Chapter 882 - 882 870 Death is a luxury for you
Chapter 882: Chapter 870: Death is a luxury for you Chapter 882: Chapter 870: Death is a luxury for you “Howl!” Under the thick scent of blood, the giant tiger ridden by the villain Kurt couldn’t help but bend its limbs, clamping its tail between its hind legs, letting out a deep, whimpering sound.
“M-Master!” His own murderous aura completely crushed, and under the entwining of the dark red blood, he felt like he was trapped in a large lump of amber. In this moment, Kurt knew he had provoked an existence he should not have offended. Cold sweat dripped down his ugly and fierce face, and he forced out an unsightly smile, “Spare my life!”
“Hmm?” The butcher, wielding a pig-slaughtering knife, slowly approached the villain, “What did you say? I didn’t hear you clearly.”
“Master, spare my life!” Under the heavy pressure of blood, the villain fell off his mount, but quickly knelt on the ground, banging his head heavily on the stone pavement.
“Weren’t you acting quite arrogant towards my daughter just now? Why aren’t you arrogant anymore? Continue!”
“Master, I was blind, and I frightened your daughter. I am willing to compensate and apologize. Please let me go!” The villain’s head banged heavily on the stone pavement, a stark contrast to his arrogant stance from before when facing Aeolus.
“If apologies worked, what would we need swords for?” The butcher sneered, “If you could stand up to me till the end, I’d look up to you. But this act of bullying the weak and fearing the strong, just makes me want to puke!”
“You really won’t let me go?” As the butcher drew near, the villain raised his head, displaying a vicious look in his eyes.
“Yes, that’s the spirit. Come on, if you want to resist, I’ll give you the chance.” The butcher, holding the pig-slaughtering knife, also revealed an even more ferocious smile. The blood swarming around him solidified into one grotesque head after another, emitting desperate howls; these heads faintly coalesced into the forms of powerful demons.
These were all demons he had personally butchered. The blood aura on his body, was accumulated over twenty years ago, when he participated in the sweep war across the Senapus Subcontinent, killing with every strike. He was a holy knight, but was granted the title of Demon Butcher by Xena Pus.
“I… I do not dare.” Initially aroused by despair, the fierce intent within the villain dissipated upon meeting the butcher’s gaze, and the nascent spirit of resistance vanished instantaneously.
Considering the villain’s blood aura compared to the butcher’s, he was like a pure white rabbit, posing no threat whatsoever.
“Waste!” Seeing the villain’s demeanor, the butcher cursed and then grabbed his hair, dragging him towards a dark alley next to the street.
“Have mercy! I beg you!” The villain, being dragged by his hair, let out an almost wail-like scream. He still had strength, his knife still on his back, but he lacked the courage to draw the knife and strike at the butcher. Even though the butcher, Baru, was turned away from him.
“Then stop howling. If I don’t kill you, I’ll just hammer you a bit, to let off some steam!” Walking into the alley, the butcher threw him against the wall, creating a significant dent.
“Thank you for your mercy, Master!” Upon hearing the butcher would not kill him, the villain immediately revealed a smile.
“Don’t thank me. I’m just planning to save you a last breath!” The butcher tucked the pig-slaughtering knife into his waistband, and then, throwing a fierce punch, smashed the villain’s face, shattered teeth mixed with filthy blood sprayed…
“Hey, this big cat doesn’t look bad!” As the villain was being dragged away by the butcher, the ferocious beast that had been trembling under the blood aura, looked around and started to slowly straighten up, preparing to slip away.
But the beast quickly discovered that a slender man had appeared before it, seemingly out of nowhere. Seeing the man blocking its path, the tiger, not too wise, let out a roar.
With that roar, a rolling stench rushed into the man’s nostrils,
“This smell…” The man sniffed, revealing a benign smile and his eyes began to look threatening when he looked at the giant beast, “You have eaten human flesh, and not just any, but ordinary humans.”
“Roar!” Faced with the man’s smile, which instinctively made it feel uncomfortable, the hungry tiger opened its mouth wide to bite the man before it, intending to swallow him whole. Considering the way its master behaved, one could imagine what sort of creature it was.
“Just in time, my son is growing and needs some tiger bone to nourish his body. My wife also lacks a coat, and I fancy some tiger penis wine!” Without any visible movement from the man, the hungry tiger’s body shook a couple of times, then it collapsed to the ground. Its eyes dimmed and the spark of life swiftly left it, as filthy blood flowed out from its seven orifices…
“Thud!” The villain hit the wall, his eyes and mouth askew, his armour smashed into metal fragments scattered all over the place, limbs twisted unnaturally. Lying on the ground, with barely perceptible chest movements, he was as the butcher said, barely clinging to life.
