She repeated what Jingzhe had said to her, word by word and then she waited for Rose to confirm if she had been right or he was.

Rose crossed one of her legs over the other and said slowly, "Well, here are the pros. He is not greedy for easy wealth or power. If this chance had been given to Mo Liang, he would have jumped at it immediately. This shows that he is not with you for connections or to elevate his class.

It also shows that he is hardworking and willing to make it on his own. Let’s be honest, he has money. With money, he can buy influence among politicians. We have many wealthy influential people in the empire that are not nobles and yet we accord them the same respect which is given to us nobles.

He doesn’t need to be a noble to be successful Mei Mei. You are wrong about that."

"Do the cons too." Mei Mei crossed her arms on her chest.

Rose put her hands together and continued in the same slow voice she had used before, "Class differences do not matter when you are at home with your family. But, there are times when they will come up. Especially with you being a Jun and part of the royal inner circle.
