Chapter 754: Chapter 353: Ustato Territory Incident

The hills outside Kilmerton Fortress.

The wilderness in the eastern Kantadar during summer, once almost devoid of insect chirping under the Cloud Domain, now echoes again on the resurrected land.

A stone pillar monument silently stands at the top of the hill.

It is the place where Leon once stood, and where he, under the name of Alliance Marshal, appointed the initial over fifteen hundred Holy War Knights after the final test of will.

Nearly a year and a half later, Leon returned here again, only to awaken the heroic souls of the past.

Passing by the memorial stone of fallen heroes, he reached the very spot where those valiant warriors were appointed.

The ceremonial demon runes unfolded, and Kovis, holding the sword of the War Oath, placed this holy artifact of the Alliance at the center of the ceremony.

According to the magical principles in Aphrodite’s manuscripts, after his and another’s study and calculation at the Mage Tower, counter-intuitively, a summoning of an entire concept like this shouldn’t present too many positional bases akin to individually summoning wandering souls, for simultaneous contact with multiple wandering souls could significantly disrupt the summoning process and cause the magic to collapse.

In other words, for individual summoning, the more detailed and substantial the positional base, the better.

While for summoning a group of multiple souls, the more scant yet precisely encompassing the positional base, the better.

Leon drew an empty Nedy Card, beginning his first attempt to summon an entire army.

The operating miracle magic gradually started deciphering the information within the world’s ceremonial base, as the consciousness of the spellcaster seemed dimly submerged into the Dead Sea.

In the infinite void, surrounded by the resonant echoes of countless wandering souls.

Leon listened to the voices of blood and iron, with scenes of courage-carved pasts reflecting in his mind.

The terrifying demonic calamity sweeping the land, much like a merciless bloody net, cruelly sieved out the weak, the cowardly, and the fearful….the souls converging on this sword, were dazzling golden and white lights that stood last before the end.

Different from the twisted Canis resentful spirits.

Within the deathly silent deep sea, Leon sensed the warmth and zeal gathering around.

The passionate spirits brimming with bold shouts and laughter, surrounded him.

In the extraordinary memory, he remembered each name of the twelve hundred and twenty-five noble souls.

All responded to his call, coming forth voluntarily from their eternal slumber.

——Take these souls away.

Just as the thought emerged in his mind, the ceremony linked to the nearby multitude of souls, Leon reluctantly realized…the capacity and stability of the black Nedy Card were far from sufficient.

As expected, without Iseya Soul Stone to expand the energy space of the Nedy Card, it’s impossible to accommodate so many spiritual bodies at once.

After pondering deeply, he tentatively calculated the optimal capacity ratio, ultimately leaving behind a regretful soul’s words.

Wait for me, I shall return one day to take you all away….

He ultimately selected a suitable number of a hundred Holy War Knight heroic spirits, which his magic power could sustain and the Nedy Card could accommodate, entered a contract with Leon’s consciousness, and suddenly rose from the Dead Sea….

On the vast grassland, an unprecedented gale of magic power blew, forcing Kovis, bending and shielding his eyes, his battle robe billowing wildly.

The light surrounding the demon rune shot skyward, as the ubiquitous light reshaped into spiritual bodies, the Holy War Knights clad in the heaviest armor from their final battle reemerged in the world.

The assembled Demon Hunting Warriors stood orderly, resonating their reforged spiritual weapons.

The leading knight removed his helmet, revealing a face as chiseled and resolute, looking towards his leader in life.

“….Under the witness of the sun, the Holy War Knights respond to your call, Marshal. We shall continue to follow you, devoutly adhering to our oath, protecting all beings with the blades in our hands…”

…..

At Kilmerton Fortress, Leon walked towards the main castle hall, flipping and admiring the brand new Heroic Spirit Card in his hand — “Holy War Knight.”

The card’s front featured the knights receiving their appointment under a gloomy sky, and the back bore the emblem of the Alliance’s Gryphon with a sword.

The heroic souls of a hundred warriors, had already maxed out the black Nedy Card’s capacity. Among them, besides his own subordinates and warriors from the Thorny Flower Family, some were Ranger Knights, some were Knight Kantadars, some were Dinexion’s Holy Lake Knights, and some were Orland Sea Eagle Knights under Ines.

And although it was likewise a black card, maintaining the magic consumption of this Heroic Spirit Card was nearly dozens of times that for “Canis,” even easier to uphold against Fearsome Mountain Bear Calisto.

This is understandable because even though most heroic souls he selected had moderate soul strength, within these hundred heroic souls were some as formidable as Canis, some even stronger than the Wolf Family Young Master, Knight of Valor.

However, despite the cost of using this card being so high, it was still immensely worthwhile.

Although it wasn’t as effortless to maintain the card spirit’s long-term presence as with Canis, generally speaking, a single battle doesn’t require such prolonged presence time.

A hundred heavily armored, unafraid of death and oblivious to losses, brave Iron Cavalry, if they suddenly appeared at the most crucial point on the battlefield unexpectedly, achieving an unexpected beheading, could indeed tip the scales of a battle decisively.

Thanks to Canis, his card-flying skill grew ever more adept, paired with Death Claw’s air superiority power, in future battles, with aerial breakthroughs followed by card flight summoning, a hundred Holy War Army ironclad warriors descending from the sky onto the enemy commander’s head…

That scene would be so magnificent, Leon turned the crystal card between his fingers with affection, contentedly packed away the Nedy Card back into his pouch.
