Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Mission Completed (Extra Volume - Please Subscribe, Add to Favorites, and Vote for Monthly Tickets)

The Evil God’s Offspring was violently knocked away, landing in front of the stage.

Under Christos’s direction, the crowd retreated efficiently and in an orderly manner.

He Ao charged towards the Evil God’s Offspring, and the two collided once again.

By now, the bones that had burst from the flesh were covering most of the Evil God’s Offspring’s body, and the hideous, terrifying wound that had been inflicted by He Ao and Selena had also healed. Her power had become even stronger, and it was still increasing.

He Ao’s face turned red as he resisted the storm-like onslaught from the Evil God’s Offspring.

With a physical condition of 227, he was still too weak against an opponent of this caliber.

In the brief skirmish, He Ao’s body was lacerated with several new wounds, while the barely healed wounds from the battle with Dancing Girl also split open.

"Ahh!!!"

After yet another explosive effort that sent the Evil God’s Offspring flying back, He Ao took out the Gene Potion that Vianne had given him.

He pressed the button on the top of the syringe, and the silver needle shot out instantly. Without hesitation, He Ao plunged the needle into his left upper arm, and injected the Gene Potion.

Thump—thump—thump—

That was the sound of his heart beating violently.

A brutal and insane strength flowed through his veins to his entire body, surging towards his heart. Stimulated by this immense force, He Ao felt as if every inch of his muscles was being pulled by a massive power. The intense pain was like being cut by a thousand knives, and his heart thundered with such force it seemed to echo.

His body inflated rapidly as if it were a balloon filled with air, and in an instant, it burst forth from his clothes, with only the overcoat managing to hold tight and prevent his body from being completely exposed.

Squirming flesh sprouted within the muscles around his wounds, intertwining to rapidly heal the torn flesh.

Meanwhile, a cacophony of mad, chaotic mutterings resounded in He Ao’s mind.

This muttering didn’t entice He Ao towards reverence for the Divine Beings as the mutterings of the God of Knowledge or the Witch of Desire did but was purely madness and chaos, stirring He Ao’s emotions, urging him towards insanity and slaughter.

However, this madness was slightly countered by another whisper, a murmur He Ao had faintly perceived after absorbing Qi Ke’s Talent Sequences. He originally thought it was the Witch of Desire’s whispering, but after facing the Witch of Desire’s Offspring, he realized that this whispering didn’t originate from her.

These murmurs didn’t convey specific information or drive He Ao to do anything, but instead hovered in his mind like the drone of summer mosquitoes, more reminiscent of a background noise from the world than a whisper from a Higher Being.

It was like the sound of the wind heard by someone walking in a breeze.

Although He Ao couldn’t determine what this ’background noise’ whisper was, it effectively weakened the madness and chaos brought about by the Gene Potion, sparing him from expending too much effort to control his body’s urge to kill.

He Ao glanced at his attribute panel; his physical condition had surged from 227 to 377, a markup of 150, already nearly twice that of an average D-rank individual.

He plunged his short sword into the ground, leaped high into the air, and faced the Evil God’s Offspring who was charging at him from the sky. During this process, his muscles bulged in clumps, swelling like a little giant, then he smashed the Evil God’s Offspring into the ground with a direct punch.

A colossal thump echoed throughout the entire theater, and the solid cement ground cracked with web-like fissures.

But indeed, Nord Consortium had put some thought into the construction of the Sky Plaza; even after such a battle, the ground was still not breached.

And as the Evil God’s Offspring fell, He Ao also plummeted down.

The Evil God’s Offspring had just struggled to her feet when she was hammered back into the ground by his punch.

He Ao didn’t have much time; after the injection of the Gene Potion, as his physical condition was enhanced, his life force was also vanishing at a terrifying rate.

It was essentially trading life for power, ultimately a Life Consuming move.

He Ao, mounting the Evil God’s Offspring, rained down punches furiously. His flesh and blood fists collided with the hard bones, creating severe noise and pain, but He Ao, seemingly unaffected, continued punching until the bones protecting the Evil God’s Offspring’s heart showed a dense network of cracks.

By then, He Ao’s fists were blurred with blood and flesh, squirming flesh sprouted from his hands, repairing the damaged muscles.

And just as he was about to shatter the bone over the Evil God’s Offspring’s chest, she let out a fierce roar, and bone plates extended from her neck, covering her face.

She had finally completed her final transformation, and with a fierce effort, she knocked He Ao away.

