King of Titans and Dragons
Chapter 588 - 588 584 The Dragon Covered in Wings

Chapter 588: Chapter 584: The Dragon Covered in Wings Chapter 588: Chapter 584: The Dragon Covered in Wings Blazing flames burned, intertwining with the gale that naturally surged when Muria unleashed her uncontrolled power. The wind enmeshed with the fire, and golden lightning shone within, streaking towards Irvicester along with the rainbow shot by Muria.

She showed no signs of showing mercy. Having decided to give it her all, Muria sought to beat her elder brother-in-law into complete introversion and silence. Then he would cease to meddle in her affairs with Michaela.

“Hmph!” Irvicester let out a cold snort. He too pulled out a great bow. Drawing the bowstring, he shot a rainbow that clashed with and extinguished the one Muria launched. Flames rose from the angel wings on his back, blocking the thunder emitted by Muria.

As Muria had said, the spear, the sword, and the bow were three must-have weapons for the Blazing Sky God Race. Every descendant of the Blazing Sky Gods was a master or above in wielding these three weapons. However, they focused on different aspects, each excelling in their own way, with some even reaching the level of grandmasters.

If some geniuses were willing to spend a large amount of time practicing their skills, they could reach the realm of the grandmaster in all of them. Irvicester was such a person.

When he was at the Soul Intent Level, Irvicester dared to lead a group of buddies to team up with the Titans to beat up a legendary Eight-armed Snake Demon. Born from nobility and unafraid of a fight, the Blazing Sky God race naturally spared no resources for him, his every need being met.

That’s why when Muria pulled out her Starfall Bow, he drew out an equally impressive legendary great bow constructed of neither gold nor jade, and shot at her. This was a legendary great bow, its power momentarily comparable to Muria’s Starfall, given that this bow lacked the ability to grow. The method of forging exclusive weapons was solely in the hands of the Titan tribe.

Boom! Boom! Muria, wielding the legendary Starfall Bow, and Irvicester, looking like two miniature Star-destroying Magic Cannons, clashed with such ferocity that the spectators were astounded. The energy vortex, stirred up by collapsing and smashing arrows, swirled violently in the wide sky arena, emitting a wave of power that turned the faces of the Gold Rank angels pale. This was a force capable of tearing them apart without giving them a chance to recover. However, for Muria and Irvicester, it was just like a gentle breeze touching their faces.

“This power…” Muria wrinkled her brows slightly. She raised her head to glance at Eleusis, who was observing the battle from outside the ring. Her eyes clearly conveyed a message: Are you too weak? Or is my uncle too strong? They weren’t even on the same level.

Eleusis, who was watching the match hoping to see Muria’s misfortune, looked at Muria and his face subtly turned green. He understood the implications of Muria’s gaze.

“How are you so much stronger than Eleusis?” Muria was a bit surprised. Her brother-in-law was the same as Eleusis, both were at the Legendary Third Rank. However, after suppressing his power, he managed to not be at a disadvantage against her.

“Are you proud of defeating a piece of garbage that only relies on its natural talent? Feel my power properly. This is what the posture of a Blazing Sky God Descendant should look like.”

After a dozen exchanges of swordplay with Muria, and realizing that Muria’s archery skills had also reached the realm of grandmaster, Irvicester drew his twin swords. With a light flutter of his eight wings, he was next to Muria in no time. His twin swords, shaped like an X, slashed down at Muria.

“Don’t bull me. Do you think I know nothing?” Muria rolled her eyes, put away the Starfall Bow, drew the Seven Sins Blade and the Damo Sword, and started clashing with Irvicester. The sharp sword qi and blade light splashed around, and a tornado of sword qi formed with them at the center, leaving criss-crossing slash scars on the durable white stone ring. This ring couldn’t possibly be destroyed with a Mountain Monarch nearby.

“Before your sister was born, you were the first genius of the Blazing Sky God race. Even now, you are still the actual number one of the Blazing Sky God race. By defeating you, I have essentially defeated the young generation of the Blazing Sky God race.”

If one had ideas about someone’s sister, they had to get the basics right, like understanding her family and tribe. Muria, at the very least, understood all the public information. Irvicester was the face of the Blazing Sky God race’s young generation, and still is, since Michaela hadn’t grown up yet.

“Boom!” Irvicester didn’t say much. He slashed his twin swords one after another. Each sword qi was thousands of meters long and they slammed into Muria like a series of sword mountains. They were domineering and sharp. If it weren’t for the Blazing Sky Gods reinforcing the space, this space would have been slashed apart by Irvicester long ago.

“The gap is too big. Is that Eleusis guy really just a piece of garbage waiting for death?” Muria swung the swords in her hands, cutting out sword qi and blade light. Neither the speed nor the blade light were inferior to Irvicester’s. She held him off temporarily. She realized that she couldn’t take down her brother-in-law in a short time.

The difference in achievements obtained through later effort and learning, even if you’re from the same race and have the same starting point at birth, can be as deep as a chasm. Take Irvicester and Eleusis, for example. The gap between their techniques and equipment is particularly large.

