"It should be, yes."

The boy pondered for a moment, "Recently, the foremen haven’t been very happy. It’s said that the big boss has changed the original schedule from paying salaries at the beginning of the month to the middle, and then again to the end of the month. The foremen all suspect that the big boss is running out of money.

Then there was news that the big boss is building new factories in other cities, moving the money from here, and soon the foremen won’t be able to pay salaries.

We don’t have entertainment in the factory, so these gossipy news spread very quickly.

But these few days, there’s been word that the foremen have sent representatives to talk with the big boss, and he said that he will come soon to deal with this issue, and then we got the ’work hard’ orders."

So it should be that the big boss has come."

"Alright."

He Ao nodded slightly.

The logic of the boy was very clear and his mind was quite agile.

He Ao exchanged some information with him about the internal structure of the factory and the blind spots in surveillance. He then took the boy downstairs and called an unmanned taxi for him.

While waiting for the taxi, the boy cautiously asked, "Are you a Wilderness Wanderer too? May I know which clan or camp you are from?"

"Winno Camp."

He Ao calmly opened his fur coat collar, revealing a symmetrical snow mountain pattern on it.

The camp is located in a valley at the foot of a snow mountain called Winno, which is how it got its name.

"Oh wow!" the boy exclaimed, "Is your leader called Kano?"

Kano was Ronald’s father.

"Yes," He Ao looked at his surprised expression, "Is there a problem?"

"Actually, my parents had wanted to seek refuge with your camp,"

the boy sighed, "They would say, ’Mr. Kano will definitely accept us.’

Ronald’s father would indeed accept such wanderers, but the boy and his family never made it through the journey to migrate.

"Uncle, goodbye."

The boy got into the taxi and bid farewell to He Ao.

The taxi would take him to Roger’s clinic, where Penny would receive him.

He Ao watched the taxi drive away, then turned to look back at the towering factory building.

The area outside the building was unusually quiet, with figures in black patrolling along the perimeter wall of the factory.

It seemed they had discovered the bodies of the three individuals who had attacked He Ao and were stepping up their guard.

However, these black-clad security personnel didn’t appear like those from a traditional security company; rather, they looked more like gang members.

After pondering for a moment, He Ao stood behind the trees, concealing his figure.

Then he whispered, "Eve, help me investigate this ’Kyle Manufacturing Company.’"

"Sure."

The gentle voice of Eve echoed.

What followed was a brief silence.

The Eve on He Ao’s wristband was just a wake-up device, mainly used to connect with Eve’s network. Eve’s actual computing mainframe was still housed within the server array in the Nolanka Group’s vault.

Eve would gather various information on the net, access some of the Dark Web where the Nolanka Group had permissions, and then compile this information, highlighting the key and relevant details to He Ao.

About thirty seconds later, He Ao’s wristband vibrated slightly—it was information from Eve.

This included various equity structures involving the Kyle Manufacturing Company, its operational conditions, and the suspected hidden controller—a gang leader named Kyle.

This Kyle did not hold shares in the company directly, but effectively controlled over 70% of the company’s shares through various cross-holdings.

The gang he controlled occupied the northwest of the Aston District and most of the Kwei District, known as the ’Hunter Gang’."

The Hunter Gang is the second-ranked gang in Dawn City, currently in a deadlock with the top-ranked Money Rat Gang, which clearly intends to swallow up the Hunter Gang.

What surprised He Ao was that this Kyle had also taken out loans totaling fifteen million federal coins from Nolanka Bank in the names of different companies.

According to the banks’ internal evaluations, these loans all carried the risk of default.

This meant that Kyle indeed might have financial issues.

He Ao thought for a moment, picked up his bracelet, and made a phone call.

The phone rang once before being quickly answered, "Hello, this is Viktor."

Viktor was the leader of the Money Rat Gang. He Ao had seen his private phone number in the intelligence report on him by Avis Energy Group at Slanca’s place.

"Hello," He Ao calmly looked at the distant skyscrapers, "are you interested in making a deal?"

----

The big trucks came and went, entering and exiting through the wide portals.

Whenever a vehicle approached the gate, it would be stopped by the inspectors, who demanded the driver show a transit pass and checked inside the cargo for stowaways.

"Why has it suddenly become so strict?"

A skinny man in a black suit shut the truck door, motioning for it to move forward, while a tall man beside him passed over a cigarette and quietly asked.

"Heard a few Wilderness Hunters just died, while chasing after a runaway Wilderness Wanderer; the culprit is now unaccounted for."

The skinny man took the cigarette, lit it, put it in his mouth, and stood back beside the security booth at the gate.

"Someone died?"

"Yeah, and there was an explosion."

"An explosion too? I didn’t hear a thing."

The tall inquirer seemed visibly surprised.

"With all that noise," the skinny man pointed at the adjacent factory building, where the loud din nearly drowned out his voice, "you’d be the Devil himself if you could hear it. The explosion was spotted because of the light it gave off, which brought people running over."

"The world really isn’t peaceful these days," the tall man sighed, "But that Wilderness Wanderer has already run off; could they possibly come back? This is all just unnecessary extra work."

"Sigh, the boss has arrived, right?" the skinny man also sighed, "Mainly because the boss brought guests today and we have to keep up appearances. The higher-ups talk, and we run our legs off."

"These Wilderness Wanderers are always causing trouble. Wouldn’t it be better to just work honestly instead of always trying to escape?"

A truck drove in from outside, and the tall man took a drag on his cigarette, went to check it out, then came back and vented.

"You haven’t seen how it is up there," the skinny man shook his head, "I went there once for a task, and that environment, that workload, even the Devil would have to give a thumbs up to our boss.

The funniest thing is, when many Wilderness Wanderers arrive here, they really believe their new life is about to begin."

"Really?"

The tall man glanced at the high-rise building behind him, exhaling a puff of smoke.

"But don’t feel sorry for them," the skinny man chuckled, "For every new Wilderness Wanderer we introduce in there, we get a cut."

"You’re working as a middleman too?"

The tall man was a bit astonished.

"Just making a little extra on the side. I mean, the money’s going to the Wilderness Hunters either way, or it’s going to me," the skinny man said casually.

"Aren’t you afraid of bringing in some dangerous individual like the one who caused tonight’s explosion?"

The tall man sighed.

"What work doesn’t involve some risk? And I’ve been doing this for many years. The only risk I’ve ever faced was the occasional heart attack from the excitement of counting my bank digits. Don’t conjure up fears and then assume you’ll experience them," the skinny man joked. Just then, as he looked up, a gaunt man was slowly making his way toward the factory in the night; his tanned face and leather coat were the typical look of a Wilderness Wanderer.
