Chapter 1392: Chapter 1364: Hundred Gods Plan Chapter 1392: Chapter 1364: Hundred Gods Plan “What is this?”
Muria’s eyes reflected an undead creature with a perplexed consciousness, and a mysterious expression emerged on his face because this was to him a very interesting matter indeed.
“The scion of destiny born in the Land of Death!”
The newly ascended deity, although dedicating most of their energy to maintaining the fusion of worlds, could still spare some attention to observe or intervene in minor matters.
Destiny, indefinable and indescribable, was indeed governed by such a law. And a deity that mastered such a law was equally inscrutable.
Elasia boasted a Goddess of Destiny, who for reasons of her own, split into the Goddess of Luck and the Goddess of Misfortune. These two goddesses were not particularly powerful in the hierarchy of deities, yet nearly no god would dare provoke them.
Because of the unknown, no one knew when the original Goddess of Destiny had appeared. This mystery, combined with the peculiar nature of her power, resulted in her unique standing.
“Does this world also have a Goddess of Destiny? Or is it simply an innate intervention by the Destiny Law of the World Will?”
With a gentle tap of his finger, Muria manifested a skeletal knight enveloped in radiant spirit light before him. In the play of light and shadow in his eyes, he watched the recent transformation of a lowly undead into a powerful being by a twist of fate.
As the new Grim Reaper, Muria wielded control over all undead within this Land of Death. He could even rewind time within a certain frame to investigate the origins of any undead creature.
Thus, Muria once again marveled; not even the protagonist’s halo could describe the rise of the skeletal knight before him—for how could it compare to the boundless acceleration of this era’s protagonist?
The protagonist’s growth surely followed a process, endured trials and tribulations, and then strengthened justifiably. But what had this undead experienced? A windfall convergence of circumstance without any semblance of reason—Muria wouldn’t believe there was no external interference at play.
“How should it be handled?”
Observing the undead before him, whose strength continued to rise irrationally, threatening to reach the stuff of legends, Muria fell into contemplation. Even with his keen sight, he could not detect anything amiss with the undead, who appeared to have simply been extremely lucky, yet that was precisely the most suspicious aspect.
Muria could have accepted such a “king of luck” had it emerged in times of peril, but the issue lay in the location of this occurrence, unsettlingly within a divine domain. It was simply inconceivable.
A Divine Kingdom, despite its grandiose impression, was essentially a semi-plane clinging to the world, incapable of existence on its own. It was an unlikely birthplace for a king of luck.
Yet the illogical had happened. And the plausible explanation was that the laws of this Undead Kingdom were almost identical to the World Law. Moreover, with the ruler of this domain now bereft of wisdom, the World Will began to assume control of this fallen nation.
A multitude of thoughts flitted through his mind, and suddenly, Muria realized with a daring suspicion, “Were you born to oppose me?”
The skeletal knight, which had ascended by obtaining a strange substance naturally produced during the merging of two worlds, could not respond to Muria; in fact, it was as confused as could be, for its existence was far too fleeting for any independent reasoning.
Left without an answer, Muria, after some thought, decided to accept this undead with the lucky attribute. He had that measure of indulgence.
It was just a matter of luck, after all, with a ceiling on how far it could take one. Like his student who had faced some hardships yet had grown seamlessly into a deity in a short span, a divine force was expected within a millennium.
Muria didn’t believe this arbitrary luck could threaten his existence. With the strength to suppress such kingly luck, it was natural to consider converting it into an asset.
“Let’s try it.”
As Muria pondered, he made up his mind; a glimmer of dark golden Divine Light shone between his brows and then separated from him, descending upon the bewildered skeletal knight before him, seemingly ready to kneel in submission.
A pure surge of the Laws of Death enveloped the skeletal knight, forcefully elevating its essence even before the process was finished, causing its Soul Fire to become more lustrous and a subtle, inviolable majesty inherent to deities to emerge.
“By the authority of the Lord of Death, I hereby confer upon thee the title of Champion Knight King in my command.”
As Muria’s divine decree was uttered, the world roared in response, and immense laws cascaded upon the newly ascended Champion Knight King. A tiny Divine Attribute, formed from the crystalline separation from Muria, entered the new Death Knight deity.
And as this lucky undead was forcefully deified before it could even comprehend what had occurred, a wealth of knowledge surged into its consciousness diluting any emotions a being of intelligence would normally possess.
As he became a qualified deity, he also acquired the wisdom owed to a deity, and thus,