“A decent body, just a waste of a person. You’ve even broken through to Gold Rank, and you still don’t dare to throw a punch at me? How did a waste like you ever break through to Gold Rank?”
The butcher looked puzzled at the villain on the ground, who was revealing a relieved smile of having survived a disaster. To him, having cultivated to such a level yet being so cowardly was almost beyond comprehension.
Back when he had first arrived on this continent, he was merely at the Gold Rank, but even then, during the war, when confronted with Soul Intent Level demons, fiends, and cultists, he would still pick up his weapon and slash away with his sword.

A crisp shattering sound echoed, and a faint black domain spread, covering the dark, yet clean and tidy alley with an ominous aura.
“Hehe…” Under the influence of the atmosphere leaking from the space rift, the evildoer couldn’t help but chatter his teeth and let out a dry howl from his throat, overcome with fear, feeling like a rabbit caught in the sights of a predator.
“What a disgusting aura!” The butcher drew the slaughter knife that was tucked at his waist, and in a burst of sanctified light, the knife, stained with tainted blood, slowly extended and transformed into a heavy, ornately decorated greatsword.
“Please, stay calm, Demon Butcher Baloo, Your Excellency!” The rift slowly widened, and then a black-haired youth, dressed in an elegant suit, stepped out from it, “Allow me to introduce myself—I am from the Demonic Abyss, Mels!”
“Sure enough, it’s from the Demonic Abyss.” Hearing the devil’s introduction, the butcher’s cold expression eased considerably. He had already guessed the other’s identity; under the current situation, normal devils from Hell would definitely not dare to appear openly in a core city like Holy Flame City—it would be suicidal.
The only ones who could be here were devils from Senapus, who had signed the most complete contracts, selling their lives completely to the Lord of Senapus, betraying the devils of Hell.
Butcher Baloo’s attitude towards these devils was neither hostile nor friendly. He wasn’t hostile because during the previous sweeping wars, these devils who had defected to Silapus had proven themselves with the blood and carcasses of their own kind, showing that they struck most mercilessly during the war.
The reason he wasn’t friendly was that they were devils, and he was a Paladin, with naturally different stances. If he found any abnormal movements from these devils, as a Paladin, he would disregard any consequences and strike them down on the spot.
“What are you doing here?” The butcher looked expressionlessly at the devil masquerading as a human, vaguely feeling that the name Mels seemed familiar.
“My presence here naturally has a reason, a reason that warrants my action, given my identity,” Mels replied.
“And what is the reason for your action this time?”
“That pool of blood beneath your feet, he’s the reason I’m here,” Mels said with a smile.
“Hmm?”
“He just offended someone he shouldn’t have!” Mels chuckled and said.
The butcher was slightly startled, glanced at the evildoer on the ground, and without hesitation, turned his battle sword back into a slaughter knife, tucking it at his waist as he returned to his casual demeanor and stepped out of the alley.
He didn’t ask who the evildoer had just offended; it wasn’t something for him to know or needed to know.
He wasn’t stupid. Living in the city for so many years, he had long sensed many discrepancies, like the neighbors on his block, many of whom were as strong as he was.
To put it extravagantly, a single leaf falling from a tree in this city could unintentionally hit three Gold Ranks. Furthermore, the elementary and junior high school that were built along with the city seemed to have an excessively strong teaching staff.
Sometimes when he attended parent-teacher conferences, those principals and grade directors managed to intimidate him, causing involuntary tremors in his body. Just what level of power was that? The butcher could guess.
However, even though he had felt that something was amiss, he had said nothing. After all, it hasn’t done him any harm, so why would he fuss?
Today’s events had completely confirmed his earlier suspicions: the city was formed under the deliberate arrangements of some big figures. His child had also benefitted from the light of such big figures, enjoying several advantages.
…After the butcher left the alley, the evildoer instinctively struggled to get up, wanting to escape from the devil before him, but soon, an invisible force acted upon him, breaking all his limbs.
“Mercy, my lord, mercy!”
“Mercy for what? There’s no need to beg me! Rest assured, you won’t die. Daring to insult His Majesty! Death would be a luxury for you!” Mels said with a smile, extending his hand towards the desperate evildoer and dragging him into the space rift, disappearing within the city…
