Kyle stared blankly at the twisted visage before him, and if it weren’t for Vian having mentioned this man not long ago, he would have nearly forgotten this ’fateful encounter’ he had in Kaye City.
The gunshot by his ear exploded like a splendid firework.
These were the fearless criminals charging the formation made up of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and prison guards.
Soon, a sizable breach was gnawed open by this frenzied group of criminals.
Chaos looked at Kyle with a smile, "Teacher, you have a chance to escape, will you choose to flee for your life?"
Upon hearing this, Kyle was slightly taken aback. He looked at the open iron gate before him without any hesitation, and lunged out, landing on the ground.
His muscles bulged throughout his body like a cage, like a ferocious beast breaking free from its cage.
The powerful Restraining Back Armor released dazzling electric light, trying to restrain the beast back into the cage.
But it was all too late.
Kyle spread his hands and broke free from the powerful Restraining Back Armor in the fierce electric light. His strength had reached the strongest stage of D level, and he had been hiding his power all along, just for this moment of freedom.
The steel fragments of the Restraining Back Armor scattered in every direction, hitting the cages and prison vans, making a crisp clanging noise.
"Ahh!!!"
He roared angrily, and his aged face seemed to rejuvenate by ten years.
Shouting hoarsely, he charged at the nearby Federal Bureau of Investigation agents, wanting to kill a few people for the thrill of it.
At that moment, the piercing sound of sirens suddenly came from afar, signaling the approaching police reinforcements.
Kyle looked up at the retreating Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and spit disdainfully.
Although he didn’t know why the police from Kaye City were joining in the tumult, he knew that if he delayed any longer, he wouldn’t be able to escape, so he didn’t hesitate, with force in his legs, he leaped toward the breach that the criminals had created.
Chaos followed closely behind Kyle, but he didn’t speak. He only spread the corners of his mouth, wearing a strange smile as he watched Kyle.
Kyle was unaware of the look his former foster son and student was giving him at that moment. His movements were swift, almost in an instant, he rushed through the breach.
For him, at that moment, escaping was the top priority. The rest could wait until he was alive to talk about it.
Once out, he could blend into the crowd, take on a new identity, and continue living his life.
He ran without looking back at anyone, nor did he care about Chaos and his following.
Because he knew, considering what he had done to Chaos, it was lucky that the other party didn’t come to kill him. Their coming to save him was utterly impossible.
So the other party must have a different agenda.
Kyle ran toward a secluded area, not knowing how much time had passed.
The sounds of gunfire dwindled, even the shrill sirens gradually faded away.
Finally, everything around him quieted down.
Kyle stopped and leaned against the wall in a dark corner of an alley.
He looked back, and there was nothing behind him, not even Chaos had followed.
He was somewhat puzzled by Chaos’s intentions.
However, having been mixed up in the criminal underworld for so many years, Kyle had gradually come to understand part of the thought processes of those crazy followers of the God of Chaos.
They enjoyed anything that could bring disorder to the world and disrupt the status quo.
Sometimes prison breaks were not for any particular objective but merely for the act itself, to please their god.
Releasing a nondiscriminatory murderer like Kyle inherently aided the spread of chaos, a move characteristic of those followers of the God of Chaos.
However, Kyle did not ponder too much on this issue, but since he had escaped, he was free once again.
Now the sky is high enough for birds to soar, and the sea is wide enough for fish to leap.
Though he had aged, he could still kill many people.
There were many occasions when he actually quite agreed with some of the actions of the Believers of the God of Chaos.
At least, killing brought pleasure.
He walked down the dimly lit streets, where a couple hugged each other under the dim yellow streetlight ahead.
Kyle twisted his neck and walked over with a sneer.
Just then, a hand landed on his shoulder.
"Mr. Kyle, you have broken the agreement you made with me."
"Heh."
Kyle immediately recognized the voice.
His body halted, he shrugged his shoulder to flick the hand off, then his left hand tensed up instantly, swinging into a claw and reaching straight for the throat of the person behind him.
Based on his past experience, this claw could directly pierce through the person’s throat, then rip out his trachea all at once.
But his attack unexpectedly missed.
He looked up at the person behind him; it was a young man with a resolute and handsome face, dressed in a black suit, tall and with an elegant frame. In his hand, he carried a silver briefcase, from which metal pieces separated and swiftly climbed up his arm.
"Vian, should I say you are young and brave, or should I say you’re foolishly fearless?"
A cold smile hung on Kyle’s aged face as he waved his hand once more, clawing towards He Ao.
He had already noticed that He Ao’s movements weren’t enhanced by Transcendent strength; evading his attack was entirely due to taking advantage of the momentum from Kyle’s shrugged shoulder.
To an ordinary person, these moves might seem strong, but to a powerful Transcendent, moves without the boost of strength were nearly just for show.
Kyle moved quickly, almost in the span of a breath, he was about to reach He Ao’s throat.
However, just as his fingertips were about to touch He Ao’s throat, a powerful arm firmly clamped around his wrist.
He glanced downward, only to see an arm wrapped in silver-gray armor.
And during this very brief glance, the silver-gray metal had already covered He Ao’s chest and head.
A silver radiance spilled from the chest, flowing like water towards every corner of the armor.
On the elegant armored helmet, the originally black eyes suddenly lit up, flashing a dazzling brilliance.
"Mr. Kyle, it’s my turn now."
A slightly husky mechanical voice emanated from the speaker hidden below.
Kyle stared dumbly at the humanoid Mecha before him, briefly dazed, "What the hell... ah..."
However, before he could finish his sentence, He Ao’s knee fiercely shot upward, striking Kyle’s abdomen and forcibly sending him flying into the wall.
He Ao reached behind his back, and a neat sword hilt popped out. He gripped the hilt and slowly pulled it outwards; folded metal fragments quickly assembled together, forming a sharp streamlined sword blade as he pulled it out.
It looked as if he was drawing a beautiful alloy Longsword from his waist.
The Adam Type 1 had been designed light because it needed to accommodate high-performance compressed batteries instead of a microfusion reactor, with many unnecessary configurations reduced as much as possible, mainly geared towards maneuver combat and long-range combat.
The Adam Type 2, now with a microfusion reactor and no energy issues, had all the previously trimmed parts and removed armor added back by He Ao.
Now, the Adam-type Mecha was in its most complete state.
He Ao cranked up the energy output power to one hundred percent.
