Chapter 668: Chapter 311 Suppression_2

Chanting the spell words, personally activating the magic rune entwined on the magic crossbow arrow, the Athiasian mage swung it like a javelin.

——Boom!

The giant arrow shattered the sky like a meteor, guided by magic, roaring towards the winged helmet knight on horseback.

This time, Leon was unconcerned and ignored the incoming attack.

He was not fighting alone.

The black-bladed demon sword named Victory flashed again like a shield.

In Leon’s eyes, the crossbow arrow flying like a missile split in mid-air.

Leaping up to cut off the attack threatening her husband, Olivia landed and transformed into a streak of silver light, accompanying Leon like a Valkyrie.

Galloping swiftly on horseback, Leon raised his hand to recall the magic spear, azure lightning flared from the Gungnir staff body, the thunder spear rose up, knocking down an enemy charging from behind during its return.

The brief skirmish with the enemy’s rear mages passed in a flash, and the two armies charging head-on finally crashed together in a torrent of shouts and clashes.

As the two armies collided, knocking men and horses over, the Orland knights were taken aback by the prowess and weaponry of their enemies.

This fearless group charging against the Forbidden Guard and Orland knights turned out to be Knights of Valor, with swords glowing at the blade, slicing through steel armor with ease under their immense strength.

On an ordinary battlefield, to unexpectedly encounter such a powerful cavalry unit, even an army tenfold or twentyfold could hardly resist.

Fortunately, those now engaged in the bitter fight were the most valorous and strong knights recently descended from the tournament arena of the Orland Kingdom.

Leading the charge, Marcus, the commander of the kingdom’s Forbidden Army, was already like a mobile storm of slaughter, almost piercing through the enemy formation.

Activating the Boiling Heart of the Nedy Card, Leon led the Death Wing Knights of Avalon in hot pursuit.

Wielding the heavy Gungnir, he knocked an enemy off horseback, trampling over him. His gaze swept towards the strange longsword slashing ahead, recognizing the familiar weapon.

In front of the Great Temple at the Battle of Rolandena, he had seen the foreign knights transformed by blood demons wielding the same weapons.

As Kovis recognized their identity when the enemy drew swords, these magical cavalry of the Athias Empire, each foreign knight practically equipped with a Boiling Heart, were no less formidable.

With a flicker of red light, the enchanted magic spear blade of the Molten Flame Sword once again pierced through a disguised Athias magic cavalry posing as a Kantadar person, Leon’s calm peripheral vision surveyed as he fought.

Marcus, utilizing his unparalleled martial arts and his fierce dragon lizard mount, had already charged towards the Athias spellcasters.

Meanwhile, seemingly having no intention of further engagement in battle, the old guy Arsen at their rear, was actually escorting King Caso to retreat with the Ustato knights.

Only the Holy War Alliance knights from the Sobonitz domain followed the Avalon banner charging in, as if returning to the Undead War.

His gaze shifted back to the intense clash ahead as the rhythm of hacking and slashing on horseback drew his attention back to the front. In such fierce battles, there was no room for holding back. Seeing the increasingly intense magic surges and natural phenomena stirred up by the Athias spellcasters ahead, Leon raised his hand and threw another Nedy Card like a flying knife.

Amidst terrifying roars, the giant bear emerging from the ground light directly sent the surrounding Athias cavalry flying.

Callisto appeared, viciously pounding, and the Athias cavalrymen he knocked into the air became bloodied missiles, crashing through shops and residences along the streets, along with their horses.

In the originally chaotic and crowded street, it was as if a mobile large roller appeared, the beast roaring and shaking the earth, clearing a wide path for the charge of the Avalon knights.

Breaking through the obstruction of the Athias cavalry, Leon finally glimpsed the fierce battle behind.

Marcus was being held up by several formidable Black Knights, their spellcasters relentlessly casting various spells, compressing the solid air heavily; magic flames rising like flame throwers; blinding white arcs of electricity — continuously blasting the enchanted heavy armor on the Orland Great Knights and their dragon lizards, the deafening attack spells forced even the weighty Great Knight to retreat repeatedly.

At the site of the recent thunder strike, Baron Kellan from the opposing side of the street was already in a close fight with a powerful Athias mage.

The rolling cyclonic phenomena on the street, along with the unyielding gloomy clouds on the indistinct canopy above, were the work of that mage.

Blinding flashes of lightning surrounded the mage’s vicinity, forcing Kellan to evade frequently, and the invisible air blades released from around the mage crossed crisscross on the ground, splitting open surrounding residential buildings with a crash.

The flying debris and tiles were then waved down by that mage, like falling stars smashing towards the surrounding Orland army.

Relying solely on his powerful combat magic, this mage single-handedly deterred Baron Kellan and the Deer Family knights he led from making any advancement, while the dangerous elemental spells continuously tore apart the bodies of knights and soldiers.

Glancing sideways at the Vellozal knights who had remained uninvolved in the fight and hadn’t been attacked by either Orland or Athiasians, he saw them retreating their warhorses without turning back, making Leon curse inwardly, these guys truly stayed out of it.

But because nobody wanted to escalate the battle by adding an extra adversary, they could remain uninvolved in this fierce fight.

However, it was time to end it all.

“Olivia, Lokhak! Leave that Athias mage to you! Dead or alive, no matter!”

Watching as their Mage Killer charged towards the high-order Athias spellcasters, Leon tugged on the reins, commanding the Horror Mountain Bear and the knights behind him to flank the battleground where Marcus and the kingdom’s Forbidden Guard were fiercely engaged.

The tremors of beasts and pounding hooves paled the faces of those Athias spellcasters, distracted by the sudden approaching threat.

Leon’s eyes fixated on the infallible trajectory visible only to him, raising Gungnir high, the flashing thunder drew the enemy’s attention.

Kovis’ Object Control Magic silently hurled another Nedy Card into a hidden corner behind the enemy spellcasters.

Light particles gathered, Canis appeared in an instant, realizing his battlefield surroundings, recognizing the friend and foe upon seeing Leon and others charging on horseback, he took a step forward, drew his sword horizontally, and swung.

Blood gushed like a spring, a head flew skyward before it could scream.

Nearby, he swiftly beheaded an unsuspecting wizard who had his back turned, then stepped forward and slashed downwards, his longsword sweeping back and forth, killing two more.

In a flash, appearing close to the enemy, the powerful Knight of Valor, like a wolf among sheep, began the slaughter of the wizards before him.
