Chapter 985 - 985 973

Chapter 985: 973 Chapter 985: 973 At a classmate’s birthday party, amidst the intertwining light and shadows, Muria handled each classmate who came up to chat and some adults who were keen on making his acquaintance with ease and composure.

In this social gathering hinged on familial ties but driven by interest, Muria once again witnessed the influence of the federation’s top Great families,

Because what was supposed to be a birthday celebration for his classmate Niluo had turned into his own main stage, he became the protagonist of the event. Almost every adult who learned of his identity wanted to engage him in conversation, hoping to leave a favorable impression.

Some parents who came with their daughters even pushed them in front of him, their intentions quite clear. They all wanted to forge connections with the influential Clan of the federation.

A few hours later, the party, ostensibly a birthday celebration but fraught with vested interests, came to an end as the night had fallen completely.

“Feeling proud of yourself, aren’t you, young master? Today you stole the show, and everyone was trying to ingratiate themselves with you,”

A maroon sports car pulled up in front of Muria, and from the passenger seat, a girl with fiery red hair to match the car’s popped her head out.

“What’s there to be proud of?” Muria looked at the girl trying to verbally strike at him with a surprised expression, “I’ve been through this several times every month, I’m already used to it. What about you? Haven’t you experienced something like this?”

“You…” The girl was at a loss for words, her face showing embarrassment before she withdrew into the car, “Hmph!”

“Ah, it’s Jelos. Didn’t your mother come to pick you up? If not, I can take you along the way,” said a middle-aged man with a friendly appearance from the driver’s seat of the car, turning his head and smiling at Muria.

“No need, I still have some things to do and will head back later,” Muria declined the kind neighborly uncle’s offer.

“Alright then, remember to get home early.” The car quickly started up again, and before leaving, Hillman in the passenger seat gave Muria a look that said ‘smart move.’

Afterward, Muria turned down offers from more than a dozen guests who wanted to take him home, then casually picked a street and wandered aimlessly through this metropolis.

“Hmm!” After walking a few blocks, Muria noticed that no one was approaching him to strike up a conversation. He pondered for a moment, then walked a little further, and during this distance, his complexion gradually became flushed, a scent of alcohol began to emanate from him, and his steps staggered.

At this moment, he looked like a young man who got drunk after a social gathering with classmates.

“Now I must look like a very tempting prey!” Muria swayed, masquerading as a drunken youth, while secretly mulling over his plan. This was a fishing method he had come up with after attending a class on Different Species, and today was his first experiment with it.

As the night grew thicker, pedestrians on the streets and vehicles on the roads gradually dwindled, and the bustling city began to quiet down, while Muria was still staggering along the streets.

“Damn, I haven’t caught a single fish, and the appeal of my bait isn’t strong enough,” Muria looked up at the sky and then checked the time, “Let’s just head straight home then!”

Holding a sliver of hope, Muria continued walking toward his home, but what happened next took him by considerable surprise.

“Little brother, why are you walking alone on the streets so late?” No more than a few moments after she entered Muria’s perceptual range, a voluptuous figure approached him, slinging an arm around him, and a soft voice reached his ear, the warm breath tickling the youth’s ear provocatively.

“Hm? Who are you?” Muria turned his head, his face showing confusion as he looked at the tall woman embracing his arm, a mature woman with delicate features and a voluptuous figure, like a ripe peach glistening seductively.

“Me? I’m just a kindhearted big sister! Did you drink too much at a gathering with friends?”

“Drunk? I’m not drunk, I can still drink,” Muria said with a look of dissatisfaction upon hearing the woman’s words, then continued to protest like a boy who liked to show off.

“You’re already drunk, little brother. Come on, tell sister where your home is, and I’ll take you there,” said the woman with violet hair, her smile growing wider as she inhaled the strong scent of alcohol mixed with the scent of life from Muria.

“Go home? Where is my home?” The youth, reeking of alcohol, looked up and around, his expression growing even more perplexed.

“It looks like you drank too much, little brother. Since that’s the case, why not stay over at my place tonight?” The sickly sweet aroma lingered around Muria’s nose, clouding his mind even further, as a fire ignited in his abdomen.

“Okay!” With an increasingly noticeable blush on his face that seemed to surrender to a certain charm, the youth nodded.

