Little Wife's Diary: My Husband is My Boss! -
Chapter 235: Lost Control
Chapter 235: Lost Control
Ten minutes later, Feng Zhexuan and Yan Yuling were back in the president’s office.
After closing the office’s door, Feng Zhexuan noticed that his wife was still dazed. Seeing her expression, he found her so endearing that he couldn’t help but lean down and kiss her delicate lips.
Feeling the warm, soft touch of his lips, Yan Yuling snapped back to reality. After a while, she was gasping for breath when he finally released her.
Looking into his deep eyes, she said, "Husband, you seem so happy."
Feng Zhexuan chuckled at her words. Pulling her closer, he whispered in her ear, "I am. From now on, everyone knows I am yours, and you are mine. We will be together until our last breath."
Yan Yuling’s heart felt like it was drenched in honey. She felt joy and relief when everything was done. She had feared that announcing their marriage would come with pressure and change in their relationship. But she was wrong.
At this moment, nothing had changed between them. If anything, she felt even prouder that this incredible man was her husband. Now, she could stay with him openly and no longer had to endure jealousy when she heard or saw someone claiming to be her husband’s girlfriend.
While they revealed their marriage, halfway across the world in Canada, the Gu family’s servants trembled with fear. The sound of objects shattering echoed from the young master’s room.
Outside the closed door, Madam Gu looked at the servants and asked, "What’s going on with Jianci?"
"Madam, we are not sure. We were asleep when we heard things breaking. At first, we thought it was a thief, but when we came out, we noticed it was coming from the young master’s room.
"Fearing that something happened to the young master, we knocked on the door. But, the young master yelled at us, and we didn’t dare go in," one of the servants explained with a trembling voice.
Ever since the young master returned from Huaxia, he had been different. He is still kind and gentle, yet with a cold edge that hinted at danger.
The way he sometimes looked at them, as if a poisonous snake was coiled around their bodies, left them feeling as if one wrong word or glance could end their lives.
Madam Gu, seeing their anxiety, dismissed them, "You may all return to your rooms."
"Yes, Madam," the servants said in unison, hastily retreating.
Madam Gu frowned as she heard glass shattering again, followed by her son’s angry shout, "Feng Zhexuan, you bastard! How dare you?! She is mine!"
Eventually, the noise stopped, and Madam Gu knocked on the door while calling, "Jianci, open the door."
Inside the room, Jian Yuan’s bloodied knuckles were clenched tightly as he trembled with fury. He glanced at the door with blazing eyes, and said coldly, "Leave me alone."
Madam Gu frowned at the response but continued, "Jianci, what’s wrong? Open the door and let Mom in."
Taking a deep breath to control his rage, Jian Yuan replied, "Mom, I’m fine. Just let me be."
Madam Gu sighed in relief at the familiar gentle tone. She hesitated for a moment before saying, "Jianci, since she has married another man, it’s time to let go. I will find a good woman for you, so don’t be like this, okay?"
"Mom, let’s talk later. I want to be alone right now."
Knowing that her son was not in a good mood, Madam Gu relented, "Alright, alright. We will talk after you calm down."
Inside the room, Jian Yuan listened to her footsteps fade away. He clenched his fist as he muttered, "I can’t waste time anymore."
He went to get his phone and dialed a number. Not long after, a hoarse voice answered, "Hello."
"Is the matter done?" Jian Yuan asked.
"It’s nearly complete."
"How much longer?" Jian Yuan demanded.
"This process takes time. If rushed, the patient’s risks of memory loss or nerve damage are very high," the voice cautioned.
"I don’t care about the potential harm he might face. What I want is the result. Finish it within a month, or else—" Jian Yuan’s voice dripped with menace.
"Young Master Gu, a month is impossible. I need at least six," the other party pleaded.
Jian Yuan’s sneer coldly, "It seems you don’t value your family’s safety as much as you said."
The voice on the other end panicked after he heard his words, "Please don’t hurt my family. I will complete it in a month."
"Good. Remember, I mean what I say," Jian Yuan threatened.
"Yes, I understand. I will do as you say but please spare my family," James Wright begged.
"As long as you finish this matter, I will let your family go."
Jian Yuan hung up, as soon as he finished his words. He narrowed his eyes and said, "Gu family, you will pay for what you did to me."
Back in Huaxia, Jin Rongsan sat across from a middle-aged man. Despite the white strands in his hair, the man’s appearance was vigorous and sharp. If not for the deep frown between his brows, one would never guess he was in his forties.
The man’s resemblance to him and Gu Xiulan convinced Jin Rongsan that this was his son—the son he hadn’t known existed until recently.
Across from him, Jin Zhiwen stared at the old photograph of his mother and a young man who looked like himself, lost in thought.
His mother had always told him his father died before he was born. So who was this man sitting before him today?
Jin Zhiwen looked up at the older man’s teary eyes and asked, "Mr. Jin, what are your intentions in showing me this photo?"
Hearing the indifference in his son’s voice, Jin Rongsan’s heart sank. He clenched his fists to calm himself before saying with a smile, "Zhiwen, the people in the picture are your mother and me. I’m your father."
When Jin Zhiwen heard this, he smiled and said, "Mr. Jin, I don’t know where you got this picture, but my father has been dead for a long time. He died before I was born. So, please stop saying nonsense."