According to what Muria knew, when descendants of the Blazing Sky God race ascended to legend, they could choose a legendary weapon for themselves. However, to obtain a second legendary weapon, they needed to rely on their own abilities.

For example, if Eleusis wanted to obtain a legendary long sword, he needed to achieve the realm of grandmaster in sword technique. That was the only way to obtain it. However, it was clear that he was just a blunt instrument. Having been sent flying by Muria and suppressed by the legendary long spear, Radiant Rainbow, he couldn’t take out a second legendary weapon.

“Yufan, how did you get that legendary armor?” After finally breaking through Ilverst’s twin swords and slashing a cut on his chest armor that started to heal itself, Muria, looking somewhat frustrated, asked.

“I exchanged it using my valor.” Ilverst responded coldly, “And where did you get your exclusive weapons?”

Titan Tribe and Blazing Sky God Race have different policies for nurturing their descendants. Ilverst remembered that the Titan Tribe, after breaking through Soul Intent, seemed to only hand out one exclusive weapon per person. If a Titan wanted more, they would have to pillage for it themselves and could not rely on their tribe for help. This mainly resulted from the different paths the two races walked after becoming legendary.

“I obtained those on my own abilities,” Muria confidently answered. To obtain the legendary metal in the Golden Dragon Lady’s Crystal Castle, Muria had spent a considerable amount of time learning about magic array strategy and researching how to find weaknesses in those meticulously constructed, near-perfect magic arrays.

Muria found that the ability to find weaknesses could not only be used in cracking formations, but could also be used in battles. He could search for weak points in the enemy’s moves. Once a weakness was spotted, he could defeat the enemy at a minimal cost. However, finding weaknesses of his Yufan brother was not that easy, so Muria had a tough time in this fight. The watching descendants of the Blazing Sky Gods and angels were greatly amused, sporadically cheering Ilverst on.

“Hmph!” Hearing the surrounding noise, Muria snorted contemptuously, and then started furiously chopping at Ilverst, realizing the method for defeating his brother: physical endurance.

While both their techniques, equipment, and levels were similar, there was one way in which Muria was superior to Ilverst: physical strength. His recovery ability was stronger than his older cousin brother, this was his winning chance.

“They are fighting a war of attrition!” exclaimed a female eight-winged Blazing Sky God descendant, her delicate eyebrows lightly furrowed. Around her, were many four and six-winged gods and angels, starry-eyed to her moon.

“Madam Feiye Ti, who do you think will win this fight?” A six-winged descendant of the Blazing Sky Gods asked with anticipation.

“I can’t tell.” Feiye Ti shook her head candidly, “They both are monsters, I wouldn’t be able to defeat either of them individually.”

“Ehm, Madam Feiye Ti, you don’t have to underestimate yourself so much!”

“This is not self-deprecation, I’ve fought Ilverst before, I can’t match him.” A faint smile emerged on Feiye Ti’s face, “As a result of losing the battle, I agreed to Ilverst’s proposal of marriage.”

“Congratulations, madam!” The sudden news made the surrounding Blazing Sky God descendants stunned, and then they offered their blessings one after another. Once two eight-winged angels fell in love, the wedding was basically set in stone, there would be no objections.

“In that case, don’t you want Mr. Ilverst to win against this fanatic?” A descendant of the Blazing Sky Gods questioned.

“Of course, I hope that Ilverst will win, but I hope more that he will be safe and not hurt in the process.” Feiye Ti’s face displayed a look of worry, “They are now relying on their physical strength for a war of attrition. If they continue like this, neither of them will end up well.”

The battle continued, all the descendants of the Blazing Sky Gods and the angels watched with interest. Although the vast majority had no idea where on the ring Muria and Irvicester were fighting, the aftermath of the battle alone was enough to satisfy them. Watching the elemental aftermath was sufficient.

“Mr. Ilverst, concede! You can’t outlast me. If we continue, we’ll just be wasting our time.” Muria, panting heavily, said. His body was filled with stabbing, itching, and numb sensations; all caused by Ilverst’s Saintly Imperial Abyss. However, Muria believed his cousin to be in worse condition because he could see Ilverst, the heroic Blazing Sky God Descendant, was slightly shaking.

“Humph, you….” Irritation exposed on Ilverst’s face, he was extremely unwilling to surrender. He had noticed that Muria’s physical strength was stronger than his. He would indeed lose if they continued. It was an unfortunate fact of war.

“Squawk!” Just as Ilverst was preparing to recover his physical condition and fight Muria for another few days, a sound, both like a bird chirping and a beast howling, sounded throughout, piercing through the cloud and splitting rocks. Muria turned in the direction of the sound, spotting a giant beast full of wings turning into a white rainbow which was now flying towards them. Its terrifying majesty brought an endless hurricane that blew away all clouds in the sky. The first creature that would respond to Muria’s challenge had arrived….
