King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 715 - 715 707 Mutual Harm

Chapter 715: Chapter 707 Mutual Harm Chapter 715: Chapter 707 Mutual Harm Muria, holding the Starfall bow in his hand, watched a ghost battleship trying to escape by breaking through space. The glowing thunders and flames on his body surged towards the bowstring, condensing an arrow.

Whoosh——

Muria released his palm, and the arrow, over a hundred meters long, was shot out with a thunderous sound. After flying hundreds of meters, it split into smaller arrows of varying sizes, shooting towards the wildly escaping ghost fleet.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

These diverse arrows penetrated the ships from the rear and exited from the front. Then, the chain of explosions reverberated in the sky, blowing up all the ghost ships.

The radiant golden lightning arc and flames swallowed all the ghost warships, not leaving a fragment. Some even exhibited a divine radiance that purified the fragments of the ghost ships.

“The third fleet!” After watching the ghost battleships he had exploded with a single arrow in the sky, Muria looked at the city beneath his feet that had been wiped out completely and turned away. He was one step too late, and the humans of this city had all been killed. Now, he had to continue hunting these ghost ships.

Once the Wind King Hawk agreed to help him keep an eye on his home, Muria began to consider how to retaliate against Barbossa. If he didn’t have to worry that his base would be stolen if he left it unattended, he could have lots of fun.

Coincidentally, Muria found many traces of ghostship activity around Xena Pus. He understood that this must be Barbossa seizing the opportunity to replenish his lost strength. What’s more, this area was exactly where the churches had instructed him to protect.

The Undead Cataclysm was a grand feast of the undead for the Great Liches who had long lived under the earth. They took advantage of the catastrophe to wreak havoc and collect the strong skeletal bones and souls they needed.

The powerful humans killed in this catastrophe didn’t need to bear any responsibility because there were too many Great Liches taking advantage of the situation. Even if there was a desire for retribution, the humans didn’t have the strength to retaliate.

“You want to muddle through, to restore your strength? Hehe,” Muria sneered, “just watch as I make you lose everything.”

Muria tore through space and stepped in. He would hunt all the ghost ships scavenging in this area, not only for revenge but also for the protection he had once promised.

The destruction the ghost ships wreaked on the human forces and creatures in this region was too great. To the human kingdom of this continent, these ghost ships were epoch-making weapons.

“What is there in that Cloud Island?” Above the battlefield, full of fighting, Barbossa stood silently on a ghost battleship, thinking. The booming sound of the battlefield below, didn’t distract him at all. It was a small scene.

“What else in this world can pose a threat to me? Even Dimos couldn’t make me feel this way before he became a Dragon King.”

Barbossa was lost in thought, and he couldn’t understand why entering that little guy’s lair gave him the feeling that he might fall at any time. But under those circumstances, he had to believe it. Wasn’t it death to not run when he sensed a threat to his life?

“Could it be an Epic? That shouldn’t be! Dimos had already left and was not even in the world. As for the Titan, there is no way he would pamper such a boy.”

Barbossa was a bit frustrated as he pondered. He was ticked off that he had to flee before he could investigate who the threat to his life was.

But he was also a bit scared to go back. After all, he had only lost some resources and minions. Given time, he could accumulate them again. He didn’t have to risk his life for these things. It wasn’t worth it.

Time was the cheapest thing for an immortal lich like him. His biggest motivation to become an Epic was simply Dimos.

The golden dragon who had dared to rob him, he remembered that at that time, the faceless golden dragon, far inferior to him in cultivation, was now a Dragon King, enjoying leisurely sojourns in the void, while he was still struggling in the main world.

He just felt that he couldn’t swallow this insult and wanted to catch up with the golden dragon, not wanting to be left too far behind. He didn’t wish to, if they ever met again, still be a vengeful peak lich.

At that time, the other side would look down on him with the stature of a Dragon King and then casually remark, “Oh, long time no see, Barbossa. So long time, I have become a Dragon King, and you are still a small lich? Pathetic, um, I heard my grandson robbed you again recently?”

The thought of this scenario infuriated Barbossa even more. The others had already become Dragon Kings and their grandchildren were showing up to rob him, as though he were a free-for-all. He wondered if his great-grandchildren would someday come to rob him too. He questioned, what on earth was he being treated as?

“Damn it, what could there possibly be inside?” Barbossa, swallowed by anger and frustration, looked down. Below stood the capital city of a human kingdom, surrounded by an endless sea of skeletons.

