Chapter 83: Chapter 18 Royal Magic Academy

The sky was already dark, surrounded by a hazy moonlight.

Unable to restrain Gu Feng’s stubborn determination to rush back to the Magic Academy, Yun Sheng had no choice but to join Doctor Fan, pushing the cart together to send him to the Royal Magic Academy.

Before heading to the Royal Magic Academy, Yun Sheng’s impression of the academy still lingered in a magic novel from her previous life that she enjoyed very much.

Indeed, when she arrived at the Yujing Royal Magic Academy under Gu Feng’s guidance, what she saw was a scene not much different from the Magic Academy described in the books.

The Royal Magic Academy was built with substantial funds by the Great Zhou Imperial Family, and its campus was not located within Yujing City but was established on a scenic mountain outside the city.

This mountain, named Yucang, was once a hunting estate of the Great Zhou Imperial Family and was transformed later into the current scale of the Royal Magic Academy.

The academy is nestled amidst mountains and rivers, spanning nearly a thousand acres, where the scenery is evergreen and exquisitely beautiful, thanks to the magic arrays throughout the area.

The academy has constructed plazas, straight avenues, and luxurious buildings with the royal style. Gu Feng mentioned that there is also a special Magic Tower in the academy for magic students of different levels to study in.

When Yun Sheng and Doctor Fan arrived at the academy’s main gate, they saw several Lighting Magic Arrays, emitting a soft magical radiance.

Ahead was the main entrance to the Magic Academy, where the emblem of Yujing Magic Academy hung, featuring a Magic Wand surrounded by the four Natural Elements: red fire, yellow earth, blue water, and green wind, with the word "Yujing" inscribed below them.

"Beginner Student Gu Feng, why are you returning at this hour? Also, the academy strictly forbids bringing outsiders inside. Have you forgotten the school rules?" the campus guards stopped the trio as they approached the gate.

"I... I..." Gu Feng became nervous and even more stuttered, his tone anxious and at a loss for words.

"We’ve already notified your tutor, Mei Li. Whatever explanations you have, tell her," the campus guards noticed Gu Feng’s injury and the presence of two strangers and immediately notified a tutor within the academy.

Soon, a female Magic Tutor, fiery and swift, rushed out from within the campus like a whirlwind.

This female Mage wore a bright red Mage Robe, strikingly vivid, holding a Magic Wand in her hand. Upon seeing her, Yun Sheng realized she was a Magic Master.

As soon as Yun Sheng saw her, she knew that this female Magic Tutor must be a Mage specialized in both wind and fire elements.

"Gu Feng, you little rascal, are you asking to be confined? This month, because of you dragging your feet in Magic Combat class, our Magic Potion Group Thirteen has been at the bottom for two consecutive months with the Magic Power. If this continues, I’ll be the subject of mockery by other tutors at the end of the term!" The female Magic Tutor was Gu Feng’s teacher.

In the Magic Academy, every first-year student who joins the academy is assigned a Magic Tutor for guidance.

A Magic Tutor can either select students they prefer or be randomly assigned by the school.

Most tutors prefer to pick clever students with strong abilities. Mei Li had a family matter at the beginning of the school term and returned to school late; all the good students had been chosen by others, and she was left only with students like Gu Feng and another trainee.

The school spirit of the Royal Magic Academy is strict; students are mostly prohibited from leaving the campus at their own discretion for the majority of the month.

Today is the open day for the public, which is the monthly open day of the Royal Magic Academy, as well as a holiday for students. The academy allows students to go out, but they must return to the Royal Magic Academy around sunset.

After sunset, when Mei Li went to check the student dormitories, she found that Gu Feng had not returned.

Upon asking Gu Feng’s roommate, she learned that Gu Feng went to the city today to buy a Magic Wand.

Most magicians, after getting certified by the Magic Temple, would go buy a Magic Wand right away.

But Gu Feng, being a public student, was too poor, so he had to wait until today when he finally had enough money to buy his own Magic Wand.

Mei Li knew what kind of person Gu Feng was; he would never dare to not return to the academy on his own. But after waiting for a while, that boy still hadn’t returned, so Mei Li panicked and was about to go out to look for him when suddenly the academy guard sent a message saying that her student Gu Feng had come back, and had violated the rules by bringing two outsiders with him.

Mei Li’s temper was like a candle wick, easily lit, and she sprang into action.

Just when she was about to lecture Gu Feng, she saw the silly boy’s head wrapped like a Zongzi, and his clothes were old and covered with mud.

"Gu Feng! What happened?" Although Mei Li had a bit of a temper and was quite dissatisfied with Gu Feng always holding back the group she led, dissatisfaction did not mean she was willing to let her students be bullied.

She immediately turned her gaze to the suspicious figures, Yun Sheng and Doctor Fan.

That little one looked only five or six years old, so it certainly wasn’t her.

It must be the older one!

But upon seeing Doctor Fan’s appearance and the aura of Magic Elements surrounding him, Mei Li felt that something was off.

"No need to look any further, we didn’t bully him. It was people from the Magic Academy who bullied Gu Feng. Today he was trampled by a horse and nearly died. If you don’t believe it, you can check the back of his head," Yun Sheng interrupted.

"What? Was it those brats from the Magic Combat Department who bullied you again?! Tell me, which group was it?" It seemed from Mei Li’s words that the academy was divided between students of Magic Combat and Magic Potion.

"No... it was me... I accidentally fell... and got trampled by a passing horse," Gu Feng hastily denied, his cowardly demeanor so evident that Yun Sheng might have smacked him awake if not for the fact that he was injured.

Seeing that Gu Feng refused to admit the truth no matter what, Mei Li was furious and deeply frustrated by her student’s cowardice.

"I told you not to go out with Poison Boy, but you wouldn’t listen. You deserved to be bullied. And you two, thank you for bringing my student back. It’s getting late, and the Royal Magic Academy does not provide lodging for non-academy individuals. You may leave now," Mei Li said with a look of disappointment in her pupils, while also issuing a dismissal to Yun Sheng and the other person.

"Mei... Teacher Mei... don’t be in a rush to... send... Yun Sheng... she’s my benefactor... she also wants to enter... the Royal Magic Academy... can you help recommend her for... admission," Gu Feng might seem naive, but he was very grateful. He had overheard Yun Sheng expressing her wish to attend the Magic Academy and wanted his tutor to recommend Yun Sheng for admission.

He also hoped to have more likable classmates, preferably joining their Magic Potion Group Thirteen.

"You want to enter the Magic Academy? There’s no chance this year, better luck early next year," Mei Li waved her hand and with a Floating Technique of Wind Magic, lifted Gu Feng up, ready to enter the Royal Academy.
