King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 860 - 860 848 I am the most just existence

Chapter 860: Chapter 848 I am the most just existence! Chapter 860: Chapter 848 I am the most just existence! “Otherwise, one will simply be waste—a possessor of Epic strength yet lacking the matching resolve! The process of attaining source power is equally as essential as the outcome; neither can be absent.”

Muria gazed at the two crystalline, lustrous source powers floating before him. His mind became clear, and he articulated his stance with coherence, refusing the gift from his grandmother,

“I don’t wish to abandon the process of gaining my first drop of source power on my own.”

“My fine grandson!” Seeing Muria’s choice, Yarista laughed, her joy evident as she put away the source power. Her smile was even more radiant than when she had obtained source power herself.

Seeing his grandmother’s joyful smile, Muria was momentarily stunned. Unbeknownst to him, he had just been through a test his grandmother set, a test of becoming an Epic.

His mother had made her choice, and he had made the same. But Muria had no doubts; had he and the Golden Dragon Mother accepted all gifts from their grandmother,

She would have bestowed upon them the source power without hesitation. But what Epic forged in such a manner would deserve the title? If they had accepted the gifts, it would be equivalent to severing themselves from the Path to Epic.

“No Epic has ever been forged through the charity of others!” A phrase suddenly sprang to Muria’s mind, recalling the Three-headed Evil Gods captured alive by the Giant God of Light, entities which in the eyes of the Shining God didn’t even equal the value of a medium-sized world.

“Mikaer, something big is about to happen.” Having just returned to Sinapus, Muria went into Cloud City and sought out Michaela, who was in the midst of pregnancy rest, wanting to share with her his recent experiences.

But just as he was about to speak of his grandmother’s test, he stopped mid-sentence. Refusing others’ offer of source power and instead obtaining it through one’s own strength seemed to be an essential trait for beings like themselves; it wasn’t anything to boast about.

“What’s happened?” Michaela looked at Muria, a trace of curiosity in her gaze.

“An unprecedented war is about to occur,” Muria replied, his thoughts turning.

“Aren’t you already waging a war that will go down in the annals of Elasia’s history?” Michaela asked, her expression strange as she gazed at Muria.

Was he not aware that the war he was waging would rock the entire world? A war aimed at eradicating nearly all creatures on a subcontinent, it could be described as unparalleled in history.

“Compared to the upcoming battle, the war I’m waging now is but a minor skirmish.”

“It’s that Epic Race your grandmother provoked, isn’t it? They’ve come looking for her?” Upon hearing Muria’s words, Michaela quickly surmised what was about to occur.

“Correct, the Three-headed Evil Gods sent to pursue my grandmother have been captured. According to their account, if they go missing, their race will soon send even stronger beings to investigate, and thus a war becomes inevitable.”

“Then let’s fight!” Michaela replied casually, but afterwards, her face showed a hint of regret,

“If only this war could be delayed by a few hundred years, by then I would surely have become an Epic and could partake in the battle.”

“Your assumption is simply not viable. Without the Secret Technique brought by my grandmother, unless you encounter the same fortune as your grandfather, there is no way for you to become an Epic within a few hundred years. Not to mention our Titan Clan’s Secret Technique, the survival rate is just too low.”

“Right, it seems we will not be able to participate in this war no matter what, we’re not qualified.”

“Actually, as Legends, we could barely take part in this war,” Muria said half-jokingly.

“As cannon fodder? Do you think our parents would agree to that? And would you be content with such a role in the battle, Muria?” Michaela countered.

“Of course not,” Muria shook his head.

Time slowly passed, and just as Muria had predicted, he no longer received messages from the Blazing Sky God Race and the Titan Tribe in the Void. He didn’t even know whether his race had begun fighting with the Demon Race.

After a period of dejection, Muria soon pulled himself together. Since it was something he couldn’t meddle in, there was no reason to waste energy on it. He just needed to focus on what he had to do.

In the years to come, in preparation for the cleansing war ahead and its greatest challenge—the Evil God Avatar—Muria specifically created a Magic Array to detect the Evil God Avatar’s presence. When a Deity intervened, attempting to shift the tides of the battle, he could instantly determine the location and follow the Avatar’s descent.

Generally speaking, once a trace of an Evil God was detected, Muria himself would descend first to fight the Divine Incarnation. After having his fill of the battle, he would then inform a Legendary Titan to take over. Of course, he did not forget to collect the information fee of one million Elemental Crystals for every occurrence. That was the service fee he must earn.

According to the calculations of the Dragon Race, that was what he deserved, after all, every detection of a Deity’s Avatar’s descent inevitably brought massive battle losses to the Sinapus Army.

