At such a sudden turn of events, an angry scolding filled with rage echoed across the sky dome immersed in purple light. Then, amidst the clouds, the purple light coalesced into a gigantic hand spanning ten thousand meters, reaching for the monster emerging from the portal, capable of devouring the earth.

However, facing this mighty hand imbued with divine might, only the first of the seven heads that emerged from the portal reacted slightly.

In the narrow pupils, relative to the immense head, almost tangible fury burned; a mere neck large as mountains, the monster opened its mouth and roared at the hand, generating a hurricane. A wild gale capable of slicing through everything tore apart the hand descending from the sky dome.

In an instant, the impressive hand was riddled with holes by the monster’s hurricane blast. And without waiting for the entity above the sky dome to intensify the attack, another head sighed from the ground and directly chewed up and swallowed the hand.

“Monster!”

A furious scolding resounded through the sky dome. The light that filled the entire sky contracted to a point, and a divine and majestic deity appeared in the sky dome, glaring fiercely at the monster stuck in the portal, the one attempting to enter this domain.

Roar!

Faced with the deity’s awe-inducing pressure, the monster, merely with the body that had appeared, colossal beyond imagination, looked up and responded with a roar as all seven heads lifted simultaneously.

Fourteen eyes scrutinized the deity in the sky dome. Then, a trace of disdain appeared in its eyes, which the deity clearly perceived, fueling his anger further.

“How dare a mere monster disdain me!”

Feeling that his dignity was insulted, the deity instantaneously increased the power supply to this avatar and also sent over his main divine artifact, determined to exert all his strength to slay this monster that scorned deities.

Boom!

A massive mushroom cloud slowly rose from the ground, but before it could take shape, it was torn apart by the chaotic hurricane—a battle erupting, matching a divine war in pure destructive power.

Feeling himself a victim of misfortune, the deity engaged in a desperate fight with the monster from an exotic realm. Beneath him lay the land where his believers proliferated; thus, to secure his existence, he had no retreat and was forced to choose battle.

But after some time into the battle, the deity enshrouded in purple divine light realized something horrifyingly shocking: his opponent, the monster with seven heads, was not complete but a remnant severed by some being.

This could be seen from the bloody cross-section at the back of the monster; it should have had more heads, but the being who had cut through its body seemed to have deprived it of the ability to regenerate itself. Thus, the monster with seven heads could only exist in a horrific form.

As the battle continued, the deity discovered a fact that filled him with shame—he was not a match for this giant serpent without special abilities. He already foresaw the scene of his imminent defeat.

Thus, after wrestling with reluctance for a while but getting thrashed repeatedly by the giant serpent who tore off part of his arm, the deity finally made a decision, setting aside his pride and began to seek help from his own divine master and the deities with whom he had alliances.

However, to the other deity’s despair, other than his divine master, who explicitly advised him to hold on for a moment, the other allied deities all responded with, “I have my own issues, unable to support you.”

Undoubtedly, this was a result that left the deity in a state of collapse, causing the deity caught in battle to start doubting divine life.

“What exactly did I do wrong? Why don’t the deities respond to my plea for help? Why won’t anyone assist me?”

But soon, the giant serpent, with only part of its body, taught the deity amidst this battle what the outcome of distraction could be.

Even the armor that could partially exempt him from damage was bitten through by the giant serpent’s fangs, the avatar sent down for battle was crushed, and the divine artifact was swallowed by the giant serpent.

This turn of events made the deity’s true self, who was ten thousand miles away and in an absolutely safe state, furious beyond comprehension—a loss both unfathomable and unacceptable.

And yet what truly shattered this Deity was what happened next, as with the defeat of his Avatar, the broken-bodied Giant Serpent, along with the Monster Tide, began slaughtering his Believers.

Every single minute, every second, the Deity could feel a vast number of his Believers being slain, and his Faith disappearing at a terrifying pace.

At this moment, aside from dispatching several Avatars to harass the Giant Serpent and delay the advance of the Monster Tide, he could do nothing but clutch onto an unrealistic hope and wait.

“Master of Divinity, please come quickly!”

The Deity, powerless on his own, could only place his hope in a being more potent than himself, hoping that the other could resolve the dilemma he faced.

But in reality, his hopes were in vain; as the number of his Believers killed by the Monsters increased, the Master of Divinity, who had claimed to come to his aid, was nowhere to be seen.

This made the Deity feel his own status beginning to destabilize, and just as he was about to plunge into profound despair and give up—

Boom—a cascade of Golden Thunder illuminated the sky, transforming into a myriad of spears that rained down on the Giant Serpent wreaking havoc upon the earth. For an ordinary Deity, the Giant Serpent was an insurmountable challenge, but now it was riddled with holes by this barrage of attacks.

And just as the Giant Serpent with thousands of penetrating wounds began to heal rapidly, a hand enveloped in Thunderfire slowly reached down from the Sky Dome and grabbed the Giant Serpent.

Despite the Giant Serpent’s desperate resistance, it was futile against this hand, which picked it up from the ground like a child picking up earthworms and sealed it into a Radiant Divine Bead.

With this, the Giant Serpent that had been a massive headache for the Deity disappeared, but the Deity dared not be careless, for the Monsters that the Giant Serpent had brought were still ravaging the earth. Moreover, he did not recognize the being who had defeated the Giant Serpent.

“This land has suffered severe damage! Alas, this is my negligence!”

An Avatar of a Divine Incarnation, with a Divine Wheel slowly revolving behind him, gradually appeared in the sky, and his Radiance was so bright that it replaced the sun.

“If I could only find some help!”

“Powerful lord, thank you for your aid, I am the God of Hunting and Protection, Toran Dade Aino, may I ask who you are?” After pondering for a long time, the local Deity cautiously sent forth an Avatar to probe.

“As you see, a Deity who suppresses Ancient Giant Beasts but inadvertently let some escape.” Muria spoke with a smile, introducing himself, and while speaking, his transcendent gaze swept across the ravaged landscape.

“A slip-up?”

Upon hearing Muria’s words, the Deity, who had been filled with gratitude, suddenly ignited with rage. Yet even in his anger, he still had to maintain a smile, bottling up his fury and daring not to show the slightest hint of it.

“Yes, I accidentally let some parts of this Ancient Giant Beast escape, causing you such significant losses, I am truly sorry. But rest assured,

this is my issue, so I will do everything in my power to rectify it.”

“How will you rectify this?” Despite sensing something amiss, the Deity couldn’t help but feel hopeful.

“I will dispatch a Legion. They will assist in clearing the Giant Serpent’s Minions and help restore your Believers to their numbers before the appearance of the Giant Serpent.”
