Chapter 974: Chapter 962: The Ferocious Beast Legion Chapter 974: Chapter 962: The Ferocious Beast Legion “Shifanlin, descend!”

Muria’s outstretched hand touched the head of the young pup imprisoned in the cage. Thus, a sphere of light released by his true self, from the palm of his hand, merged into the head of this young pup.

In the heart of the reincarnated body, having successfully released the sphere of light without causing any backlash from the world rules, the true self slowly closed his eyes and fell back into slumber.

“This should be a success!” Muria stood up and looked at the black pup in the cage that had fallen into sleep due to a large amount of anesthetics. Stroking his chin, a look of expectation appeared in his eyes. If his attempt this time was successful, then he would no longer need to worry about the problems of his minions.

Waiting for the effects of the anesthesia to wear off, Muria sat at his desk and began studying. Indeed, the amount of knowledge he now possessed allowed him to call himself a mobile library, but that did not mean he did not need to absorb new knowledge.

As an entity who had attained eternal life, power could ensure that he enjoyed eternal life, but knowledge could enhance his foundation, enabling him to gain even greater power—knowledge is power, it isn’t just a saying.

In Muria’s eyes, the knowledge of the Star Armor World was also of great benefit to him, yielding a rich harvest. After all, due to the presence of Star Armors, this world’s knowledge of metal smelting and energy conduction was quite unique.

This is the most radiant fruit of wisdom borne out of a world’s nurtured civilization, second only in value to the source power granted by the world.

If an entity could attain omniscience, then it could achieve omnipotence. For such an entity, gaining power would be just a trivial matter. However, such an existence would forever remain theoretical.

“It’s time for the second modification of the cultivation method I created myself!” Muria, immersed in a book on energy theory, contemplated silently.

Due to the lessons from the previous world, although Muria had awakened his consciousness while still in his mother’s womb and had tailored for himself the most basic set of breathing methods for circulating blood and Qi, he did not engage in cultivation.

Because if he were to establish too strong a foundation while still in the womb, it would be his mother who suffered. Practicing breathing methods would inevitably lead to difficult labor or nutritional deficiencies for his mother.

Therefore, Muria began cultivating only after he was normally born. However, he discovered that although the rules of this world did not enhance or restrict the training of the physique, strengthening the body through training still required certain things to supplement it.

Merely by supplementing nutrition and circulating blood and Qi, the enhancement to the physique was very limited. Thus, although Muria had been in this world for seven years, he had only trained his body to the limit of what a normal person could achieve.

“The limits of a normal person are far from those of a Star Armor Master!” Muria sighed inwardly. He had a rough understanding of the physical strength of Star Armor Masters through his own mother, Susanna.

Because he was dissatisfied with Susanna treating him as a pillow, Muria, claiming he had grown up, requested separate living quarters from her.

But his request was firmly rejected by his mother, who solidified Muria’s status as her pillow and also forcefully suppressed his rebellion with her power.

Indeed, Muria had planned to sneak away after Susanna fell asleep and persist long-term, so he would naturally have his own private space.

But when Muria tried to put his idea into action, he found he couldn’t even manage the first step; he couldn’t break free from his mother’s grasp.

Susanna’s physical strength, even in an unconscious state, was able to completely overpower Muria, which just goes to show that the physique of a Star Armor Master is also of an extraordinary caliber.

However, Star Armor Masters are not primarily focused on honing their bodies. Their combat strength mainly relies on their Star Armor. The growth of their physique comes merely from the guidance of energy radiating from the Star Armor, nourishing the Master over time.

And yet, a single Star Armor Master possessing such an extraordinary body allows for many extrapolations.

While Muria was pondering, a low, whimpering growl sounded. Muria looked in the direction of the noise and saw the black pup imprisoned in the cage, groggily opening its eyes and staggeringly standing up.

“Shifanlin!” Muria approached the young pup and called out the name of his weakest legendary minion.

“Howl!” Hearing Muria’s call, the pup with a bewildered look in its eyes looked up at the young child in front of it and, after a moment, obediently lowered its body, displaying a posture of submission.