This was the price Muria had to pay before every fight against an Evil God’s Avatar, as war always brings death. After all, he could not predict in advance on which battlefield a Deity’s Avatar would descend.

“Muria, has any Divine Incarnation descended?” A familiar voice echoed into the hall. Muria rubbed his temples and then mustered a standard smile, “Based on the current intelligence, there is no Divine Incarnation descending, Father.”

At this moment, the one who came to seek Muria at the Deity Detection Facility was none other than his biological father, Ansol. Having been promoted to Legendary eighth rank, he was right within the summoning range of the Epic Titan, and he too possessed the strength to battle against Deity’s Avatars.

Thus, he was constantly yearning to fight a Divine Incarnation, hoping that every day one would descend so that he could battle against it.

Unfortunately, although there were numerous Evil Gods, they couldn’t manage to descend every day on average; after all, each descent of a battle incarnation of a Divine Incarnation required the creation of a powerful Avatar, which required a large amount of resources, and sometimes even involved the blood sacrifice of the followers of several cities.

Each descent of an Avatar was almost like cutting flesh from the Deities themselves, but without the support of Divine Incarnations, the battle situation on the Senapus Subcontinent would have collapsed long ago, and Muria might have already leveled this Evil God’s Paradise.

“Don’t you feel that this is beneath your dignity?” said the Evil God’s Avatar, who descended after a sacrifice of three hundred thousand creatures.

“Not at all!” the Land Emperor Turtle responded lazily, seemingly bearing the weight of a mountain range. This Legendary Beast, for some reason, had reached an agreement with the Titan Tribe and relocated to the Titan Clan Lands, and, eventually, came to the Senapus Subcontinent.

However, after arriving at the Senapus Subcontinent, it directly sought out Muria, requesting to be taken along with him in every battle against the Divine Incarnations.

It would not interfere with the Titans’ battles with the Evil God’s Avatars, it would only reinforce their battleground slightly to avoid causing more extensive destruction and disturbing the balance of the ley lines.

So, when Muria, or any other Titan fought an Evil God’s Avatar, the Land Emperor Turtle would squat to the side, reinforce the field, and then watch the fight intently. Practically all observed Evil Gods couldn’t take it.

For, no matter how one looked at it, the Land Emperor Turtle was on Muria’s side. If it smacked over with a Claw during the battle, then used some special technique, the attacked Deity might suffer permanent damage, which would be a loss that outweighe the gains.

“By intervening in the war, you’re neglecting your duty!” The Evil God’s Avatar glared angrily at the Land Emperor Turtle, behind whom the armies of Senapus were retreating.

“How have I neglected my duty? I just came to reinforce the ground, I haven’t done anything else?” the Land Emperor Turtle replied, staring with a pair of innocent large eyes at the Evil God’s Avatar.

“Don’t worry, when the Titan comes later, you fight your battle, I won’t interfere. We Legendary Beasts are the most fair and impartial beings, and we absolutely won’t intervene in the wars of the mortal world.”

“Hah!” The Avatar of the Deity, possessing only weak Divine Power, laughed coldly. If it weren’t for the Land Emperor Turtle blocking his way, covering the retreat of the Sinapus Army, and also using gravity manipulation that touched upon the level of the Law to restrain his movements, he might have actually believed it.

As far as he knew, the first Deity who had descended as an Avatar, the Fear Demon, was not defeated by a Titan but was torn apart by the first arriving Legendary Beast, the Wind King Hawk.

While the Fear Demon’s attack by the Legendary Beast might have had other reasons, most Evil Gods perceived this as a likely indication that some Legendary Beasts were siding with the Titans.

To date, four Legendary Beasts had arrived on the Senapus Subcontinent: the Wind King Hawk, the Land Emperor Turtle, the Sea Emperor Dragon, and Green God Lian. Among these four, the Sea Emperor Dragon stayed in the offshore waters of the Senapus Subcontinent purifying the ocean and had no intention of coming ashore.

The other Green God Lian was purifying the land, trying to make its ecological environment similar to that of other continents. These two beasts, absorbed solely in purifying the environment, could be considered as the most just beings; they intervened in no battles and attacked no creatures.

However, the first to arrive, the Wind King Hawk, and the recently arrived Land Emperor Turtle, according to reliable information, had complicated relationships with the Titans.

And now, judging by their actions, they too seemed biased towards the Titans. If that were truly the case, then there was no point in continuing the war! There would be no chance to struggle at all! In the Material World, Legendary Beasts were invincible, and no one could kill them and remain unscathed in their original position.

“If you don’t interfere in the war, then why are you using gravity to suppress me?”

“I’m only using gravity to reinforce the battleground, to prevent you from damaging the ground too severely when you fight the Titan in a moment!” the Land Emperor Turtle answered calmly.
