Knights and Magic Wand -
Chapter 375 - 375 179 Thunder_4
375: Chapter 179: Thunder_4 375: Chapter 179: Thunder_4 Leon hesitated for a moment but decided not to inform the two of the truth for the time being.
After all, that identity wasn’t Lola’s true wish.
There was no great need to rashly shake the worldviews of Azeryan and Lokhak.
…Taking the two upstairs, he didn’t see Lola or any signs of her after going through several floors, so Leon headed straight for the top floor.
Climbing to the workshop, he sensed a massive, tangible energy vortex above their heads; and at the staircase leading to the top tower, everyone could hear the increasingly clear howling of the wind.
This is something they couldn’t hear at the base of the tower, as if those tumultuous sounds were completely confined within a certain range.
“You two, don’t go up just yet, have a seat here and wait for a bit, I’ll go check out the situation,” Leon turned and instructed.
The two nodded.
Taking a couple of steps up, Leon felt impulsively moved and suddenly looked back to warn them, “It’s okay to look at the other stuff, but don’t touch those little figurines in the cabinet, those are…
Lady Aphrodite’s precious relics.”
“Hey, don’t worry, we’re not clumsy little devils who touch everything everywhere,” Lokhak spread his hands.
Hit head-on by Lokhak’s inadvertent blunt words, Leon’s face turned awkward…
Alright, fine, he is the clumsy little devil then.
He still remembered, quite by accident, discovering the “lifelike” detail of those doll carvings.
He always felt that if others learned of Lady Aphrodite’s peculiar tastes through these relics, it would be quite disrespectful to her.
After all, Leon was still praying that when his parents on Earth would sort through his “belongings,” they would never inspect his computer and phone…
…
“Lola!”
Shouting loudly, Leon entered the range of the Magic Technique amidst roaring winds, his black hair in disarray and the tails of his dress coat whipping behind him as the wind blew.
Shielding his brow and squinting against the wind, he made his way up the tower and realized that the dome of the top tower, like a spiral hatch, had a huge skylight opened.
And in the center of the field, floating in mid-air, was a spherical steel object.
Visible sparks of lightning bounced off the sphere, and whenever stray energy pulses tried to escape, they were eerily pulled back in by an invisible force and slammed back into the steel ball.
Lola’s white Pope Robe and the girl’s snow-white hair fluttered in the Gale, and she retrieved her hands from behind her back.
She twirled the Magic Wand that had been casually resting against her lower back, brought it back in a proper grip, and lightly tapped the floor with the tip of the wand.
Numerous complex Arrays floating all around suddenly converged toward the center.
Leon felt the scene before him was as if a black-and-white picture was whooshing and flickering rapidly.
Rings of black and white alternated, shrinking back to the surface of the steel ball above.
The Gale and the cyclone’s vortex dissipated instantly, and Leon lowered his hand that was shielding his eyes from the sun.
“You’re here.
Are you ready to start lessons today?” Lola turned around, a faint hint of pleasure brimming in her eyes, with no sign of being disturbed.
“Thunder was striking outside the tower, scaring quite a few people, I came to see what was going on.”
Leon straightened his hair, which had been blown into a mess, and looked towards the steel ball that was now covered in Demon Runes behind Miss Mage.
“This commotion…
Are you conducting some kind of Magic experiment?” Leon walked over, curious.
Lola waved her Golden Wand to disperse it and opened her hands, “Of course, I’m making a Magic Wand for you.”
“This Magic Wand…
why is it a ball?”
Leon looked perplexedly at the gleaming steel sphere.
“It’s currently just empowering the material.
The final shaping will happen at the last stage.
Haven’t you looked closely at alchemy’s smelting science content?
For high-rank Spellcasters who completely master the element, material merging in a high-temperature, high-pressure forge can be done effortlessly without the need for equipment assistance.”
Lola gestured with a shake of her empty hand, “Otherwise, did you really think I was going to hammer out a Magic Wand for you?”
Leon scratched his head, having only a limited understanding of Magic as he had learned it out of need for combat and conflict, focusing more on Elemental Studies and Magic Technique Study, with very little understanding of alchemy…
Especially the content on alchemy seemed more sleep-inducing than the other two.
“Squat down a bit.” Lola walked in front of him and beckoned.
By now, Leon was used to this and squatted as told.
Lola’s hands reached up to his windblown hair, her fingers gently running through it.
Slight electric currents and warmth straightened out Leon’s hair strand by strand.
After personally fixing his handsome hairstyle, Lola lightly patted Leon’s head, nodded with satisfaction, and stepped back.
Leon touched his hair, feeling intrigued.
Well then, not only is she a walking humanoid industrial mother machine, but the little teacher’s also got styling hands.
But being groomed by Lola felt quite comfortable.
Was this how Little Gede felt when he petted him?
“Shall we go, don’t you want those two kids to meet me?” Lola then moved towards the stairs, naturally sensing the few visitors here.
“Are we not continuing?
You seemed busy just now, shall we come another day?” Leon followed and asked.
“No worries, today’s progress stops here.
Maintaining my presence with this leyline is strenuous; I’ve been pushing it to its limits nearly every day for your Magic Wand.
The land under our feet deserves some rest too.” Lola fluttered her sleeves.
Walking down the stairs, Leon couldn’t resist looking back at the still sphere again.
He wondered what exactly Lola intended to craft for him.
Do Mages always make such a fuss when crafting Magic Wands?
