Chapter 1331 - 1331 1316 Making Trouble Out of Nothing

Chapter 1331: Chapter 1316: Making Trouble Out of Nothing Chapter 1331: Chapter 1316: Making Trouble Out of Nothing Subduing you, making you subordinate gods under my command.

The true purpose of Lord Muria, the God of the Yellow Sand was crystal clear, yet could not be spoken aloud.

For weaker deities, becoming a subordinate god to a more powerful divine being, especially under the current circumstances, was a coveted opportunity. However, for a subordinate god like the God of the Yellow Sand, whose dominion had been partially seized, it was enough to make almost any deity hesitate.

The kind of subordinate god that lowly deities yearn for is one that maintains a simple hierarchical relationship, without too many ties binding the two—where if one seeks to leave, it can be done by paying a not too hefty price.

Therefore, the expectation that a deity would voluntarily become a subordinate god to Lord Muria was out of the question. No god would wish their status to rely entirely on the will of another, which was highly undesirable.

So

“I don’t know,” replied the God of the Yellow Sand, Ugo. This was the only answer he could give, lest he could not respond to the probing questions from his two allies.

“But you don’t have to worry too much. I’ve had some conflicts with that one and nothing happened, so surely nothing will happen if you go,” the God of the Yellow Sand said with a guilty conscience, telling ghost stories he himself didn’t believe. But one must strategize according to their position.

“Must we go?” asked a female deity with nine swaying tails, harboring a sliver of hope, “Can’t we not go?”

“Imagine sending an avatar of yourself to invite a mortal to your divine kingdom as a guest, and then consider your response if that mortal refuses,” responded the God of the Yellow Sand, prompting her to consider the situation from his perspective.

“…” The goddess known as the Charming God fell silent. As a deity being spurned by a mere mortal, what else could be done in such a situation but…?

“Don’t be nervous, it’s just avatars visiting. Even if something does go wrong, we are merely losing some strength, not a significant issue,” the deity with a human head and a deer body soothed his ally, and also himself.

“That may be so, but I suggest you two make the journey in your true forms. Doesn’t sending an avatar seem too disrespectful?” the God of the Yellow Sand offered his advice, diligently helping his own divine sovereign and leading his allies into a trap.

“In that case, Sand Lord, when do you think it would be appropriate for us to pay that being a visit?”

“The sooner the better is my suggestion. We might as well go now. Actually, you need not worry too much about that being—His nature is quite peaceful,” said the God of the Yellow Sand earnestly, speaking sincerely from the bottom of his heart.

However, he left unsaid: But that is only if you can become his subordinate gods; otherwise, He is a devious god.

“I understand,” said the two deities, exchanging a gaze. After a brief conversation with the God of the Yellow Sand, they allowed their avatars to return, for they were not foolish. They had seen how their ally had already sided with that being who controlled the power of the sun.

“Oh, the power to tower over everything, truly wonderful!” Muria let out a heartfelt exclamation.

In a world where order had collapsed and chaos reigned, for a god with immense power, it was paradise.

No need for any schemes, just overpower others with might. Just like the allies of the God of the Yellow Sand, who, despite their worries and fears, still dared not refuse his invitation.

Thinking of the tangled expressions on the faces of the two gods, Muria suddenly felt a hint of… boredom. Bullying the weak is really not an appealing amusement.

“That should be enough now, time to stir up some trouble! You still haven’t confirmed my location!” Muria shifted his focus from the God of the Yellow Sand, surveying the Earth Star Domain through the Luo Tian Mirror.

The Luo Tian Mirror, which should envelop the entire Earth Star Domain, now showed many dark areas. These dark zones were created by entities blocking the detection of the Luo Tian Mirror.

This was to be expected; after all, the Luo Tian Mirror was not a particularly powerful divine artifact. To spy on the existence of a deity without being discovered, it would need further enhancement. And for divine artifacts of epic stature, strengthening a weapon is no longer a matter of mere materials; source power is needed for enhancement.

As Muria muttered… nothing happened, all was calm, which made Muria fall into confusion and slight self-doubt. Why were things not proceeding as he anticipated?

“Father, what are you waiting for?” asked Gladys, Muria’s eldest daughter, seeing him mutter to himself.

