Chapter 251 - 251 129 Battle of Longka - Completed Chongjiang _2

251: Chapter 129: Battle of Longka – Completed (Chongjiang) _2 251: Chapter 129: Battle of Longka – Completed (Chongjiang) _2 Amidst the chaotic battlefield, he made a judgment in the few breaths that remained.

The Duwana people were still locked in fierce combat with the Wolfenhol People…

Platon and Selva were combining forces to strike at the elite of the Wolf Territory Central Army…

Ahead, the Infantry Formation led by the Wolf Family Knight of Valor could easily crush their own Central Army that had barely managed to encircle the foe with allied troops.

On the right, the heavy cavalry of the Wolf Territory could topple any of their units with a charge, even the well-arrayed Duwana Spear Formation, let alone since the Duwana people were already tightly restrained by enemy infantry.

The grim situation, the life and death of the entire army, still seemed overwhelmingly disadvantageous.

Leon smiled bitterly in his heart; if not for the recent preparations for territorial defense, the militia from his three territories would have already collapsed in the first wave of impact.

Of course, using conscripted soldiers to fight the elite of the Wolf Family, the weak against the strong, and the few against the many, if it were easy, why would heroes have been remembered throughout history?

Memories from a former life of ancient and modern battles reminded Leon that the only way to win under such conditions was just one.

He gazed at the Wolf Family cavalry that was about to charge, his eyes focused on the Wolf Banner representing the Gunnar Family.

There was only one chance to try, more accurately…

just a few seconds.

With his left hand holding the shield lowering, he drew the silver Netti Card from the leather case at his waist and turned to say, “Kovis, give me magic power.”

The young boy immediately beside him took off his hand armor and placed two fingers on Leon’s forehead.

As Kovis struggled to maintain the Boiling Heart powering the four of them, he closed his eyes and transferred almost all his magic power to his lord at quickest speed.

Leaving just enough energy to ensure bodily movement and clear consciousness, the young man’s face, drenched in sweat, tensed under his faceplate; his fingers withdrew as he took deep breaths.

“May you return victorious.”

For the safety of his friend and lord, Kovis silently prayed to the supreme Holy Sun for the first time in his heart.

“Protect the flag, meet the enemy here,” Leon commanded to hold positions as he rushed away from the nearby shield wall, unhesitatingly heading towards the distant Heavy Cavalry Formation alone on horseback.

Canis, who was launching a charge from afar, looked through the gap between the frontline cavalry with some surprise at the lone Silver-armored Knight charging towards him.

Charging alone?

Did he think he was a Great Knight of the Kingdom?

The young master of the Wolf Family wondered for a moment, then decided not to ponder whether the opponent’s act was brave or a suicidal move of despair.

This was not the arena for a fair duel.

On a battlefield where life and death hung in the balance, no matter how much courage the opposing side showed, facing such a foolish charge towards his troops, Canis would mercilessly drown him with the Wolf Pack.

Leveling his Riding Spear, the young master of the Wolf Family shouted a powerful battle cry.

More than fifty neatly arranged heavy cavalry galloped, their long spears and riding spears shifting from carried to leveled positions, held by the riders in between their arms as they charged like an iron wall at high speed.

The dry land trembled unceasingly under the dozens of tons of force trampling over it, hundreds of horseshoes kicking up dust as the thunderous sound drummed the ground like epic drumbeats.

From the sky, the black mass of charging cavalry resembled a wave about to crash, and blocking them was but a silver speck futilely against the tide, the charging troops not even considering the lone rider before them, their real target the chaotic Longka Infantry behind him.

Standing firm on the jostling horseback, Leon struggled to contain the abundant power inside him that was even starting to seep out.

The borrowed magic power surged restlessly under the influence of the Netti Card in his body.

He locked his gaze firmly on the seemingly unstoppable Heavy Cavalry Formation.

Twenty meters.

Close enough, Leon activated the magic power, triggering the Silver Token clutched between his fingers behind the shield.

The Netti Card transformed into a torrent of energy, reconstructing the Wandering Souls residing within it upon the ground trampled by the warhorse.

Facing the enemy troops within arms’ reach, Leon called out loudly, “Galron, charge with me!”

The burly Flame Sun Guard appeared from the brilliance of ancient magic.

The eyes beneath that magnificent battle helm, in a moment that seemed like time itself had frozen, discerned the enemy’s position.

The steel boots beneath the shin armor pressed heavily into the ground, which exploded under the impact, sending earth and stones flying as fissures and collapses occurred simultaneously; the ancient warrior, clad in armor, dashed past his current lord with the sound of tearing air, sprinting faster than the warhorses into the midst of the incoming Heavy Cavalry Formation.

Swinging his Blazing Fire Long Spear, Galron delivered a heavy horizontal blow.

—BOOM!!

Rolling hot winds accompanied by an unmatched shockwave flipped the leading cavalrymen over, both horse and rider.

The flood of Iron Cavalry was artificially split open by a diversion in its center.

The fiery spear blade sliced through the thick neck of a warhorse in front, severing the armored rider atop it into two halves.

The carcass of the horse flew sideways by inertia, the rider’s upper half of the body not yet fallen, showed a charred cross-section and the edges of the armor glowing red-hot from the heat of the spear blade.

With the momentum of his swinging Long Spear unspent, the Flame Sun Guard pulled back the blade and, with a sideways step, delivered a reverse slash at the ensuing cavalryman.

In his eyes, the exceedingly slow spear tips couldn’t even touch the Guard’s armor, as the Blazing Blade cut through the horse’s legs.

The warhorse screamed in pain, the rider thrown forward as his mount toppled.

But having struck down two riders, Galron sensed that the magic sustaining his Spiritual Body had only a few moments left and instantly spotted the Plate Armor Knight protected at the center of the formation, then promptly leaped forward, soaring through the air.