“Get in my car, I’ll take you to my place.” The woman, supporting the youth with limp feet, led him to an ordinary business sedan.

The black-haired boy, who seemed groggy, lay down on the back seat of the sedan, looking deliciously edible. The moment he lay down, a soft body pounced on him, pressing two soft mounds against his chest.

Muria squinted, trying to see clearly what, or who had pounced on her. It was a girl who bore a resemblance to the mature woman who had already settled into the passenger seat, as if they might be sisters.

At that moment, the beautiful girl who fell upon him sniffed around his neck, her eyes filled with greed and longing, a glistening drool spilling over her lips.

“Smells like it might be pretty tasty,” the girl said to her sister, “You seem to have found quite a catch this time.”

“Of course,” the woman, who now weaved the car rapidly through the streets, replied with a smile of pride after hearing her sister’s words. Then she turned back to see her sister, who seemed ready to bite, and issued a warning,

“Don’t dine here; it’s not safe. We’ll talk about it when we get home.”

“I got it!” The girl, her eyes already showing signs of red, let go of Muria unwillingly, then wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth and sat up straight again.

Soon, the sedan entered the edge of the city and into a very ordinary, rundown neighborhood. When the car came to a stop, the purple-haired girl couldn’t wait to pick up the boy who had fallen asleep and rushed into one of the tube-shaped apartment buildings.

“Typical child, unable to control their appetite!” The purple-haired mature woman said with a resigned smile as she walked out of the car and watched her sister carry Muria, who was about her height.

Bang!

After the purple-haired girl opened the rusty security door, she threw Muria mercilessly onto the hard floor, producing a dull thud.

“Where am I?” Muria, who had fallen to the ground, grimaced, then sat up, rubbing the back of his head, and looked at the purple-haired woman entering the door.

“Little brother, did you forget? You drank too much, forgot your way home, so your sister brought you back here,”

“Bang!” The purple-haired woman said as she closed the security door behind her and then turned to Muria with a smile that was slowly becoming more sinister, “Now we can do something meaningful.”

“What meaningful thing?” The boy watched the two pretty women, both young and old, as their pupils turned a deep scarlet, and he staggered backwards with his feet.

“Of course, it’s time to dine!” the girl, now with eyes completely crimson, drooled continuously as she gazed hungrily at Muria.

“Be a good little brother, we’ll be gentle and give you a quick end. Of course, if you want to scream and shout, feel free; this room has been specially treated, and no matter how much you yell, no one outside will hear it.”

“Really, well then I’m relieved,” Muria said, smiling at the purple-haired girl who was eagerly pouncing on him.

“Bang!”

The bullet, inlaid with purple patterns, entered the girl’s forehead and instantly exploded, shattering bone and splashing pale brain matter every which way, turning what was a somewhat tantalizing scene into one of horror.

“You…” The purple-haired mature woman, seeing the boy stand up with a white-and-purple patterned gun in his hand, flashed an astonished look, and then her face filled with rage.

“Blow their head off and they’re dead for sure. Low-tier ghouls, what trash!” Muria, who instantly pulled out his pistol and blew off the girl’s head, glanced at the headless corpse on the floor and said with dissatisfaction.

“A Star Armor Master! Heh,” the mature female ghoul, whose relative had been blown away with a single shot, twisted her face into a grotesque smile, “You’ve got guts, kid, trying to imitate those white-clad anglers before your hair’s even fully grown. You’re courting death!”

“My bait lured out you two ghoul sisters quite successfully, didn’t it?” Muria said with a smile, while also making a mental note of the term “white-clad.”

“Being a hunter, are you ready to be eaten by your prey, little brother?” The vile-looking mature female ghoul’s clothes burst open, revealing ten tentacles, gleaming with dark red light, piercing through her body and dancing behind her, making her seem even more demonic.

“I’ve never made such preparations,” Muria declared, activating his Star Armor. The Young Phoenix Star Armor assembly emerged, enveloping his body bit by bit.

“Young Phoenix Star Armor? A member of the Douglas family, it seems I’ve come across a future big figure today!” The mature female ghoul’s smile turned perverse upon seeing the distinctive Star Armor over Muria’s body.

“Once I tear open your Star Armor, I’ll get to taste the difference between the flesh of a member of a great family and ordinary people. I can’t wait!”
