252: Chapter 129: Battle of Longka – Completed (Chongjiang)_3 252: Chapter 129: Battle of Longka – Completed (Chongjiang)_3 Two Wolf Family’s Internal Knights, taken aback, pulled on the reins and maneuvered their horses to guard in front of the Young Master, attacking the red-robed warrior who had unknowingly infiltrated the central army with their riding spears.

As he watched the knight blocking his path, Galron sighed regretfully in his heart, realizing that his emergence had been too brief…

The spear blade shifted targets, and the ancient guard, before dissipating, strove to slash at the nearest enemy.

The ancient warrior and the Internal Knight clashed in mid-air, creating a deafening boom.

The searing spear blade burned through steel, embedding deeply into the enemy’s riding spear, pressing down with unrelenting force, splitting the blade into the plate armor of the chest of the charging Wolf Family knight, knocking him from his horse in the head-on collision.

Simultaneously, the other Internal Knight’s spear tip struck the red-robed enemy who had taken down his comrade.

However, as soon as the spear tip touched the armor, the slightly delayed blunt sensation suddenly vanished, as if piercing a phantom.

“Witchcraft?!”

Canis watched the Internal Knight charging out from the dispersing miasma, unable to react quickly enough to discern if the brief combat was an illusion, when he heard a roar coming from diagonally to the right.

Through the gap opened by the Flame Sun Guard, Leon, riding solo and wielding his shield, deflected lances coming from the left as he charged towards Canis.

The Wuzhui Warhorse broke into a sprint, and the Silver-armored Knight roared, raising his spear tip to attack the commanding enemy under the Wolf Banner.

“Excellent!”

Canis maneuvered the shaft in his hand, aiming likewise at the enemy chief adorned with the Winged Helmet.

The hefty steel-forged riding spears struck their targets almost instantly.

—Boom!!!

Racing iron-clad warhorses passed by each other, and the two heavily armored figures collided with a loud crash, both hurtling off their horsebacks.

With his chest armor caved in, Leon felt as though he had been hit by a truck, and despite the several layers of protective armor damping the terrifying force, his riding spear still flew from his grip due to the collision.

Hurriedly adjusting his posture before landing, his back slammed into the ground with a clang of heavy armor.

Enduring the dull pain in his chest, blood seeping between his teeth, Leon stabilized himself, not daring to pause.

He rolled aside to dodge the enemy rider’s attack, as several spears narrowly missed his shoulders.

Behind him, the cavalry, fearing they might trample the fallen Young Master, split to pass him on both sides.

The unstoppable charging army immediately divided the cavalry into two torrents that thundered past the two knights fallen in the center.

Ditching the cumbersome Kite Shield from his left arm, Leon pushed himself up while drawing his long sword.

Holding the hilt in one hand and the blade in the other, he ran straight at the likewise rising Wolf Family knight, his sword poised like a short spear, his steel boots not missing a beat.

With the enemy chief isolated, slaying the leader was the only path to victory at this moment.

“Canis!” Leon recalled his opponent’s name.

Raising his visor to spit out the blood in his mouth, Canis gripped his sword.

Although the Wolf Family Young Master did not know his opponent’s name, he recognized the splendid Winged Helmet armor and laughed as he charged to meet him.

Before the cavalry could turn around to come to their rescue, the two generals only saw each other in their eyes.

Leon’s blade swiftly thrust toward the gap in Canis’s visor.

The Wolf Family Young Master raised his sword to block, sidestepped, and counter-struck with the pommel like a war hammer toward the Winged Helmet Knight’s face.

Yet, to Leon, who was accustomed to Olivia’s swift swordsmanship, his enemy’s counterattack seemed sluggish.

With a mere tilt of his head, he dodged Canis’s blow.

Seizing the moment, he threw his whole upper body forward with all the strength of a knight in battle.

Bang!

Metal clashed, deafening.

In the struggle between the Knights of Valor, the heavy swords bit into each other, clashing like bludgeons.

