King of Titans and Dragons -
Chapter 1363 - 1363 1347 Undead Emperor
Chapter 1363: Chapter 1347: Undead Emperor Chapter 1363: Chapter 1347: Undead Emperor The battle erupted in an instant. Upon seeing the Dragon Blood, Muria targeted the knight exuding a divine aura, marking him for death.
Muria had confirmed that the ringleader responsible for killing his divine dragons was none other than this Death Knight, who dared to appear before him so brazenly.
The knight not only killed his subordinates but also extracted the essence from within the three divine dragons to empower her cavalry lance, fueling Muria’s fury.
Although it’s a common practice to fortify weapons with the essence of fallen enemies, that didn’t make the action any more tolerable.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The clash of metal weapons echoed across the Skeletal Wasteland, each strike sending hurricane-force shockwaves sweeping over the terrain. Fortunately, the wasteland, crafted by one side’s power, withstood the battle’s reverberations and stubbornly prevailed.
But this fortunate scene would not last forever. Despite having the advantage of a mount and being clad in thick armor, wielding a divine weapon powerful enough even for the gods, he was an experienced warrior deity.
However, the knight battling Muria gradually found himself outmatched, as the tide of the battle shifted irreversibly against him, transitioning from fighting to an onslaught.
Fortunately, his sharp weapon and his substantial armor meant that even when Muria’s Prison-suppression halberd broke through his Nether Spear and struck his armor, it only left a deep slash mark without breaching the armor.
Yet, such armor that could withstand the strikes of the Prison-suppression halberd only served to delay the inevitable for a moment longer. By the thirtieth round of combat, the Skeletal Wasteland could no longer bear the strain and collapsed, the desolate landscape of the Relic Ruins returned to view.
As the weight lifted following the collapse of the Skeletal Wasteland, Mirea easily kicked the divine knight from his mount. Just as Muria was about to deliver a fatal blow to the Death Knight, who had crashed deep into the ground, a roar shook the entire underground ruins.
Roar!
The mount, left without its rider, unleashed a colossal aura of malevolence. Purple-black Nether Fire blazed from the monstrous beast clad in beast-shaped armor, its presence even more formidable than when the knight had ridden it.
“How interesting!” Muria exclaimed, as he flung away the approaching Undead Beast that tried to latch onto him, laughing after feeling the power transmitted through his battle halberd.
“Your so-called master was nothing but a restraint on you, how bizarre!”
Just as Muria was reinforcing the surrounding earth of the ruins with his God Position [Earth] to prevent a collapse, preparing for an even fiercer battle.
The Undead Beast he had flung away reunited with the knight and fused together in a flash that Muria couldn’t stop, transforming into a half-human, half-beast monster, its aura intensifying once more.
“My subordinates, no wonder they met their demise!” Seeing the Death Knight before him evolve into new forms again and again, gaining strength continuously, Muria couldn’t help but sincerely exclaim, “It’s just like a BOSS in a game, what mortal creature could possibly withstand this?”
But, despite the sighs, even if it was the second explosion of power and form changes, the Death Knight facing Muria still had to honestly take a beating. Its surged power was not enough to turn the tables in the face of Muria’s advantage.
Holding the Prison-suppression halberd, Muria had stylishly thrashed the Death Knight. He was not yet satisfied and transformed into his Dragon King form amidst a passionate roar.
Once the golden Dragon King appeared underground, it was as though a sun had plunged into the earth. All darkness vanished under the light emitted by the Dragon King.
The knight in Black Armor appeared even more glaring and discordant in the light… But facing the golden Dragon King, who looked so brutally evil, when the knight met the Dragon King’s gaze, it seemed so weak and helpless.
When the knight’s Cavalry lance was taken and the Black Armor on his body was stripped away piece by piece, this feeling of weakness and helplessness grew even stronger.
Yet, discovering another set of Divine Artifacts, Muria was utterly indifferent to this. Although this find couldn’t revive the three God Dragons that had perished, at least it could console his saddened heart.
“Something is totally off!”
After the joy of acquiring the Divine Artifacts had passed, Muria, still in Dragon King form, fell into deep thought. He recalled the brief, intense battle and noticed many inconsistencies.
“Although the combat techniques met the standards of a war deity, the responses were too rigid, almost like mere instincts. Most crucially, even when driven into a corner with no possibility of victory, there was not the slightest impulse to flee.
If it were a regular undead, such behavior would be understandable, but as a deity wielding the Death Power, not retreating to the death? That’s illogical.”
“So, you’re not a deity, but an undead created using the corpse of a deity.”
Muria gazed down at the crystalline skeletal remains at his feet. Within the skull, he could still see the Soul Fire shining with Divine Glory. Although for mortal things, such Divine Glory was radiant enough, for True Gods, this light was indeed rather weak.
“Poor god!”
Without any empathy or sorrow for the fox’s death as empathized by the dead rabbit, Muria collected all the skeletal bones. The recent battle had fully validated the quality of these bones, so naturally, Muria would not waste them.
“Let’s see, what does this portal connect to? Is it really as I speculated?”
The expectant Dragon King murmured, then subdued his radiance and carefully passed through the portal formed by the Power of Faith, connecting to the Netherworld.
Then, the Dragon King arrived at a wasteland covered with skeletons, identical to the domain constructed by the Death Knight he’d just battled. However, the difference was the Death Knight’s realm was illusory, whereas what he was seeing now was real.
And what he saw was not just the wasteland. On the distant horizon, he saw mountains made of piled bones, very conspicuous. While Muria was carefully observing this world dominated by the undead, a mysterious roar echoed in the world,
“I am the immortal Undead Emperor, what can you all do to me?”