“Testing,” Muria, not needing to maintain the so-called dignity of a deity in front of his daughter, supported his forehead with his hand, displaying an utterly puzzled posture,

“There are many deities in this domain. To them, I am a very unfamiliar being. They know I’m powerful, but they don’t know how powerful I am. Logically, they should send something to test me.”

“But they haven’t come to test me, so you are confused, Father?”

“Yes, the actual situation has deviated from my expectations. Could it be that the deities here are even more cowardly than I anticipated?” Muria was at a loss for explanation—something didn’t add up!

The godly collective of the great world can actually be seen as the ultimate biological chain, where tiny shrimps and small fishes in a normal food chain are merely replaced by those weaker deities.

Deities with different divine roles and levels of Divine Power all have their own place in this vast biological chain. At this moment, Muria entered this biological chain and likewise needed to determine Its own position within it.

To know one’s position in the divine hierarchy, the sole method was battle. But Muria had waited for a while and had not encountered what It desired.

“No tests, isn’t having fewer troubles better?” Gladys was somewhat puzzled; unlike her two sisters, she was a pacifist.

“Not better. We are now a not-so-small force in this Domain, and we must display a portion of our strength that is enough to instill fear in them. Otherwise, waging proxy wars in the future will be troublesome!”

“Then what do you plan to do, Father?”

“Since they won’t come to test me, I can only make the first move.” Muria sighed. Its current strength was in a rather awkward upper-middle position in the God Spirit Sequence of this great world, and It needed to expand Its divine roles and strengthen Its power.

Under the current circumstances, without a legitimate reason, It could not wage a major war. One of the more convenient means to expand Divine Power was to subdue Divine Beings, establish a Divine System, and at this time, reputation or fame was very important.

“Minister Milei, has there been any appearance today?”

In the Floating City hovering in the sky through pure technology, a dignified and majestic blonde woman gazed upon her subject, watching the middle-aged man before her.

“Your Majesty, everything is as usual, no anomalies have appeared.”

“It’s good if there’s nothing.” The empress inquired, her forehead resting in her hand, her face filled with worry, “You know how perilous our nation’s situation is. Any oversight could plunge our civilization into the Abyss, and our entire civilization might be destroyed.”

“Rest assured, Your Majesty, any deity that wishes to enter our world must step over my dead body,” the gallant commander at his prime assured their highest authority.

“What’s the use if you die in battle when a Deity enters our world? Don’t speak such pointless bravado again. Your duty is to guard that gate, to give our entire civilization a warning, not to fancifully oppose a God.”

“Understood, Your Majesty.”

“Sigh, although I know it’s wishful thinking, have our detectors found that Lord who once declared to protect our Yuguang Civilization?” The empress thought for a moment and then asked again.

“Your Majesty, not yet.” The commander of the fleet stationed at the Domain passage knew what the empress was hoping for.

“Sigh!” Although the response was expected, the empress couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

“What are you disappointed about? Think I would go back on my word?”

A gentle whisper echoed in the palace, accompanied by a faint, vast, and accommodating oppressive force. This pressure did not feel oppressive; in fact, it brought a comforting warmth, like the nurturing earth, like the warm sun of winter, comforting to behold.

“Lord Muria?” The previously worried empress immediately looked up surprised and joyful, her eyes falling on the black-haired golden youth who appeared before her.

Although He appeared taller and more mature than before, she recognized Him in a glance, the one who had promised to protect the Yuguang Civilization.

“I had some matters to attend to, so I disappeared for a while. Now that things are settled, I’ve come back to honor my pledge,” said Muria, looking at the empress whose face was alight with joy, sensing her emotions align with what showed on her face. The ruler of this civilization was joyful and relaxed because of His appearance.

“How have you all been holding up during this time?”

“Our civilization is still carrying on the Inheritance.”

“I’m sorry, I left when you needed me the most,” Muria expressed a sense of regret. Initially, because of His wife, He made a promise to the ruler of this civilization, but He hadn’t been able to fulfill it well.

“Looking at your current state, things don’t seem very good. Can you tell me in detail what happened after you lost my trail?”

“Well…” The empress began to recount the tragic circumstances of the Yuguang Civilization during this period.

The Yuguang Civilization, in a bid to prevent the appearance of a God, had dispatched armies to seal the various Spatial Domains. However, when a true God appeared, they immediately retreated and contracted their defenses.

“Hmm, your encounters with the Gods must not have been too pleasant, right?” Muria caught on to His key interest after listening, “Tell me more about that.”
