Chapter 787 - 787 776 Mother and Son Clear Calculations
Chapter 787: Chapter 776: Mother and Son, Clear Calculations. Chapter 787: Chapter 776: Mother and Son, Clear Calculations. “Crack!” Before the slightly shorter girl opposite him could land a punch on his face, the dark youth, Black Terror, had put his left arm in front of his face to block it. However, his defense only changed the location of his injury.
When Shelly’s fist landed on his left arm, a clear sound of bone fracture erupted from Black Terror’s arm. His arm was bent in an extremely unnatural way.
But even with one broken hand, the young Black Terror let out no scream, but couldn’t help but grunt. The damage of this punch was far beyond his expectation, and his attention was slightly diverted, so he was attacked once again.
Just as the dark youth Black Terror couldn’t help but step back from the pain, Dragonkin girl Shelly kicked him without hesitation. Once again, the youth was forced to step back.
Seeing this, none of the dark crew that came with the young man came to the rescue. Instead, they all stepped back. Even in different worlds, some basic rules are the same.
For example, when Dragonkin girl Shelly launched an attack on the dark youth, it was considered a battle by default. Shelly initiated the fight without any surprise attack, she had come in plain daylight.
This kind of battle was considered by the people of the Shadow Wasteland as a fair duel, so all of them tacitly withdrew, clearing a sufficient area for the battle. Even though some people were not happy to see Black Terror getting beat up, no one came to help.
The actions of these people from the Shadow Wasteland also led certain Dragonkin and some patrolling giants on the surrounding towers to stop, make no further movements and watch the fight between Dragonkin girl Shelly and young Black Terror.
“So this is the extent to which you dare mock others.” Dragonkin girl Shelly, who had repelled the dark youth with a punch and a kick, laughed heartily. She looked at the muscular, sturdy young man opposite her without disguising her pride.
“You are strong, I admit I underestimated you. I apologise for my previous actions.” Black Terror touched his broken forearm with one hand, then gingerly touched his sunken abdomen. His face showed a stern expression.
The Winged Serpent Tattoo on Black Terror’s left arm and half of his back began to glow, a dazzling light spread from it, covering the two obvious wounds on his body, and then a rich life force surged forth.
As Flesh Eye could see, the seemingly terrifying wounds on the young man’s body healed rapidly. Very soon they were intact, as if they hadn’t been hurt at all. Not only that, a large spectral Winged Serpent burst out from the young man’s arm and loomed over the youth’s back, clawing and gnashing at the Golden Armor Giant opposite him.
“Now this is my real strength.” Black Terror said solemnly, looking at Shelly, “Although I looked down on you and made a mistake, I don’t want you to look down on my people because of me.”
“Then show me your power!” Despite being wrapped in bone armor derived from Dragon Vein, Shelly’s feminine figure was still very obvious. But she showed a bold temperament that had nothing to do with her femininity, like a brawny man who loved to fight.
“Kid, let me see just how powerful you can be when you gain an extra little snake on your back?” The Golden Armor Giant stepped forward, flew out, and turned into a golden light shadow, flying towards the dark giant who was larger than her.
“As you wish, I won’t disappoint you.” At the same time, the youth rushed towards the opposing Armor Giant, not showing any mercy because she was a woman. In this vast and primitive land, when men lose their fighting power, women also need to fight.
Boom! Underneath a high tower, the two collided fiercely. The surging shock wave spread around the point of impact, but nobody retreated. It can be said that the people who could stand here were not ordinary people.
…
“Your Majesty, should we just let them fight? Shouldn’t we send someone to stop them?” On the high platform, the Flame Dragon Princess who came along and Sefilia, the former Pirate Queen who had reigned over the sea, asked softly.
“No need, let them fight. The more they fight, the more they recognize each other, and the gap between them will lessen.” Muria looked at the two young boys and girls fighting below and said with a smile.
“If a conflict arises as soon as they enter, won’t it bode ill for future integration?” Flame Dragon Princess Sefilia, who once had been a leader, asked with some worry.