“Good dog!” Seeing the dog’s stance, Muria broke into a smile, knowing his attempt had succeeded!

“Shifanlin, there’s no need to be too surprised. Your current state is because I have extracted your consciousness and infused it into this body of yours.”

Muria looked at the Black Dog at his feet, bewildered, and explained to ease its turmoil, for it had yet to understand the situation, “Don’t worry, your true form is still within my Semi Plane; right now, it’s merely that your consciousness has been temporarily transferred by me.”

With that said, Muria opened the cage and let Shifanlin out. Shifanlin, who had once helped Muria survive a world, now controlled its incredibly weak body and staggered out.

“For this period, I will create a set of cultivation methods for you, and I will also provide enough resources. You must become strong for me as quickly as possible!” Muria instructed Shifanlin. Compared to humans, pets like cats and dogs are less conspicuous, and there is no inconvenience in having them around.

“Bark!” Hearing Muria’s command, Shifanlin responded with a bark, indicating its understanding.

“Cultivate well; this is the promise I am fulfilling for you. From now on, you can continue to grow stronger. By the time this world ends, you might gain benefits beyond your imagination and may solve the problems of your original body,” Muria said.

“Bark!” Shifanlin barked again, its tail wagging happily behind it.

“Silly dog!” Muria chided with a smile, “Go outside and guard the door; don’t disturb me while I read! Protecting me is your sole purpose from now on!”

Having received Muria’s command, Shifanlin scampered out of the room on its short stubby legs, swaying from side to side, and then sat squat by the door, vigilantly scrutinizing everyone who passed by Muria’s door.

“Just one dog is not enough; I still need to raise some other animals!” Muria stroked his chin. In his Semi Plane, a host of legends were still in slumber.

With the successful example of Shifanlin before him, he naturally could not let them continue to slumber. It was time to bring their consciousnesses into action.

“My predictions were not wrong; the worlds have no defense mechanisms against consciousness!”

Muria had long known that each world would fiercely reject high-energy beings not from the world itself, and would impose rule-level suppression on all foreign beings forced into the world’s interior.

Even in a top-tier large world like the Erathia World, external powerhouses were greatly unwelcome. The world would only tolerate strong beings that were nurtured within its own native soil.

However, Muria concluded through the Heavenly Demon Secret Technique that what the world rejected was the power held by those otherworldly high-energy creatures, as it could cause destruction to the native world; hence, the suppression.

If it was just the descent of consciousness, the world probably wouldn’t react much. When Muria used a part of the Sky Demon Secret Art to strip his minions’ consciousness and successfully merged it into a local creature, he knew he was right.

Of course, such a pure descent of consciousness could not be compared to his use of the complete Sky Demon Secret Technique. The descent using the Sky Demon Secret Art was a form of rebirth, with the body and even the soul constructed to be in complete harmony with Muria.

What Shifanlin experienced, this type of consciousness descent, could be described as possession, and it was merely on the level of consciousness; Shifanlin forcibly merged with the soul of that pup, devouring its consciousness. Compared to the descent technique, the difference was stark.

Even so, for a creature like Shifanlin, which had exhausted its potential at Legendary Third Rank, to have its consciousness descend upon an otherworldly creature was already a tremendous opportunity.

Three years.

“Jelos, you’re about to turn ten years old. What would you like as a birthday gift?” Susanna asked, looking at her increasingly handsome son with a smile at the dinner table, a hint of reluctance flashing in her eyes.

Soon, her son would be going off to school in another city and might have to part ways with her.

“I would like a golden eagle from the Pamir Plateau as my birthday present!” Muria pondered for a while, then answered.

“You already have so many pets; aren’t you satisfied yet?” Susanna asked somewhat helplessly, glancing towards the side of the dining table.

There, three dogs and four cats feasted together. These seven cats and dogs were all pets her son had raised over the years. They were incredibly large, but thankfully, they were exceptionally well-behaved and obedient, capable of doing almost anything they were told.

However, these were not all the pets her son had raised; these were just a few that were allowed in the room to eat with their owner. There were other large beasts that were not suitable for entering the room to dine with their master.