At this point, the city was near full to the brim with close to a million citizens. According to his soul perception, the city was packed – the surface and underground alike.

“It’s taken so long, why hasn’t it fallen yet?” Finding that his subordinates were not performing well enough to breach the city’s defence, Barbossa asked, dissatisfied.

During the Undead Cataclysm, human rulers consolidated all the citizens from the surrounding outskirts into the city. As such it was a common sight for the city’s population to multiply during the Cataclysm. This was primarily for defense purposes.

Such cities seemed like cans packed full with souls which were an irresistible temptation to the powerful lich who loved collecting corpses and souls. They didn’t even need to search for them.

“Lord Barbosa, please calm down, the city will fall soon.” A lava demon floated up swiftly to apologize when it heard Barbossa’s harsh rebuke. It was Barbosa’s top lieutenant and had been accompanying him on his conquests for a long time.

“Never mind, I’ll handle it myself!” Seeing this demon, which was purely a product of lava accumulation, Barbossa sneered. His battleship slowly descended, all the grey fog surrounding the ship was blown away. As his flagship appeared in the sights of the humans defending the city below, a sense of despair spread amongst them.

They were already surrounded by a sea of skeletons and now, suddenly, a fleet of ghost ships joined the attack, besieging them. They already found it hard to resist, and now, an enormous ghost ship appeared.

“How can a ghost ship of such size exist?” A legendary figure from the Duchy, with a gun in one hand and a sword in the other, looked up into the sky at the majestic ghost battleship, which resembled a mountain range. His eyes turned grey. Against such a gigantic war weapon, the city had no chance.

“I’m sorry,” he glanced at the city below and gritted his teeth. He tore open space in readiness to escape. He didn’t intend to go down with this city. As long as he stayed alive, he could rebuild a country, even if it took him a bit longer.

“Where do you think you’re going? Haha.” The moment the legendary figure entered the spatial rift, a lava demon was hot on his tail.

“You’re going to chase me to the ends of the earth?” The human legend roared in anger. His painstakingly built human kingdom had already been destroyed, and now these damn, greedy undead would not even spare him?

“Why ask such a foolish question? Just accept death obediently and enjoy eternity with me!”

As the two legendary figures tangled, a loud rumbling and shaking noise was heard and space was torn open. They were suddenly thrown back into the Material World.

“My city!” Back in the Material World, the legendary figure looked back at his city. He hadn’t escaped far through the spatial rift. What was once a bustling city just a few months ago had now turned into ruins, with endless vengeful spirits and skeletons crawling out of the rubble.

“You people actually…” Seeing this scene, the Legend was enraged to the point of madness. His subjects, men or women, old or young, had all been turned into undead.

“Silence!” A bone palm, aflame with Nether Fire, lunged at him, gripping him tightly without giving him a chance to resist. Death Qi flooded into his body at a furious pace.

Visible to the naked eye, the life force within this legendary figure was rapidly devoured by the Death Qi. His body shriveled at an alarming rate, becoming completely dessicated. He screamed and struggled in agony, but to no avail. Eventually, a shadowy soul fire ignited from his skull, and two emerald green lights shot out from his eyes, turned into black holes.

“Master!” In just three breaths, this legend was forcefully transformed by Barbossa into an undead.

“Excellent.” Barbossa laughed heartily, satisfied. Under normal circumstances, he would never have had the opportunity to forcibly transform a human legend into an undead figure. During the Undead Cataclysm, there were many things he could do.

If he killed enough, well… even that wouldn’t make up for missing his chance to become the council leader. That was an irreparable loss, not equivalent to the spoils of annihilating a few cities or eradicating a few human countries.

“Huh!” While Barbossa reveled in reaping a new legendary undead subordinate, he noticed movement from the distance. He saw a Storm Giant riding atop a Giant Peng, followed closely by a Cloud Giant commanding a floating ship.

“If I’m not mistaken, I believe I’ve seen them in that kid’s lair too.” Although Obistro Subcontinent also had giants, they were very common barbaric giants like Mountain Giants, Sand Giants, and Jungle Giants. There were no special cultural giants like Storm Giants or Cloud Giants.

“Ha! Kid, I may not be able to invade your lair, but what can stop me from taking out your minions?” Barbossa sneered and directed his attention at the giants coming to aid humans. “Kill every single one of them!”
