King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1374 - 1374 1355 Lets Surrender
Chapter 1374: Chapter 1355 Let’s Surrender! Chapter 1374: Chapter 1355 Let’s Surrender! “Great-grandfather!” Aeolus arrived at the familiar yet somewhat unfamiliar domain of Xena Pus and immediately spotted an unexpected figure, his great-grandfather, Blazing Sky God Arudiba.
This was a relative he was not very familiar with, considering the generational distance, but he left a lasting impression on Aeolus because, unlike his other great-grandfathers from the Titan and Dragon King, this elder often strolled into his realm whenever he was ruling.
And indeed, because this great-grandfather frequently appeared, Aeolus had a very stable reign as Emperor of the Empire after his father left, hardly meeting any objection.
Although that was the case, Aeolus still felt a certain estrangement toward this great-grandfather, admitting to himself, as this elder hardly interacted with him whenever he visited.
“How come your will has awakened only now? Too slow, Aeolus, your bloodline is so strong that almost none among the three tribes can match you. Now, has this become a burden to you?”
“Great-grandfather, I…” Aeolus felt a little embarrassed when he heard his great-grandfather’s rebuke. What was with this familiar, somewhat doting tone?
He truly did not remember having any fond memories worthy of recollection with this elder. In his memory, their interactions hadn’t exceeded more than ten times.
“Cough, grandfather, Aeolus was born in a region with a unique environment. Although it’s somewhat dangerous, it’s not powerful enough to stimulate the awakening of his true self.”
Seeing his son uncomfortable with the elder, Muria recalled that he apparently hadn’t introduced the old beings of the Titan Tribe to this young one, but it was not a big deal.
Having grown up already, whether he recognized them or not didn’t matter. Considering how far he had come, according to the nature of the Epic Titans, they would at most just acquaint recognizably without offering any special favors.
“So there was a reason, then let it be. From now on, remember to seize every opportunity that comes your way, even resources in the great world are finite.”
Saying this, Arudiba cast a glance at Muria. With Muria’s current identity, his capabilities were much stronger than those of these Epics who could only act in limited capacities.
“I will arrange it for him,” Muria said with a gentle smile on his face.
“Since you are here, I won’t worry then.”
Thinking about Muria’s current identity and the power Muria had demonstrated when he tried to test him, Arudiba said nothing more and left to find his granddaughter.
Because of the Blazing Sky God Race’s unique secret techniques, Arudiba’s partner, his son, and daughter-in-law were all undergoing a difficult transformation, requiring long ages to become Epics capable of roaming freely in the Void.
For them, the Heavenly Demon Secret Technique emerged far too late; they had no chance to start over and could only continue steadfastly on the path of the Blazing Sky God Race.
Thus, in the Void, for Arudiba, Michaela was his closest person and whom he deemed most in need of his protection, although nowadays, it was uncertain who protected whom.
After Arudiba left, the divine light-filled ceremony suddenly quieted down, leaving Muria and Aeolus, father and son, looking at each other, unsure what to say to one another.
Muria was naturally proud of his eldest son; after all, to groom Aeolus, he had marshaled the resources of an entire nation. Although he wasn’t unrivaled in history, he certainly had precedents.
However, Muria admitted to himself that the trials he imposed on his eldest son were somewhat excessive, making it slightly awkward when he was alone with his son.
Aeolus felt similarly, but from the perspective of a victim. Facing the oppressor of his entire childhood, he felt utterly helpless as a son, unable to do anything, not even voice complaints.
“Do you have any plans? Or perhaps, a place you’d consider?” Finally, it was Muria, as the father, who chose to break the silence and proactively asked his son.
“Nothing for now,” Aeolus shook his head. His will had only just awakened, and from what his reincarnated body had gathered, he understood all domains he saw were under his father’s rule, so he was unsure what he could now do.
Right now, he was curious about what his father had been up to during his period of unconsciousness, having apparently expanded their territories even more vastly than initially in Elasia.
“If that’s the case, for now, follow my arrangements, adapt to them, and if you later come up with a good plan, you can leave then. How does that sound?” Muria asked his son kindly.
“Okay.”
For Aeolus, his father’s arrangement was the best option available to him at the moment. Thus, he willingly accepted, but simultaneously, a slight wariness arose in his heart.
His lifetime of experiences taught him that whatever his father was planning to offer, he needed to be ready to endure the same trial. His father’s gifts were never easy to accept.
