Chapter 104: Alien Tech, Again?....

"No, it’s good for now. Activate Freestyle Mode."

Gort chuckled, not wanting to rely on any GPS. After all, he wasn’t going anywhere. Before everyone’s naked eyeballs, The hoverboard raised several feet high, swishing and gliding around the place.

"Awesome!"

"So COOL!"

Larkh’s eyes glistened uncontrollably. "There’s no exhaust emitting anyway. This is pure levitation technology! Boy... Boy... Ouff, I’m going to have a heart attack."

"My God, save some space in the ER for me... Levitation Technology! It’s actually levitation technology! Do you know what this means?"

’0’

Already, the scientists in the room were getting so excited their bodies almost gave up on them. Heck, even the non-scientists were finding difficulties breathing normally.

The scene alone stole their breaths, causing their bodies to wobble from side to side. No one needed to say more, already understanding the boundless possibilities involving Levitation technology.

"Everyone, no matter what we do, we have to start small. That’s why the Hoverboard will be the first locomotive item we make... You can all expect that soon, more will emerge when the time is right."

Genius!

The eyes they used to look at Gort, took several degree turns and filters from before. This boy, Gort from Geldhan village, was no doubt a one-in-a-trillion Genius!

Soon, Gort returned to the ground, turning the hoverboard into tablet size again.

Combat, functional and portable.

"I take it that with your dividends in, many of you now have surplus money in your accounts. So why not invest in the new company GF World Tech which will soon open?"

With a snap of his gingers, Katrina and her spider began distributing documents. Yes, everyone, including Hendo (Father of the twins), and the other parents were here. Rufung and even his wife Mina were also in attendance. Don’t forget that all primary overseers and decision makers had grouped in his home. They loved how Gort often kept them in the loop. It made them feel like they were truly building a future together.

Several people crowded over the few documents with interest.

The words were clear:

{ GF World Tech Transportation }

Gort has enough money, and could decide to do it all alone, raking in all profits for himself. However, that wasn’t his style.

What’s more, for everyone to truly feel a sense of responsibility, giving them a cut of the pie would end in long lasting results. Well, after all they saw today, they knew that Gort was the future, and the future was Gort. Missing such a wagon of opportunity would only make them grovel in regret.

Hearing that each share was now 800,000, Akin’s family readily agreed. They now had a surplus of 2 and a half million in their account.

Their initial investment for the first share was 500,000. They’ve more than made up for this number. So if they invest another 800,000, they’ll still have a million and several hundred thousands left.

It’s true that it might take a month for the dividends from the new company to hit, but don’t forget that they’ll still be receiving money from GF world tech communications.

Without haste, they all agreed. Since Gort would be a leader in this new world, only by following his every move can their family’s survival be guaranteed.

"I’m in! Anything brother Fang says, Thulu will gladly do."

Larkh had another mini attack, staring at Gort hatefully.

[Larkh]: So shameless! Even now, you are still seducing my Thulu

[Gort]... (-_-)

Old gramps, don’t you think you’re exaggerating a bit here? How come every conversation between Thulu and I will turn to seduction in your mouth?

Gort had no tears but wanted to cry. He rolled his eyes heavenwards, swearing that if Larkh wasn’t Thulu’s father and his mentor, he would have long thrown the ridiculous old man out.

Hmph!

How did Sister Tunada marry such a rigid and pesky old man? It was amazing how Gort referred to Tunada as ’sister’, but called Larkh an old Fart every now and then.

With the demonstration over Gort spoke briefly about his plans, before dismissing them for the night.

Ghawkakakakaakak~

Khelt Kin teasingly slapped Gort’s back with his rough burly hands. Gort swore his soul momentarily left his body.

’Should I cut down on this guy’s enhanced food ration? I think my back was cracked just now.’ Gort truly pondered on this matter.

"Kid, you sure are something. Hey, you made this old man 30 million in one swoop. If you were not so young, I would have given you to my goddaughter who is 4 years older than you."

So she’s 18? No thanks. Even if she was in his age bracket, his Thulu was enough for him.

Then, Khelt Kin’s expression grew stern. "Kid, that old fart, the one who goes about causing trouble, is now acting odd."

Gort knew who he was referring to—Old Welland.

"These days, the old man has people delivering expensive goods from the county. He says its with money his son made from stocks. Now, that might be the case, however... if the data serves me right, you did mention that his son was in Kevian country, no?"

Gort’s eyes grew distant in thought. Refund was also beside them.

"We have reached the stage when utmost care is essential." Refund advised. "Maybe he has no plans, or perhaps he does. Whatever the case, we must prepare for the inevitable."

"You’re both right," Gort agreed heavily.

If he would, he would like for inner peace to be a constant thing in Geldhan village. However, humans have time and time again proved that there will always be a black leg swimming around the congregation.

The feud between his family and Old Welland’s, was one that went as far back as any of his ancestors could remember.

Prevention, they say, is often better than cure.

"Keep an eye on his movements, gathering intel at every instance. Although he often pushed the matter behind, I should have acknowledged the power that was always in front of me."

"My Father is the Village Chief... As his son, and the one most likely to take over his position, it’s only right for me to take necessary steps, no?"