“As long as the conflict is within a controllable range, it’s acceptable. These local giants and my subordinates know each other well, so it’s not bad for them to initially communicate through fists,” replied Muria.
Eventually, the battle ended in a draw. Neither the Shadow Wasteland boy Black Terror nor the dragonkin girl Shelly had much combat experience. Despite Shelly having received the baptism of Dragon Blood six years before, she had primarily studied theoretical knowledge and didn’t possess any cultivation methods. However, once they entered this world, Muria provided them with tailored meditation and breathing methods right away.
As Muria predicted, this battle didn’t create a negative impact. The Shadow Wasteland humans held enough reverence for every entity in the City of Void. Even the seemingly insignificant dragonkin could transform into enormous giants in armor to fight them.
Meanwhile, in the City of Void, the giants and dragonkin, originating from higher-level worlds, began to show some respect for the inhabitants of this world. Their contemptuous gazes lessened significantly, especially after observing a newly-adult teenager from a remote area compete with some of the strongest amongst them, the dragonkin. Regarding the giant dragon, they continued to look down upon all non-dragon creatures and those dragons of lower status.
With Muria’s deliberate guidance, the giants and dragonkin in the City of Void along with the shadow giants under his command began to interact and started tolerating each other’s presence.
Muria was exceedingly reassured by these developments, as these shadow giants were bound to play a significant role in his command, perhaps even replacing the cloud giants due to their vast numbers.
…
“Mother, you’re back!” After the Golden Dragon Mother had been away for nearly a month, she finally reappeared in Muria’s sight. When she arrived at the separate land from Muria, she saw what had been a blemished territory during her departure had transformed into an rapidly expanding city.
“Hmm, what’s going on here?” Golden Dragon Mother was astonished as she, under Muria’s lead, saw the rapidly developing City of Void. Apart from the giants on their typical patrol duty, almost all giants and dragons were engaged in the construction of the city. With the help of so many beings possessing extraordinary powers, the city transformed every passing second.
Admittedly, for a mere gold rank hill giant, constructing a building with control over the earth was a matter of mere minutes. Engraving some runes on it was also not too time-consuming for the numerous cloud giants.
“I’m leading them to build the city.” Muria scratched his nose, replying with an embarrassed smile, “When you left, I discovered plenty of mineral resources in this area. I thought it was better to excavate them and directly convert them into fighting power rather than leaving them untouched.”
“Huh?” The Golden Dragon Mother’s gaze was fixed on a particular building at the center of the under-construction city. It was a magnificent structure that had only a foundation as of now, resembling the twin towers, “Star Gate!”
“You’re starting the construction of this thing already?” Seeing the hyper-space construction, Golden Dragon Mother was surprised, she looked at her son in amazement, “Exactly how many resources have you discovered underground here?”
Generally, a Star Gate is a super-time-space construction that can only be built by a conqueror after conquering a medium-sized world and mobilizing all its manpower and resources. Regarding a small-sized world, it’s impossible to build it.
But Muria had descended onto this world less than half a year ago and was already starting the construction of such a resource-draining structure. This was indeed unbelievable.
“Hehe.” Muria chuckled without giving any explanation. He directly led his mother into the castle constructed by the cloud giants and put the resource distribution map collected so far in front of the Golden Dragon Mother.
“This is the resource distribution map of the area beneath our feet.” Upon seeing this map, the Golden Dragon Mother couldn’t help showing a shock in her eyes. From the moment she saw the Star Gate under construction, she had somewhat prepared herself, but she was still startled by the total amount of resources stored underground.
“This must be the accumulation of all resources in the entire Shadow Wasteland World, with all the elite of the world gathered here.” Looking at the map, Golden Dragon Mother’s eyes started to shine. With these resources, she could do more things. After all, the strength of a formation was closely related to the materials used and geographical position.
Of course, as the one laying out the formation, she was going to deduct some materials for herself as a form of reward. Which mother would work for her son without getting anything in return?