Amidst bursts of giant force, weapons and steel armor collided, creating thunderous sonic booms, and the ground beneath the battling knights erupted in clouds of dust.

Encased in solid armor, they grappled with raw power and skill.

The blade had no dazzling fancy maneuvers, only the barbaric entanglement of half-sword technique, and a relentless search for opportunities to strike at the gaps in the opponent’s face armor and the joints under their arms.

Wolfenhol’s heavy cavalry could not stop their charge; their divided ranks attacked the shield-bearing Black Robed Guards and the melee infantry formation from left and right.

With unstoppable momentum, they shattered Longka’s fragile defenses.

Iron hooves thundered into the crowd, and even the berserk shield guards, holding hammers, were struck by the cavalry and spat blood as they were smashed backward into their comrades.

The guards defended Kovis’s battle flag, slowly retreating under the cavalry’s overwhelming charge.

Positioned in the central army, the Wolf Family’s Internal Knights finally managed to halt their horses’ momentum.

They urgently shouted commands to gather the nearby cavalry to turn around and support the Young Master who was dueling with enemy generals in the field behind.

Canis, amidst the battle, spotted his cavalry turning their horses toward him and felt a firm grip on victory.

“Surrender, Knight of the Thorny Flower!”

During a moment of sword pressure, he sneered and roared repeatedly, “I might spare your life!”

Seizing the fleeting relaxation in his opponent’s prideful moment, Leon saw the opportunity and silently turned his sword, unleashing a powerful Magic Shock.

The scant power within him transformed into the Wind Breath Hammer, blowing Canis’s large armored body away with a clattering crash and tumble.

Leon pursued with his sword raised.

However, he saw that his opponent seemed unshaken by the impact, quickly using his sword to push himself up and block another strike.

The indented surface of the wolf pattern plate armor glowed with a cover of blue Demon Runes and then slowly faded.

Canis bellowed out in anger, “Another damned witchcraft!

So you’re a wizard of the Farolis Family?”

Listening to the dense pounding of hooves behind, Leon responded with a slashing counterattack.

He swung his sword again, entangling with his enemy.

But he understood that he had indeed underestimated the persistence of the Gunnar Family’s knight.

The opponent’s martial arts were not much weaker than Baron Dawson when he had activated the Boiling Heart.

Even with the boost from the Netti Card’s Magic Power that hadn’t dissipated, he still couldn’t settle the outcome with his foe in a short time.

Unable to defeat the enemy general…

The cavalry reinforcements behind him would cross the tens of meters gap in about ten seconds.

With all his cards laid out, Leon’s spirits plunged.

But as he steeled himself for a desperate struggle in silence, a set of hoofbeats from another direction reached his ears, even though they were muffled by his stifling helmet.

With the fierce force of his boiling strength, Leon kicked out his steel boots and, with his sword crossed, struck Canis, causing him to slide on his feet through the mud, carving two long indents.

Drenched in sweat, he seized this brief respite to glance sideways through the gap in his face armor.

A hurried look revealed that fewer than ten of his own cavalry, led by Knight Redo, had circled around the hedgehog-like spear formation of the Wolf Domain’s main army and were charging toward this location.

The heavy cavalry squad’s surprise attack on the flank collided with the incoming Wolf Domain cavalry.

The hastily arriving reinforcements did not manage to form an effective formation to counter the surprise forces.

…Turning his head back, Leon, relieved, fully trusted his comrades to handle the enemy.

Even though still overwhelmingly outnumbered.

Even though those Wolf Domain cavalry just disengaged from the melee would only be delayed briefly.

But that was enough; he no longer doubted his victory.

Because behind him, a petite figure on a white horse with a single spear, riding out of formation and charging forward.

And before the enemy’s cavalry could regroup to provide reinforcements.

Defeating the Wolf Domain knight in front of him wouldn’t be a too difficult challenge for Olivia.

“The words from earlier.

I return them, Canis.”

Leon, with both hands on his sword, and his voice resonant from beneath his face armor, echoed back the same threat, “You have been defeated, surrender, and I will spare your life!”
