Chapter 102: Chapter 37 Night Market

As the largest Magic Academy in Shengjing, the night market of the Royal Magic Academy is somewhat famous throughout the whole Shengjing.

When the night market of the Royal Magic Academy first formed, it was just a small scale free market. Magic Potions developed by the Magic Potion Department, magic artifacts forged by the Combat Department, both students and tutors would sell or directly barter surplus items for things they needed.

However, as the night market grew over time, more and more people came and went.

The Royal Academy had to open up an additional area outside the academy for public access.

Thus, the number of people coming and going to the night market increased.

Those who come here to buy and sell are not only students and tutors of the academy, but also martial artists, mages, merchants from various places, and local vendors all come to the night market to buy and sell the right items.

When Yun Sheng and Gu Feng arrived at the night market, they saw the brightly lit night market, with countless magic lamps made from solidified Lighting Techniques floating among the bushes like little elves, illuminating the night market as if it were daytime.

To enter the night market for trading is free, but if one wishes to set up a stall, an additional five copper coins are required. So, some financially tight mages or martial artists usually hawk their goods on the streets, exchanging goods directly for money, quite effectively.

When Yun Sheng and Gu Feng went out together, they were quickly separated by the dense crowd of the night market.

Yun Sheng wasn’t in a hurry to find Gu Feng; she watched the market for a while then sneaked behind a dense tree, took out a set of boys’ clothes prepared earlier from the Beast Language Ring, changed, and then put on the Illusion Power Earring.

After disguising herself, Yun Sheng blended back into the crowd of the night market and was indistinguishable from any ordinary beginner male student in the Magic Academy.

Yun Sheng came tonight primarily to look for a Magic Card, but after a round, she didn’t find any student selling Magic Cards, and couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

Just as she was about to turn back to look for Gu Feng, a figure in a hurry came from ahead, wearing a Magic Robe of a Great Magic Director, holding a Magic Wand, looking around while muttering, "Damn, why isn’t there a single Magic Potion Department, where am I supposed to find a Mid-grade Agility Potion."

Since there are not many mages in Great Zhou City, Magic Potions can only be purchased within the Magic Academy or in large business associations.

The person’s manner obviously showed an urgent need for an Agility Potion.

Yun Sheng quickly approached, "Senior, do you need Agility Potion? I have Agility Potion for sale here."

The Intermediate Student glanced at Yun Sheng casually, hearing her childish voice and seeing her small size, he couldn’t help but have a bit of contempt, "Scram, kid, the night market is not a place for kids like you to play house."

"Mid-grade Agility Potion, can increase movement technique for ten minutes," Yun Sheng wasn’t annoyed, and casually mentioned as the person prepared to walk past.

The Intermediate Student paused, the words ’Mid-grade Agility Potion’ almost took his breath away, and successfully caught his attention.

He took a careful look; Yun Sheng’s face was blurred, the other party must be wearing an illusion based Magic Artifact.

At such a young age, to possess an Illusion Power Magic Artifact, the Intermediate Students couldn’t help but feel embarrassed about their previous carelessness.

He quickly dragged Yun Sheng to a large tree nearby and asked in a low voice, "Are you a trainee from the Magic Potion Department? Mid-grade Agility Potion, you’re not scamming people, right?"

"It’s genuine," Yun Sheng took out a small bottle of Agility Potion, and the orange liquid instantly delighted the Intermediate Student.

"Great, I’ll take all your Mid-grade Magic Potions. I’m Tai Lang from the Magic Combat Department. I recently have a task from the academy and urgently need Agility Potions. Whatever amount you have, I will buy it," like his namesake, Tai Lang isn’t a Martial Artist, but the Magic Elements around him are as sharp as blades.

In the Royal Magic Academy, Beginner Students only need to study, but once they become Intermediate Students, the academy provides them with various challenging tasks, through which students can trade for precious Magic Artifacts, Magic Materials, and even advanced magic.

Tai Lang is an Earth-element Great Mage. Due to his inherent attributes, he is slightly slower than a typical Mage; however, his current academy task is to kill a Sixth Rank Wind-chasing Fox, an animal astonishingly fast.

Tai Lang had chased it for several days, always losing it at the last moment; he consulted his mentor, who suggested him to buy some Agility Potions from the Magic Potion Department.

The requirement was Mid-grade or higher Agility Potions, at least one bottle.

But when he inquired at the Magic Potion Department, the mentors there, upon hearing that he was a student from the Combat Department, were all unwilling to help. However, some trainees from the Magic Potion Department were willing to sell left-over Agility Potions from their experiment class, but those were only Basic Potions and didn’t meet Tai Lang’s requirements.

Having no other choice, Tai Lang came to the night market to see if he could luckily find someone selling Agility Potions.

Unexpectedly, his luck was so good that he didn’t wait long before encountering someone selling Mid-grade Agility Potions.

"I only have one bottle of potion, and it’s stolen from my mentor. I need an Intermediate Magic Card for the trade," Yun Sheng stated his demand, unwilling to reveal his secret ability to refine Mid-grade Magic Potions, hence claiming it was stolen.

This made Tai Lang trust even more in the quality of Yun Sheng’s Mid-grade potion.

He didn’t care how the potion was obtained, as long as it could help him complete his task.

"I have an Intermediate Magic Card, but it has been used three times; it still has a good amount of Magic Power left," Tai Lang was straightforward, as for a trainee from the Combat Department, practicing in the Magic Tower is less beneficial than participating in actual combat training outside.

He took out his Magic Card, erased the name on it, and handed it to Yun Sheng.

There are twelve hours left on the Magic Card; considering the addition from Magic Soul, it’s equivalent to having sixty hours, which is very useful for his cultivation.

"That’s too little, Mid-grade Agility Potions are rare in the market, this Magic Card is not enough," Yun Sheng was very shrewd, she figured that an Intermediate Student like Tai Lang must have substantial resources.

"You’re from the Magic Potion Department? I have an Ancient Magic Potion Recipe here, not sure if it’s genuine, but if you’re interested, you can take and study it," Tai Lang, seeing Yun Sheng was unyielding, was quite helpless. He remembered the recipe he had unintentionally obtained while completing an academy task, took it out casually, and handed it to Yun Sheng.

As Yun Sheng looked at it, her brows twitched, "Magic Potion, Moon God’s Praise."
