about us."

As the door opened, Feng Zhexuan glanced up and said, "Wife, I have to go. Take a nap, and call me when you wake up."

Understanding his schedule, Yan Yuling agreed readily, "Alright. Go ahead with your work. Love you, Husband~"

Her voice carried clearly in the silent meeting room. Before he hung up the call, Feng Zhexuan looked at Jian Yuan and said, "Mhmm, love you too, Wife."

Facing Jian Yuan, he extended his hand in greeting, "Long time no see, CEO Gu."

Jian Yuan smiled faintly, the expression failing to reach his eyes, as he shook hands with him and said, "It seems President Feng and Yuling are as loving as ever."

With a calm smile, Feng Zhexuan replied, "It’s all thanks to CEO Gu’s blessing."

The subtle provocation in his tone almost made Jian Yuan lose his composure. But he reminded himself that he was Gu Jianci now and couldn’t afford to act out of character. Until he had complete control over the Gu couple’s assets, he couldn’t reveal that Gu Jianci no longer existed.

Letting go of Feng Zhexuan’s hand, Jian Yuan replied smoothly, "President Feng is joking. While Yuling is my dearest friend and we have known each other for a long time, I doubt my blessing has any weight on your relationship with her."

Feng Zhexuan chuckled when he heard his words and replied, "It doesn’t matter if CEO Gu thinks so. As long as my wife does, that is enough."

Their teams exchanged puzzled glances. Judging by their words, the two men seemed like acquaintances, perhaps even friends. But the tense atmosphere between them suggested otherwise. They might even be enemies with a deep grudge.

Ignoring the others’ curiosity, Feng Zhexuan gestured for them to sit and said, "CEO Gu, please have a seat. My wife is waiting for me at home, so let’s aim to wrap this up quickly."

Despite his simmering anger, Jian Yuan maintained his composure, taking a seat opposite Feng Zhexuan.

As the legal teams quietly reviewed and discussed the contract, nearly an hour passed. Eventually, the Feiyu Corporation’s legal team nodded to Jian Yuan, signaling that nothing was amiss with the contract’s clauses.

Jian Yuan looked at Feng Zhexuan and said, "President Feng, if there are no issues with the contract, we can proceed with the signing."

This project had been in negotiation for almost six months before they were finally at the signing stage. Initially, the Feiyu Corporation’s former CEO had led the project, but his dismissal had delayed the signing process until now.

Though this project was beneficial to the Feng Group, it was just another annual venture—not critical. However, for Feiyu Corporation, it was a major stepping stone into Huaxia’s market, where they lacked a solid foundation. Therefore, the terms stated in the contract favored the Feng Group.

Everyone assumed Feng Zhexuan would sign the contract without hesitation. After all, both companies have invested a lot of time, resources, and dedication into this project. However, even after his legal team confirmed the validity of the contract, he made no move to sign.

Jian Yuan’s polite smile vanished, replaced by a cold gaze when he asked, "President Feng, are you changing your mind?"

"You should know that we signed a pre-contract agreement. Canceling without valid reason incurs a penalty of 10% of the project’s total budget."

Tapping his fingers rhythmically on the desk, Feng Zhexuan smiled faintly as he said, "CEO Gu, if I’m not mistaken, this project is one of Feiyu Corporation’s key strategies to enter Huaxia’s market. Am I right?"

Jian Yuan met his gaze, his tone flat, "Every project is equally important to Feiyu Corporation."

Feng Zhexuan chuckled at his vague answer and pressed, "I also heard that securing this project is a condition for your father to transfer the company to you."

This time, Jian Yuan said nothing and his expression was unreadable. But his gaze turned cold when he heard those words.

Leaning back, Feng Zhexuan continued nonchalantly, "Given its importance, shouldn’t Feiyu Corporation show more sincerity?"

Jian Yuan’s eyes narrowed and asked, "What kind of sincerity are you referring to, President Feng?"

Smiling at his calm pretense, Feng Zhexuan replied, "Feng Group would like 8% of Feiyu Corporation’s shares instead of 32% of this project’s revenue."

As soon as he finished his words, Feiyu’s project manager instantly objected, "It’s impossible! President Feng, your demand is too much!"

Unperturbed by the rejection, Feng Zhexuan waited patiently while observing Jian Yuan closely. He was certain now that the man before him was not Gu Jianci. Though their appearances were identical, the eyes were different. Those eyes looking at him now were a hunter’s eyes, filled with cold calculation and killing intent.

At this moment, not only did Feiyu Corporation’s team disagree with Feng Zhexuan’s request, but even Feng Group’s team felt their president was making a financially unsound decision.
