The Avalon Knight Order currently has all sixteen knight members, nine knight followers, eleven Guards Cavalry, and a few Light Cavalry, totaling forty cavalry and over a hundred Professional Soldiers.

With around one hundred and forty elite soldiers, they can ensure the current safety of the Baron Domain and can also respond swiftly to the Sealing Lord’s summons for expeditions.

If faced with a large-scale territorial invasion, this force can also conscript enough soldiers to form a thousand-strong army to resist the incursion.

Of course, Leon hopes not to encounter further conflicts in the short term, at least not before he has collected this year’s taxes from the territory.

Walking down the steps and passing a large duplex house with a backyard in the Central District, Leon sees Vanessa in front of the courtyard door, checking the new furniture brought in by carts from outside the town, and directing the workers to move wooden tables and chairs into the house.

Leon approaches to greet the busy Lady Wenreisa, then enters the building.

Inside, many old pieces of furniture have been cleared out.

Upstairs on the second floor, Miss Sali is directing servants in placing tables and chairs in suitable positions.

Bright sunlight streams in through windows where tattered curtains have been removed, rousing memories of a past life that give Leon both a headache and nostalgia.

Clearly, this is a classroom for students, and downstairs, there’s even a student canteen still being set up.

Not far in the lower district, a large house has been arranged as a dormitory for future students.

This is an educational institution being prepared within the territory, initially only teaching basic cultural subjects like the Felu and Urian languages, writing, and arithmetic.

He doesn’t have many people who can spare the time to act as teachers; currently, only Miss Sali and Lady Wenreisa by his side can truly devote themselves to education long-term.

However, education is not something that can be achieved overnight; once there are extra resources, more teachers can be recruited to gradually improve it.

Upon seeing the lord come in, Sali quickly steps forward, curtsies, and says, “Greetings, Mr.

Leon.

This place is still a mess, we’re not ready yet.”

“Don’t worry, I’m just passing by to take a look.

Do you have any urgent needs?” Leon asks her as he looks down.

“Most other supplies are fairly complete, but we are far short of writing slates, styluses, and, of course, we need plenty of real paper and pens.

Also, if we are to accommodate dozens of children dining here in the future, the kitchen will require more staff….

The dormitory also needs adults to supervise the children.

For now, Wendy and I can handle the few well-behaved children in your household, but if there are many more children to manage in the future, I’m afraid the two of us women won’t have enough authority.” Sali says with some concern, looking up at the tall lord before her, expressing her difficulties.

Leon nods and promises, “There’s still some time, and I will quickly provide the necessary teaching supplies and increase the staff for managing duties.

If anything is lacking in the future, just submit a request to Elena.”

Surveying the classroom, he’s taking these steps not just to cultivate literate youth in Avalon for the future.

There is immediate significant utility here, directly affecting the Baron’s Domain’s control over the towns and villages of Kantadar.

Not wanting to interrupt the busy Sali and others, Leon leaves the academy in preparation and continues toward the workshop buildings on the west side of the Central District.

Lately, Leon has striven to meet the needs of the Dwarf craftsmen stationed there, sparing no expense to send people around the territory to purchase materials necessary for repairing the workshops.

According to Lola, these workshops were originally built by Dwarf craftsmen under Aphrodite’s command, specifically serving the Mage Lords.

Although the Cursed Land’s space-time is chaotic, it doesn’t mean time doesn’t pass within.

Over a millennium outside, who knows how long it’s been eroded here, lacking maintenance and repairs; most of the equipment in the workshop has been severely damaged.

Reports from the Helarnian’s inspection indicated that the absence of some key materials, which are either unobtainable or unheard of in this era, essentially doomed most facilities as beyond repair, and they could only be dismantled and smelted down.

Fortunately, Leon’s expectations are not high.

Complex items like the Melter Demon and Molten Fire Gun, even a millennium ago required a complete Helarn workshop industry, were never something he aspired for.

Now, having a few Melter Technicians produce a batch of quality cold weaponry by hand is already fortunate.

Not long ago, he even asked the Dwarves to repair some Silver Mountain Crossbows that were damaged during training.

When Leon informed them that this was said to be a craftsmanship learned by the craftsmen of Silver Mountain City from the Helarnian, it greatly angered the Dwarves.

As per their viewpoint, if a Helarnian ever crafted such junk, it would be best for them to forever stay away from the steel furnace and iron anvil, lest they anger the spirit of Omlos.

The Dwarves clearly disdain crafting items that insult their skills in their eyes and vehemently refused to replicate the Silver Mountain Crossbow technology, instead recommending Leon a Rotating Repeating Crossbow that was a hundred times better.

But Leon realistically inquired about the materials and cost required for that thing, and the results temporarily shelved his unrealistic ideas.

However, at least spears, swords, and armor, the designs of the current era do not vastly differ from those a millennium ago, just a matter of craftsmanship and materials.

The Dwarves have no psychological burden of pride when forging these.

Leon thus transferred the order he intended for the kingdom’s Armament Master, to tailor armor for Olivia and Kovis, to the Dwarf technicians.

Not only for their armor, but Leon also ordered a brand new suit of armor from the Dwarves for himself, planning to replace the Serpent Pattern Plate Armor from Dawson he was currently wearing.