If her Advent target had been a God’s Chosen of the Witch of Desire, if she had enough Sacrifices, if the souls she had absorbed at the beginning of her advent had been successful, even if just one of these conditions had been met, she wouldn’t have needed to spend so much time transforming into this ugly shape, and her power would have been far below expectations.

It was all because of this insignificant life!

She looked towards He Ao, leapt up tens of meters, and sharp bone spurs shot out from her body, aiming at He Ao in the sky.

He Ao struggled to dodge these bone spurs in the air, but two still struck him, one piercing his abdomen and another penetrating his right shoulder.

He landed on the ground, bearing the excruciating pain as he pulled out the two bone spurs, hurling them back at the Evil God’s Offspring in the sky, who seemed to have lost the ability to fly after losing those glowing organs.

While the Evil God’s Offspring dodged the bone spurs he threw back, He Ao rolled on the ground, coming to a stop beside the short sword he had planted earlier. He yanked it out of the ground and ran towards the edge of the theater.

The Evil God’s Offspring relentlessly pursued him from behind.

He Ao tore off his tight overcoat, grabbed the pieces laden with items, and continued to run around the edge of the theater, the Evil God’s Offspring drawing ever closer. Several times the Evil God’s Offspring tried to cut him off by leaping in front, but each time he narrowly dodged her.

Finally, he made his way to the safest exit at the very back of the theater; the remnants of his trench coat had already scattered across the theater floor during the recent battle.

By this time, everyone in the theater had been fully evacuated. Christos stood in front of the last emergency exit, having had Selena and Vianne taken away by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He hoisted a mini Gauss cannon onto his shoulder and fired at the Evil God’s Offspring chasing after He Ao. Amid the violent blast, he shouted, "Let’s go together—run!!!"

Run?

He Ao looked at the Evil God’s Offspring that had dodged the Gauss cannon and was now frantically charging at him.

His life force was nearly depleted, and with Super Memory activated for so long, his soul was also reaching its limit.

He couldn’t run anymore.

He leaped forward, rushing towards the Evil God’s Offspring, his sharp short sword piercing through the once-shattered chest bones of the creature and into its chest.

The Evil God’s Offspring savagely attacked him, its sharp bone spurs piercing through his body.

He roared and pushed the Evil God’s Offspring forward, running until they reached the center of the stage,

The sharp tip of the sword passed through the gaps between the bones on the back of the Evil God’s Offspring, and He Ao used this momentum to pin the creature to the ground.

He turned his head to look back at Christos, his cheeks smeared with fresh red blood, blurring his visage.

"Run."

His mouth opened slightly.

Christos felt a bad premonition rising within him.

A shaky breeze blew in from an opening above the stage.

It was the hole made by Selena when she attacked the Evil God’s Offspring. She didn’t just pierce through the theater but also the glass barrier behind it.

Pieces of the trench coat that had fallen to the ground were gently blown away, revealing what lay beneath the fragments.

Textbooks, homework books, fountain pens, a neatly folded new schoolbag, a brand-new bottle of ink, human skull fragments, human finger bones, arranged clockwise and secured to the ground.

The Evil God’s Offspring seemed to realize something, struggling to rise, but He Ao turned his head and forcefully pressed it back down again.

"I have seen,"

The effects of the Gene Potion had reached their limits, and as that powerful force faded, his once smooth skin began to age and wrinkle.

"All things will eventually perish,"

The brown-golden hair, once beautiful, began to lose its color, turning to a dry, straw-like gray-white.

"Only the Truth is eternal!"

The dazzling Septagram Array throughout the theater suddenly lit up, the Array which He Ao had spent over an hour crafting with invisible Transcendent materials throughout the entire theater.

Phantom figures appeared in the air, their twisted, mad murmurs echoing in He Ao’s ears, with endless knowledge flooding into his mind like a tide.

The earnest chanting resounded in the air,

"All things will eventually perish, only the Truth is eternal!"

Massive and vast gazes pierced through time and space to cast their attention.

This time, He Ao did not hesitate and directly spoke to that ’Great Being’ in his mind, "Yezola..."

In the instant the last syllable of ’Yezola’ fell, even before He Ao had a chance to say what followed, a tremendous destructive force descended from the heavens.

A gray-white radiance illuminated the night sky in an instant, a terrifying force sweeping through every corner of the Array.

Christos, who stood at the edge of the Array, promptly jumped into the emergency passage but was still sent flying by the escaping force, slamming into the wall.
