Chapter 1471: Chapter 1471: The Game
“Who is it!”
Silas Will pushed open the car door and drew the longsword from his waist.
In an instant, all the car lights turned on.
The Micah Will disciples got out one after another, standing behind Silas Will.
“Save me!” Jace Will was being subdued by two men, struggling and shouting at the top of his lungs.
But Silas Will did not rush to act. Instead, he stopped the Micah Will disciples behind him who were eager to charge forward, his eyes constantly scanning the scene.
The intentions of the visitors were not good!
A Great Grandmaster, four Grandmasters.
He tilted his head.
In the shadows, there were many other martial artists.
If it came to a fight, chances were high he wouldn’t survive.
“Silas Will, save me!” Jace Will, in extreme fear, had sobered up slightly.
His body bound, an icy terror gripped his heart!
Dread!
“Apologies, I’m powerless.” Silas Will, his face sinister, looked toward the men holding Jace Will. “Let me ask, who exactly are you?”
This scene was far from simple.
“The more you know, the faster you die!” The Young Family Great Grandmaster held a knife in one hand and spoke coldly.
“Silas Will! You’re just going to watch me die?!” Jace Will’s heart sank, his terror growing even heavier.
Silas Will was his only lifeline.
If Silas Will didn’t act now, he’d have no choice but to be taken away!
Left at their mercy!
“Young master, even if I risk my life, I lack the strength to save you.” Silas Will bowed deeply. “But rest assured, I will exhaust every possible means to rescue you!”
After saying this, he looked at the Young Family Grandmaster. “What conditions would make you let him go? Since you dared to come here and abduct him, you obviously know our identity, and you’re clearly not fearful. But what you may not know is that Micah Will has already reconciled with Pendleton and pledged allegiance. If you take him away, Pendleton will intervene.”
At present.
The Micah Will faction was in turmoil.
After expelling Nash Will and successfully usurping power, Jace Will began a bloody purge of those who had previously supported his younger brother.
The Micah Will elite suffered heavy losses, with nearly half perishing from internal strife.
To save Jace Will now, the only way was through Pendleton.
Bringing up Pendleton now was an attempt to intimidate the uninvited guests before him.
“You talk too much!”
Fwoom!
The Young Family Great Grandmaster charged fiercely with the long knife in hand!
Clang!
Blade clashed against sword!
Leveraging the force, Silas Will vanished into the darkness.
“Silas Will! I’ll kill you!” Jace Will roared in despair.
Alcohol had clouded his mind, driving him from reason.
A night drenched in slaughter had already twisted Jace Will’s heart.
This was precisely why he wasted away in a brothel late at night, instead of returning!
He hated!
Hated his father!
Hated the world!
“Take him away!”
Ambrose Young rolled up the newspaper in his hand and lightly slapped Jace Will’s face. “Pretty boy, still think you can take my life? May I ask, how far beneath me are you?”
The Micah Will disciples scattered.
The Young Family martial artists paid them no attention.
With Jace Will captured, their mission was accomplished.
After the Young Family people left, the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance experts disappeared into the darkness.
…
Pain!
Helplessness!
Dazzling light!
These were the first sensations that struck Silas Will when he opened his eyes.
He couldn’t forget that darkness!
He couldn’t forget Nash Will’s face!
He couldn’t forget the torment of having his hamstrings severed!
Now there was light!
But it pierced his eyes with pain!
“Where am I?” Silas Will opened his eyes and found himself lying inside a warehouse.
This was not the warehouse he’d been in before.
The warehouse had a roof, had doors.
A large screen.
And lights.
But the door was shut.
The warehouse interior was very new.
Spacious.
No sign of anyone, nor any sound.
Silas Will’s throat moved slightly, forcing himself to stay calm.
He scanned his surroundings, finding nothing.
As he attempted to stand up—
Pain!
Hamstrings, severed.
This wasn’t a dream!
What about Nash Will?
Before he fainted, the person whose neck had been twisted, whose lifeless body lay on the ground—was it Nash Will?
Suddenly.
The sound of footsteps approached.
“Now, I want to play a game with you.” Julius Reed stood at the edge of the warehouse and spoke up. “If you win this game, you will gain freedom. If not, you will die here.”
“Who are you! Stop acting mysterious! Show yourself!”
Silas Will shouted angrily.
He couldn’t help but cough.
His injuries were too severe.
His originally frail body now considerably weakened after fighting the Micah Will disciples and then clashing with Nash Will.
Now with both legs crippled and severe blood loss, he appeared even more fragile.
“I am the one who sets the rules! Given that you were once the Vein Holder of Micah Will, I’m giving you one chance—one chance to turn the tables. Of course, the cost is that you surrender the ‘Nine Heavens Thorn.'”
Julius Reed finished speaking and turned to leave.
“Come back! Kill me! I will never hand over the ‘Nine Heavens Thorn’! Kill me!” Silas Will roared and screamed, but received no response.
“Are you sure he’ll hand it over?” Gabriel Young asked worriedly. “What if he refuses to comply? Or rather, if he were willing, wouldn’t he have already told Nash Will back in the warehouse?”
“If he were willing to tell, he would have already told Nash Will. Clearly, Silas Will is a stubborn old man. Unless faced with someone he hates to the bone, he won’t surrender the ‘Nine Heavens Thorn.'” Julius Reed, his hands held behind his back, sat inside a monitoring room.
“From my investigation, Silas Will’s most cherished person was a woman named Rhidian. This woman bore him a son, Kamden Will. Silas Will even abolished the tradition of primogeniture to appoint Kamden Will as the new Vein Holder, which triggered the rebellion.”
Julius Reed glanced at the surveillance footage showing Silas Will shouting and raging, and turned to Gabriel Young. “I heard that the first thing Jace Will did as the new Vein Holder was kill Rhidian. Tell me, doesn’t he hate this son of his?”
“Hmm.” Gabriel Young nodded.
Double hatred.
Usurping power, killing his wife.
“Remember, you have one chance. As long as you surrender the ‘Nine Heavens Thorn,’ you can kill your opponent and regain your freedom.”
Julius Reed’s voice rang out again.
Inside the warehouse, the large screen flickered without showing any images.
Soon, a group of Young Family martial artists entered the warehouse, dragging Silas Will to the far west end.
At the center of the warehouse, there was a box of concealed weapons.
“Kill me!”
Silas Will screamed in fury. “A man may die, but he will not be humiliated!”
But the martial artists ignored him.
Ten minutes later.
Another person was brought to the far east side of the warehouse, likewise with both hamstrings severed.
“You maniacs! I’ll make you pay for this!”
Jace Will wailed in agony.
“Now, let me announce the game rules.” Julius Reed’s voice rang out again. “In the center of the warehouse, there’s a box of concealed weapons. If either of you can retrieve the box, kill the other, you may leave here. Remember, only one can survive.”
Silence!
Inside the warehouse, four eyes locked onto each other.
“It’s you!”
Both shouted at the same time.
“Why did you betray me!” Silas Will completely lost control upon seeing Jace Will!
“Usurpation, murder! Inhuman acts—you’ve done them all!”
He pointed at his own son, trembling all over. “Why!”
“Why?” Jace Will sneered coldly. “Old man, I sent people everywhere to find you! Seems that Nash Will messed up. Perfect, since heaven has given me this chance, I’ll end you myself!”
With that, Jace Will exerted all his strength, crawling toward the center of the warehouse!
Two men, hamstrings severed, could only use their hands, inching forward!
“I’ll cleanse my family honor!” Silas Will, driven by a death wish, suddenly surged with fighting spirit! “Even if I die, I’ll drag you down with me!”
