Chapter 664: Chapter 308 Weapons
Yuki’s body already bore several marks. They were wounds from a chainsaw sword. In addition, there were dents all over his body, which were gun wounds from the Cybermen.
Yuki’s current situation was very bad. Doctor Schultz lay on the ground, with several other residents of the town nearby. This restricted his movement. If he moved throughout the town, the small group of people gathered here could all be in danger.
If it was Xiang Shan, he would have made the "most beneficial" choice without hesitation. Xiang Shan was very clear that only by staying alive and continuously causing damage to the enemy forces could he temporarily deter these Green Forest men from their killing spree and focus on him.
But Yuki couldn’t do this. After all, Recycling Station Town was his hometown. He really didn’t like the current Dr. Schultz, and he loathed the "Child King Yuan," but he didn’t want to watch these people die like this.
In just a moment, numerous wounds had appeared on his body.
Meanwhile, only two Green Forest lackeys had fallen to the ground.
Counting the one he had just ambushed and killed, Yuki had eliminated a total of three Green Forest men.
Compared to the total number of a dozen or so, this was quite an impressive accomplishment. For the Green Forest, this was considered a "significant reduction in forces."
But it wasn’t much help to the current battle situation.
More Green Forest lackeys were converging. They still had enough manpower to form a basic battle formation and cover for each other’s weaknesses through coordination.
These guys with industrial prostheses, taken individually, were full of flaws in their movements and were opponents that the current Yuki could easily defeat. But when many of them acted together, their flawed sword pressing would overlap.
Each one was covering the flaws of another.
Even if these lackeys simply let the Martial Arts Algorithm run automatically, without the brain providing any decisions, such attacks were enough to suppress Yuki.
Not to mention, there were several gunners prowling around the perimeter.
Yuki didn’t even dare to distance himself from the opponent’s sword formation.
Normally, when facing such basic Military Battle Formations, one should rely on the agility of the prosthetic body to move quickly, pulling away and making the enemy’s "changing of formation" unable to keep up with your movement speed.
But with the gunners pressing him, Yuki could only maintain a state of entanglement, unable to even "skirt the edges."
And Han Zhun, who was supposed to burst in from behind the Green Forest, had not appeared.
However, that recent shout of "Liu Ri, I’m here to save you!" was loud enough, and Yuki had heard it.
It seemed that Liu Ri must have encountered something.
Of course, strategically speaking, Han Zhun should be here, as that would lead to the best outcome.
But—
—Master at that time... the story from Senior Tao... what... "this little fish cares"...
A stray thought flashed through Yuki’s mind.
The pressure the Green Forest lackeys exerted on him was "just at the limit." If the Green Forest were to be even slightly stronger, then he would have collapsed quickly like a camel crushed under the last straw. However, the skills of the Green Forest lackeys were limited. Within a unit space, they couldn’t cram in more combat power.
Yuki could barely maintain the situation, managing to kill one in a surprise attack was his limit.
At this rate, it might take him an hour to fight until the opposing formation collapsed.
Yuki didn’t know if his prosthetic body could last that long, nor did he know how Liu Ri was doing and whether the outcome would be determined first.
Yuki felt as if he were being crushed by heavy weights and found it difficult to take a single step.
This feeling was like waiting for death.
As his thoughts became disoriented, Yuki’s movement technique lost some of its fluidity.
Immediately, a chainsaw greatsword struck him, sending up sparks.
—I’m going to die...
This unprecedented fear swept over Yuki. He had faced life-threatening dangers before while acting heroically with Xiang Shan, such as the time with the legacy of the Eighth Martial God. But that was different; his master had already taken action, Yuan Wenren was behind him, and even Borshu had reached out to help at the critical moment...
—And at that time, there was no need to consider "whether it had meaning" or to think about "whether this decision would bring risk"...
—But now...
Yuki even began to waver with the thought, "Is it worth dying to save these people?"
The current situation was the result of his own decisions...
"If it wasn’t about ’being responsible for oneself’... if it was only about ’obedience’, maybe one wouldn’t have to suffer such fear."
Yuki felt deeply ashamed of that thought.
Unless there was a variable that could break this situation.
Another two sparks burst on Yuki’s body.
The External Armor even let out a crisp sound.
Yuki knew that he might really die here. A disciple of the Martial Ancestor was actually being suppressed by a group of lackeys, ultimately to fall...
—It was truly a disgrace to his master... Perhaps being expelled from the school would be even...
Yuki gritted his teeth and made his strategy even more aggressive.
—At least before dying...
With a "smack," another Green Forest lackey was killed by Yuki.
The battle formation loosened for a moment because of this.
And in that instant...
In just that fleeting moment, Zoloa made his move.
Zoloa had been staring at the stick on the ground for a long time. That stick, which the whole town had pinned their hopes on... that which was considered the divine object capable of driving away the Green Forest.
Even though it showed no miracles. One thing was certain, it was at least a qualified weapon.
After realizing the martial artist from the city was at a disadvantage, Zoloa could think of nothing else.
"I must strike down those bastards."
And at that moment, his gaze was firmly captured by that weapon.
In that brief instant, he found that nothing stood between him and the weapon anymore.
So, he rushed out.
An Industrial Prosthesis was slow. Even if he burst forth at his fastest speed, he couldn’t grab the weapon "before everyone else could react."
Bullets exploded at his feet.
Lackeys were already trying to stop him.
Zoloa didn’t hesitate and grabbed the stick.
Then, he lifted the weapon high above his head and charged in the direction Yuki was surrounded!
"Aaaaargh!"
He swung the stick down!
This swing had no variation, and even the Green Forest managed a precise prediction. A martial artist turned around, raised his shield, and then swept across with a Chainsaw Greatsword.
Zoloa desperately gripped the stick, controlling the force of the recoil, while ignoring the hit that concentrated on his lower abdomen, and smashed down hard with the stick.
Numerous metal teeth flew in all directions. Yet this transmission shaft remained completely undamaged.
A bullet grazed Zoloa’s lower abdomen, taking away a large piece of flesh. Zoloa’s body tilted, instinctively using the stick for support.
The Green Forest lackey in front of him raised the Chainsaw Sword again.
Then his movement was abruptly halted.
Yuki seized the momentary chaos of the formation to break out of the encirclement and struck down on that guy’s neck.
The young Hero stood beside Zoloa, holding the long stick: "Mind if I borrow this?"
Zoloa didn’t hesitate, releasing his grip. His whole body slumped to the ground.
Yuki took hold of the stick. He whispered to Zoloa, "Three years ago, I was weaker than you, a lot weaker. Learning martial arts isn’t difficult... at least, it’s simpler than charging out just now."
Then, he swung the long stick and said loudly to everyone else—especially Doctor Schultz: "Gentlemen, watch closely—this is how a weapon is used!"
